I came here for a wedding reception on Hollow’s eve. The staff was super accommodating and friendly. For the large party that we had they were kind enough to bring us food as we ordered it. On each table there was complimentary jicama and cucumber with chile de arbol, lime and salt. This was already a good start for me since I love anything with lime. I ordered the quesadillas, (cuitlacoche, corn, truffle and goat cheese). It was delicious! The bride and myself split the young goat birria and the 24 hour carnitas, they both were superb, delicious flavor and texture. I haven’t had birria in years and it made me remember why I love it so much. And of course we tried the cocktails, we were celebrating love after all! I was able to taste almost every drink from the raspado, palma, corazon espinado, and the white and red sangria. They were all very delicious cocktails. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the white sangria, but somehow I still manage to drink my cup of it. ☺ While it is a little on the pricey side, I would definitely come back for a special occasion.

What a great place to people watch while eating great food! The restaurant is located right on the main street where all the action takes place. Grab a seat on the patio area on a nice day and watch all the tourists bike by and people eating their Lapperts ice cream. If you want less action, theres always the seats inside. The food was pretty good, but I have to say it was a little lacking in flavor. We got the fresh guacamole with chips. It was indeed fresh but lacked flavor beyond the avocado taste. The coctel mixto ceviche was really good and that did have the citrus kick I was looking for. The fried pork belly tacos were good, but definitely on the fatty side, which is fine, but just eat fast before it cools down and turns into pure unhealthiness. If you do decide to sit on the patio, be ready for passerbys to gawk at your food, pointing and salivating while you eat. Or even taking a pic of themselves in front of the restaurant with you photobombing their pic.

Have now been to this establishment twice. First visit was as part of a group/party. We ordered off the regular menu and the food blew me away. I had the rotisserie chicken with pickled veggies, black beans and quinoa. The chicken was moist and well seasoned, the quinoa was rich and amazing, with pearl onions in it. The pickled veggies were a nice diversion. Given how much I enjoyed my selection the first time, I ordered the identical thing on my second visit. This time we sat outside so we could "people watch" the tourists. On this visit the food was underwhelming, chicken was dry and lacked flavor. The quinoa was also not nearly as flavorful. The appetizers we had were great, but the meal itself fell flat. I really wanted to love this place too, and yes I know the menu is seasonal so I may have try this a 3rd time to see which side of the fence the food lands on. On both visits the service and decor were very good.

We were there 4th of July weekend! 2017! 07-04-17..We were greeted by the hostesses and he says I cant seat a big party right now my husband and I look at each other and we tell him its only 3 of us! Lol... so he says its going to be 1 hour wait which we agreed too so we wait It was supper busy but they managed to get us in after an 1 hour wait! Then we sit down it was super clqosterphocbic food was disgusting over rated, and over priced! waiter was rude and didnt attend to us unless we were ordering shots of tequila which we didnt but everyone else was doing that night and they got super awesome service that night! Unless youre drunk that night their food is disgusting and over priced! Never going back there again!

Eating at Copita was the perfect end to a day of hiking at Muir Woods. The atmosphere was cozy (on the small side) but enjoyable, the service was responsive and friendly, and the food was interesting, delicious, and seemed authentic (Mexican). I had the chicken tamale and my husband had the roasted half chicken. My portion seemed just right for me; his was enough and to spare for him; however, hes not a big eater. His food came with a bowl of a somewhat spicy bean and beef dish reminiscent of chili. We both loved it, and we are not spicy-food tolerant. We recommend this gem and plan to return! With friends!

Went here on a whim after a bus tour of San Fran and Sausalito, and we were glad we stopped. We were weirdly told that wed have to wait 35-40 minutes (it wasnt packed), but then a server quickly swooped in and said that we could definitely be seated in 5-10. We got guac and fish and chicken tacos. The fish tacos were just okay, but the chicken was some of the best Ive tasted! The guac was great too, as well as their chips. We also got a marg and one of their specialty cocktails which were also great too, especially since it was a hot day!

Stopped in today just to check it out after hearing rave reviews on Check Please on TV...well, place is very cute and people very nice ..we ordered food to take home and were totally disappointed. Both items were mediocre and my husband actually threw his whole meal of Goat in the garbage as it was totally salty. But the chips were very good...overall very disappointed after really anticipating this experience. Had planned a birthday lunch for someone here next week but wont spend another dime at Copita...too bad.

Wanted to love it but couldnt. Salad and comp starter were too sour - too much lime juice, lobster tacos were unappetizing, containing lobster scraps - insulting at $10/tiny taco, 24hr carnitas actually tasted microwaved - dry and tasteless. Cute spot, good salsa verde, and great tequila selection - would maybe return for drinks and try other tacos, but they sure got a lot wrong the first time.

Great spot for Latin inspired food. Seating indoor and outdoor is plentiful, and the vast is fully stocked. I recommend the ceviches (the one with shrimp is pretty great). The tacos are messy and hard to eat. If they ask if you want chips and salsa, its different than chips with guac and salsa by about $7. Be careful and check the menu. Overall, good place, good vibe.

Found hair in my taco!! It was so gross. Told my server Kimia and she had a very arrogant and rude attitude toward the whole situation and did not know how to handle. Then she came back and asked what we wanted her to do. Will never go back and I recommend this place to teach their staff how to treat the customers better. Food was also not amazing and very overpriced.

A fairly pricey restaurant for good but flawed food. The tacos generally tasted fine, but they were rather unwieldy to eat. Namely, the chicken tinga tacos had an excessive amount of liquid, and the singular piece of fish in the fish tacos was shaped almost like a square making it hard to get bites of fish besides in the center of the taco.
