The Owner and Staff are amazing and the grinders were even better. Its a small Deli, limited seating inside but a nice patio with several umbrella tables make up for it. Its on a corner, hard to see but it is worth the adventure to find it. The grinders come in 3 sizes, with several roll choices. You have the "Small" aka lunch for 1, "Half" aka lunch and dinner or lunch for 2 and the popular "Large" aka 18 inches of pure delight thats lunch, dinner, midnight snack, breakfast and Elevensies. The Owner was so kind, he went through the menu with us, and he is informative with the facts that matter most. I shared a "Half" size Smoked Black Forest Ham grinder with provolone cheese and easy on the Mayo with our picky eater. Hubby had the most popular grinder, the "Half" size East Coast Grinder Sandwich Combo which was absolutely HUGE. As listed on the menu, it is amazing, full of flavor and you wont miss Mayo or mustard......and the peppers- beautiful green sliced peppers with no heat at all but knock your socks off flavor. Best lunch in SLO! Dont skip the cookies.

I always just thought I wasnt a sandwich person... and then I found giant grinder. It is the best sand which I have ever had. While there are more "fun" and good sand which places in slo this is my ole faithful. I always get the east coast combo and it never fails me. While I enjoy one of those offbeat quirky sandwich places from time to time I always come back to grinder. The staff is so friendly, they always get my phone order correct and its waiting for me when I walk in. They also have a awesome loyalty program. The inside seating is limited but with our beautiful weather sitting out side is a pleasure. Thanks brad and team for all your hard work and your tasty sandwiches!

Ive been meaning to try this place for probably close to ten years and finally did. Boy am I glad I finally made the effort to stop here! The staff was super friendly and very efficient. I came during a lunch rush, but only waited a few minutes while they were cranking out called in orders. Ordered both a cold and hot sandwich to take to my wife for lunch together. They were both delicious. The chicken parmesan had me singing Peyton Manning the rest of the day. I highly look forward to coming back here.

I had a hot, spicy pastrami and the sandwich was good. It was an normal size sandwich, definitely not giant, puffed up with lots of ice burg lettuce. The pastrami was tasty and the spicy was definitely there! The crew is very nice and very helpful, and every sandwich is definitely custom made. Good ingredients, Very clean and a good stop for a sandwich. Thank you Giant Grinder.

I would highly recommend Giant Grinder. The owner is so nice and personable and hes done a great job hiring people with the same qualities. Not to mention they have the BEST meatball sandwiches in San Luis Obispo by far. And they are huge...I can totally be content splitting a half sandwich with someone. Thank you Giant Grinder!

I got there at 4:45, they say they close at 5, well when I got there the doors were locked it was way before 5 and the ladie looked at me, shrugged her shoulders and continued closing. Wont go here again
