Its got its good and bad. Food is great and its main customers are chinese which shows they make authentic food that is very delicious. I have gone to this place many times and I was never disappointed with their food. However, issue is the customer service. I have both eaten in and taken out and experience in all times have been poor in customer service. If you do not try your best to get their attention especially if you are not chinese, you wont get any customer service. If you are taking food out, you are left standing there and ignored for a long time as the cashier also serves as a waiter and walks off alot and only when he or she has some spare time does he/she take your take out order. They do not even acknowledge your presence until they are ready even if there is a few people lined up. Not even a simple "hello" or "please wait".

5/29/2015 The only Chinese restaurant Ive been to in Sunnyvale during my short trip to California and we ordered the Beef Short Ribs Eggplant w/Pork Slice Casserole Tofu and Fishballs Everything tasted great though it might be too flavorful for some. In comparing this to NYs Chinatown, this is similar to XO Kitchen style. Much to my surprise the short ribs were marinated in Sa Cha sauce which gave it a refreshing peppery taste. The Tofu and Fishballs was tasteless but the soy sauce (with some hot oil) made it perfect and of course the Eggplant Casserole was very oily but the excess salt hindered the Eggplants natural sweetness. My only complaint is the rice tasted like it could have been recooked from the day before but overall excellent and very true to Cantonese cuisine.

They were kind enough to serve me with only 10min left before closing, but I must admit that the food was disgusting and I vomited it all up about 1.5hrs later. I have not had "hong-kong" style cuisine, but my chicken chow mein had what appeared to be tripe instead of chicken? Barf. (If that is the norm, then please disregard.) The won-ton soup and even just the broth itself was inedible (yeah, thats right) and the spring rolls were even gross. I hope that I am not just disgusted with hong-kong style and accidentally giving this place a bad rap. Regardless, my body agreed with my review and refused to let me sleep without throwing up every last bit of what I had tried to consume.

Haha, if you dont understand Hong Kong street vendors (大排档)(Dai Pai Dong) styles food then dont comment on this restaurant. In U.S. find this type of cooking is hard, and authentic, is almost impossible. I gave 90% rating, and the services supposed to be "rude" because thats how Cantoneses expression. You have to speak the language and speak loud to them. That means you are one of them, then the door is wide open. Good luck, Ming is a bad ass Hong Kong style restaurant that you can find in the States.

Great food..... I dont appreciate the obvious racism. Another man (Latino) was leaving very upset because he waited 50 minutes and nobody took his order. I brung my kids and we felt very unwelcome. I had to stare the lady down to take my order. When I asked questions about the food because I wanted to try something I saw on another table.... She just walked away. How crazy to think it is okay to treat people different and treat your race better. Im very sad!

Great Hong Kong style Chinese food and it opens until late. It is my go-to place if I need any food late at night. However Im very disappointed at the XO source fried rice. Its marked with a chili pepper on the manu but its not spicy at all. I cant even taste any XO source. Other fried rice dishes are good. People can be more friendly but hey its HK style. What are you expecting?

Unhappy experience. We ordered a bakrib rice, sticky rice, two BBQ combo BBQ pork and roast duck, beef chongqing style and tomato beef overrice. There all tasted bad. We have 5 people, but we all had unsatisfactory experience. We all felt disappointed. 之前看過灣區小分隊的推薦來嘗試的 但是真的太失望了 五個人沒有一個人點到好吃的菜⋯

Had seafood porridge, several dim sum and a pot. Material: not good, the seafood is of bad quality. Service: not good, served dim sum when its still raw and replaced without any sorry. Other: the serving is very big, a big bowl is more than enough for one. Came because of no waiting line.

Good food and portions with a price that gives this restaurant good value. Highly recommend the rice congee (the larger size is nearly double the smaller size), as well as the string beans. Havent tried the dim sum, but look forward to doing so!

We usually go here every so often. Im a big fan of the lemon chicken and its usually cooked well. I cant speak about the authenticity but I like the food here. Only complaint is trying to get a waiter always takes some effort.

The congee taste good. Unfortunately, the food is very dirty there. I went there about a week ago. I found a big fly in my congee and I was sick that night. Dont go there. You dont want to risk your life.

Great Hong Kong style Chinese food! The beef chow fun (dry) and the Yang Chow fried rice are particularly good. One of my favorite restaurants to go to when Im in this area.
