If youre a specialty coffee fanatic and live in south Orange county you know hidden house. If you dont know hidden house I question your coffee loyalty. Hidden house has been pumping out single origin, lightly in-house roasted coffees since the beginning and there not showing any signs of slowing down. The coffee selection rotates a tiny bit as they run out of green coffee but you are almost always going to find Ethiopian on the shelves. Family, and veteran owned this place feels like a slice of old school America. In addition to great coffee you must try every pastry the offer... Theyre all made in-house as well by an on staff pastry chef... Dont worry about that diet for one day and literary buy one of reach to sample with your friends. You wont be disappointed.

If you are in the area and are looking for an amazing coffee shop, look no further. Walking up to the actual spot looks simplistic, but the brews and pastries are anything but. I did not get a chance to try all the brews but I did get a chance to taste their vanilla latte and it was delicious A friend of mine actually works here and recommended I tried the bagel bombs. It was absolutely delicious. It was warm and in the center theres this little nugget of cheese that just adds excellent salty flavors to the warm bagel. Definitely check this place out! You wont be disappointed. Also the owner is a Prior service Marine so O thought that was cool:)

Im Italian and my standards for espresso are extremely high. The first thing I noticed is that they put coffee in a water-glass and water in the usual coffee cup. But this is not very important. I ordered an espresso and I was really confident to try one of the best espressos in the US. Unfortunately it was not like that. Their espresso is probably even worse than the Starbucks one. Im quite disappointed. The place is nice and hipster-style and everything is quite expensive but quality...well I cannot judge everything but if you are looking for a good espresso dont come here.

Absolutely loved the coffees we sampled at HHC! We tried both Ethiopian and Guatemalan pour overs and they were OUTSTANDING! The roast was perfect. The folks there take care to prepare your coffee exactly as it should be, and make each customer feel welcome. We had heard great things about HHC and decided to stop in while vacationing in the area. So glad we did! If you want to experience the best flavor of coffees from around the globe, in a very cool setting, this is the place! the iced mocha was awesome! Today on October 8 the barista could have been nicer to me. There was no hours of service sign posted anywhere I recalled and looked for it. But they refuse any service after I walked right in. I was very fond of that ice drink I had many months ago but to not acknowledge an excited patron made me absolutely edit my feedback. How can a store become so sloppy at this. Starbucks wow now I know why they get the lions share of all those people who like a sip of coffee.

This is NOT your standard grab and go coffee joint. If Starbucks speed is your goal, thats fine, but this place is not for you. They have one, double group, manual espresso machine, so there is usually a short wait, but they make each drink with purpose. Roasted in house, served with quality in mind, from a humble staff. It is my go-to spot when I have the time to enjoy a coffee. Its quiet and comfortable, with mostly outdoor seating. If you truly enjoy coffee, stop by.

The location is very nice and the staff is friendly and helpful. The service, though, is a bit slow: there were very few people and we waited quite long for just two espressos. Moreover, I had the worst espresso Ive ever had. Im Italian and I have high standards, but all over the US I have more than good espressos. The ambience is overall nice, but on the trendy-hypster side, so that affects the prices.

It was three years ago that a very special friend and I made a pact to meet here at Hidden House Coffee on this date, October 24 at 8am every year no matter what. First year a wonderful success. Second year I blew it and forgot. This year.. he forgot. But the weather is rainy with thunder with lightning. I dont mind being here and taking it in. Until next year...

What every cafe wishes to be. The cafe is actually an old house located right across from the San Juan Capistrano Train stop. I could spend hours sitting on the porch sipping what is arguably the best chai latte I have ever tasted. No snobs, just great coffee/tea, reasonable prices, friendly staff and priceless ambiance.

_The_ place to go to get coffee while visiting the San Juan Capistrano supercharger.... but expensive and with a limited choice of pastries. Id go there over Starbucks any day, but it does not come close to some of my favorite coffee places in the Bay Area or Seattle.

Small tucked away coffee shop. Serving a variety of coffee, tea and pastry products. The wait was a bit longer than most traditional coffee shops but well worth it as the coffee was fresh and well brewed. Wifi is difficult to connect to outside.

Very cute place right across from the train station. Indoor (small) and outdoor garden seating. Pricey but good baked good options including the amusing bagel bomb which has the flavored cream cheese actually baked into the bagel.

The coffee here is as novel as the coffee house would want you to think. The atmosphere is super nice- it is in a house and all made of wood. The prices are great and it is with the five minute walk from the street

Quaint and cozy, out of the way with a simple coffee menu. Limited food options but you can venture to another local shop or cafe for that. Come here for the coffee. Thats all you really need anyway.

Hot mocha tasted good. Wife asked for skinny cappuccino but was told they ran out of milk after we paid. Daughter ordered an iced mocha but not mixed well (some of the chocolate powder didnt dissolve).

A nice, out of the way, local/tourist coffee shop in an historic location inside a 200 year old home. During the week you can get a coffee or tea and a snack while waiting for the Metrolink.

Cool coffee shop in an old house at the train station in San Juan Capistrano. Great spot to hang out while waiting for the train or just relaxing on the weekend.

Relaxed atmosphere with fabulous coffee - cheaper than Starbucks BUtT better. Stroll in the butterfly garden or listen to sweet sounds of laughter on the patio.

loved this place but its name suites it. It is hidden and hard to find but it is worth it. You have to park in the Park and walk. Very cute sitting though.
