Ive been meaning to try this place for a long time. Id heard about it through friends. Finally I took the wife out for a quiet breakfast at the Heritage House. First the place. Very old, comfortable, been around awhile feel. Not real big but you wont have to wait to be seated. If you have the time, there is a lot of history on this little corner in Vacaville. Next, the food. Come here hungry. I had the short stack of pancakes and they were giant. I almost made it through two thirds of the plate before I had to call uncle. My wife had a veggie omelette of some kind and again, a lot of food. The pancakes were really good and the omelette was good and fresh. I only had a sip of my wifes coffee but I agree with the other posts that it is really good coffee. The prices are about average for this area. They give a military discount, so that also helps. The reason for only 4 stars is that, like other posts have stated, the service is lacking. There was one waitress busting her buns to get to everyone and run the register. Its not that she did poorly, just that there should have at least been one other to help. While we were here we did hear that the ownership will be changing early this spring. Not sure what that means for the food or ambience but time will tell I guess. As of now, I will definitely come back here to try more of their food.

Old home style diner type restaurant. The building itself can use some upgrading but that is what lends to its charm. Food is definitely good. We went the on a Saturday morning. Place was hopping. Our service was good. I ordered my usual eggs over medium, crispy hash browns & crisp bacon. I received eggs over hard, light brown hash browns and crispy bacon. I didnt mind much because I knew the cooks were extremely busy. And it still tasted good. I dont know where they get their eggs but they taste awesome compared to other restaurants. Maybe its the butter. Same with the hash browns. Their biscuits & gravy is a winner. Sausage patty is spot on also. As Arnold Schwarzenegger said, "Ill be back".

The folks at Heritage House are a welcoming, down-to-earth bunch. Service is by and large spot-on, and the menu is loaded with comfort food favorites and a few more exotic additions.(Who knew you could find a Veggie Frittata at a diner?) Theyre a little high on $ for the fare offered, but maybe the Pony Express marker outside needs special maintenance. Great people, good food, so-so prices, but a wonderful place to eat.

Best breakfast in town in my humble opinion! I come often and made my way to regular status... the waitresses and the owner are all lovely ladies, they know what I want every time unless I feel like switching it up. The food is great, I havent had anything I didnt like yet. Yum!

Had breakfast and lunch, and both are great. We go every Sunday and the staff knows us by name. It feels like a home away from home which is why we keep coming back. I always order a hot link or two on the side for whatever breakfast I get. Give it a shot.

The feeling of this cafe is so comfortable. I felt like one of the regulars from the first time I ate there. The Heritage house Bellini is fantastic. Just great comfort food.
