Marmalade Café is located on Kester and Ventura where there’s plenty of free meter street parking on Sundays. They do offer valet for I am guessing those busy days but Ventura is a meaty street so not too hard to find parking. The restaurant is super keep and keeps up with its charm. Although Marmalade Café is a chain restaurant each location has a different vibe correlating with its environment. This place seems very rustic with its French hardwood doors and Greek Iconic columns. It’s certainly an adorable spot from brunch or dinner. Now my favorite part……. BREAD PUDDING!!!!!! Bread pudding is my absolute favorite dessert of all time! Its texture, its flavor, I mean really you can’t go wrong. And Marmalade Café surly proved that! I came here specifically to appease my sweets craving and boy was it satisfied. The behemoth of a bread pudding serving they give is almost offensive and the ice cream on top seals the gluttonous seal. Ohhhh if you are looking for a tasty dessert then this is it. I also had the NY Cheesecake with an indistinguishable strawberry or raspberry compote. It was super creamy with an overwhelming cake to crust ratio. If you like more cheesecake than graham cracker crust you will be in luck! Both desserts were MASSIVE, huge enough to be shared individually. Service here is great, our waitress was super friendly! HH begins 3pm-7pm daily with $5 drink specials and on Wednesdays they allow you to bring in your own wine without a corkage fee. ONLY problem is the drinks here weren’t that great. It could have just been a one-off but certainly worth trying especially during HH.

Crowded, but was very pleased when we got seated quickly. Drink orders were taken and I had ordered coffee and water. I was served coffee with no cream or even asked about needing any. I had to flag down another worker cleaning a nearby table to request cream. Food arrived very timely but my daughter had ordered a 1/2 Cobb Salad. When it arrived we were shocked at how big it was. The person who brought it to our table said that it was a full salad but would take it back to get the one we had ordered. He returned shortly to explain that it was the servers mistake and we would be charged for the 1/2 salad. Then the server that took our order came to our table and made the same promise. I picked up the bill for the lunch but didnt pay attention to the bill. Now that I am going thru my receipts for the day, I do see that they charged full price for the salad. If youre NOT going to do something then just dont offer it. There are at least 15 restaurants in that area and Im sure we could of gotten a Cobb Salad for less than $15.75. Wont be going back.

This is the email that I tried to send to marmalade home office but the email was "kicked back": Today, I took my wife, daughter and granddaughter to lunch. After a 40 minute wait( even though I had made a reservation) we received a meal that was 50 percent inedible. Instead of "grilling" the simple grilled cheese sandwich they used two sides of open-faced cheese sandwich slabbed together to imitate a "grilled" cheese sandwich. The Texas size bread added to their non-grilled status. I couldnt believe how bad they were and when I told a hostess she joked about another local restaurant that might have better grilled cheese sandwiches. I begrudgingly paid by Amex, left a tip and decided not to make a fuss as your waitstaff and employees were obviously overloaded and I wasnt going to return any time soon. Your lunch was underwhelming.

It may have been a bad night but the service and the food was not satisfactory. The manager said that they were short staffed because of a large party. To me it was the shortsightedness of the manager for not providing better service for his other customers. It took an unusually long time for a waiter to take our order. When the food finally arrived my beef sandwich seemed to have more fat than beef. I did not send it back because I did not want to wait a long time for another one. The other people at our table found their food was not worth the money that they paid for their meals. I had to go from my table to the bar to ask for a glass of water because the waiter did not come to our table to refill our glasses with water.

A very busy lunch crowd fills this restaurant with incredible energy. The servers are knowledgeable, friendly and efficent. Menu is quite complete, however, the one warm vegan item, a burger, was sold out. I ordered the guacamole. My wife and our friend had the mushroom soup and salad. We liked both and thought them quite good. Full service bar. Wheelchair accessible. There are three bathrooms: male and female with grab assist bars and a gender neutral bathroom which is not wheelchair accessible. Courteous valet parking in the paid lot behind the restaurant.

:-) :-) If you have not been here you are totally missing out and you need to come in right away! Their takeout is equally as good as getting food dine-in! :-) Heath is an awesome manager and all of the staff are fantastic! Jose the bartender is terrific and makes the best drinks ever! :-) My absolute favorite is the lobster linguini and I just tried the fish and chips and they were incredible! :-) :-) I would give this place 20 Stars if I could! I had the cheesecake last time I was there and it was awesome too.. :-) :-)

Every time we eat at Marmalade (usually Sunday breakfast) it is superb. The staff is friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere is pretty good. Not crazy about the new big screen tvs all over the place, it does cut into the French-style charm. But the food is super and their soups especially are terrific. We are very fond of their Lobster Tuesdays! An excellent deal. Get rid of those big tvs and it will be a perfect place.

Marmalade is a good casual place to go, and they have really upped their game lately in regards to their food. Food is GREAT with a nice presentation...and portions are a good size also. You can eat at the bar or at a table, but the servers are nice either way. Its not five star atmosphere with snooty waiters---more like 4, but I give them high marks due to the food which is excellent and at a good value.

Exceptional service. Came down here for Thanksgiving dinner and the food was to die for. Their watermelon agua fresca was refreshing amd the best mixed drink Ive ever had. The portions for the turkey dinner were huge which surprised me. The turkey was perfect, the sides were perfect, and the pumpkin pie was one of the best Ive ever had. Can not wait to come again!

The best California breakfast there is. If you have not been there and tried the eggs benedict, then you are truly missing out. There is no other restaurant around that serves this perfectly tasting and unique hollandaise sauce, perfectly cooked eggs, and the most awesome tasting potatoes with sweet red peppers. I can taste it now. I cant wait for breakfast!!!
