Went for the first and last time ever on Thursday night before the farmers market (3/10/16). According to receipt, 5:12pm. My friend was picking up the tab, so I ordered the Chile Verde nachos, listed for $5 on the "Thirsty Thursday" pub menu. When my friend paid, she questioned why her tab was higher than calculated. Upon review of receipt, it was discovered that my friend was charged full price. When my friend went back to the tall female cashier/server with long hair wrapped up on her head, your employee refused to refund the difference and walked up to the board, wiped off the 5$ price leaving the food item listed on the board, telling my friend that "Ill fix the board later." This was not done anytime that we were still there. The demeanour of your employee was rude and evassive. Business law and ethics, if Im not mistaken, require the error to weigh towards the customer, not the business. I will provide you with the receipt & transaction # upon request. I trust that you will make this right, ethically. I do have a picture of your menu board, but unfortunately taken after your employee removed the post cost of said nachos. Thank you for your prompt attention in this matter.

I used to go to the original location almost every weekend when visiting my Dad. This was my first time at this Downtown SLO location, and I have to say, go to the original if you want clam chowder. The chowder at this location is very, very thick, and lacked their "signature" taste. Its hard to describe.. but Ill tell you this: When I participate at the clam chowder tastings at the festival in Pismo Beach, I know exactly which sample is from Splash. The rest of my party had clams and fish and chips. They very much enjoyed them, especially the clams in a tomato sauce. The one thing I do like about this location is that it has space. Youll most likely find a table.

We went on a Monday and the $5.00 Bread bowl of clam chowder hit the spot. During the rest of the week its $7.50. This is a very casual place but there is a lot more than just clam chowder on the menu. A variety of desserts are available from their bakery too. The shop is right downtown and all the people behind the counter were very pleasant. Fast service too!

Unless you like your Chowder filled with saturated fat / cream/ calories, potatoes, & a few tiny bits of canned clams...you may op for another dish. It is fast food tended to by the younger crowd. Extremely popular with most....but you may want to check the ingredients on the web first...especially if you count calories, or on a heart healthy diet.

Got the large order of clam steamers here. Ive been to the Pismo Beach location a bunch of times but this was the first time here at the Downtown SLO location. Food wasnt too bad, I did get my order to go so I didnt dine in. The decor isnt as kitchy as the Pismo location but it works for downtown SLO.

Much better atmosphere and bigger than the other SLO location. Employees here also seem to be friendlier and happier. Chowder is very good, of course. Fish and chips are pretty tasty, as well. Pomegranate Italian soda was delicious.

The food is amazing! My family had their famous clam chowder bowl and it was superb! The fish and chips, shrimp, and the lobster rolls are fantastic as well!!! I will definitely be a repeat customer every time I visit the area! ☺

Great food! We had just eaten at a fancy restaurant the day before and kids wanted more muscles and clams. This place hit the spot and the flavors were great! We only paid 1/4 of the price! We will be back for more!
