The service we received was terrible!!! We ordered a chicken teriyaki bento box which comes with miso soup, tempura veggies, and salad; a cherry blossom brown rice roll which is "crab meat, tuna, salmon and avocado"; a small miso soup; a cucumber avocado roll which was not on the menu; and a chicken tempura roll. We arrived around 7 pm and found that there were no customers in the restaurant. The food was not ready. Not a big deal. However, we could not pay for the meal upon arrival, which would be the most efficient way to handle a take out order, because the kitchen had the ticket. When the food was ready, and we were able to pay, we waited 10 minutes while they hand added the price to the ticket. The longest part was waiting to decide how to charge the cucumber avocado roll. The solution was to charge a dollar to add the cucumber to an avocado roll. Basically we paid for 2 whole cucumbers at a grocery store to add a few bites to a roll. We got home and found we were missing the bento box soup, the chicken bento was beef, the cucumber avocado roll had no avocado, and the "crab meat" was actually a mushy crab salad with some sort of creamy white slop. We called to ask about the missing avocado and the bento box meat and soup. The staff member who answered the phone told us that the soup doesnt come with takeout. The online menu does not specify that. We could not get any help so we asked for a manager. From the manager, we asked for credit for the avocado roll because we did not want to drive back for a $5 roll. The manager refused and said they would make us a new cucumber avocado roll (with the avocado this time) and replace the bento box if we brought it back. Hungry, the bento box recipient preferred to just eat the beef. We asked the manager about the soup and received the same, "Sorry this is our policy". The website says it comes with soup. How is this not the published policy? We asked for contact for the owners and were told to call on a Tuesday or Thursday evening. Since I live in Florida, I cannot come back and meet anyone face to face meaning that I may talk to yet another employee and never reach the real owners. This is a poor management practice as well. Since we could not get a refund, my friend ventured back out into the cold and drove back to the restaurant, wasting gas money on their mistake, and picked up the roll. The manager threw in an extra cucumber avocado roll, not requested, as an "apology" but also gave a very insincere verbal apology. What I wanted was professional service. I dont need free food. I just want my food right the first time, then if not, a sincere apology and a real solution.

I used to absolutely love this place. But their customer service has gone down hill these last few years even worse this last visit. Tonight we came here do my birthday dinner at about 6:15pm. They tried to seat 4 adults & a high chair on a table made for just 4. I didnt want us to be squeezed on one table with a baby so I asked them to add a 2 person table to it. The hostess eventually allowed it. We ordered about 10 minutes after being seated. We ordered 4 different sushi rolls & 3 of us got entrees. About 45 minutes later we get my brothers entree & not too long after, we received the other 2 but no sushi. Sushi shouldnt take longer than things cooked on a grill or stove. We sat there for about 10 minutes waiting for my husbands sushi to arrive when our waitress finally told us there is an OVER 45 minute wait for sushi & that there are still lots of orders before ours & some have been waiting for their sushi longer. I am someone big on customer service but I feel that being told there is an over 45 minute wait for sushi when we sat down. Especially because if that was the case we would have went somewhere else. Anyway, my husband cancelled his sushi order after we found that out & told us to eat. While eating, not one manager came to our table to apologize. In fact, our waitress didnt either until I demanded to speak with a manager & she gave us our bill. They didnt even offer a discount or comp a meal for any of the inconvenience. We sat there & had dinner without my husband!!! As I asked for a manager the waitress tells me that they dont have one. That they do not have anyone managing anything & it had been that way for a week. I asked for the managers contact information, she tells me shes not allowed to give that out. So I gave her a situation, if a fire Marshall were to step in here & ask for a manager you have no one here that would step up as even a stand in manager. She says no. The waitress gave me a card & asked me to put my name down with my number & she will be sure to give it to the owner. I questioned how will I know for sure that the owner will get it. She assured me that they will. I better hear back from them. I got waitresses name. After paying in full for cold food & my husband having to watch us eat dinner. I do not recommend it. Ill keep in touch & let you all know if I even hear from the owner. Or I will be calling the restaurant Monday evening. This restaurant has lost any kind of customer service.

Horrible service, waited 10 minutes to be seated and it was 1:30 in the afternoon. I asked if they had hibachi lunch and the server said "I dont know" (after I ordered I saw that they did) then I asked what their lunch specials were and she said half of all specialty rolls, then I asked what about the individual sushi and she said those are not half off but they are discounted, great! I ordered 3 rolls, my food came and I asked what rolls were which the server said I dont know... I asked if she could go find out. I figured she was new but this was the 2nd time she "didnt know". I got my bill and only one roll was discounted -$4.48, the other two rolls I ordered were $13.95 & $11.95 they were still full price. I told the server that only one was discounted so she looked at it and came back and said thats right. I asked to speak with a manager, this total ignorant prick came over and said whats the problem? I explained that the server told me all specialty rolls were half off and Im assuming because shes new she wrang it up incorrectly and I also told him she also didnt know which rolls were which or whether or not they had hibachi. He told me well shes not new, and I never have problems with her so this is what you need to pay, the rolls are buy one get one half off. Horrible customer service and people skills. If he knew anything about the restaurant industry he would have apologized and done something to fix it. Instead he told the customer they were wrong- they lost my business and everyone I know. Also, got sick later that night, doctor said it was FOOD POISONING. Since I only had a banana earlier that day Im guessing it was their sushi! ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!
