A great gem in the Almaden area of San Jose. You start by ordering at the window and paying. They give you your drinks and any salad bowl, if ordered. You then go sit. A waitress will come and take your ticket and bring your food when ready. The salad bar is good. Nothing fancy but nothing horrible. It gets refreshed often with crisp lettuce and nice additions that are kept cool. The steak is great, especially for the price. They ask how you want it cooked at the time of order and it is cooked very well by their BBQ grill master. You get it with a side of baked potatoes, at least I do, and a really good and large garlic bread. You can get a lot here from chicken and steak to fish and shrimp. Ive been coming here for a while and always get greeted by the friendly staff and always get taken care of. You cant go wrong with this gem!!

Just got back from Dinner. Have not been here for several years, but used to be a "regular" customer. Was highly disappointed. Prices were ok, and food was fine, but the place is filthy....not just old or worn, but actually dirty. All the light fixtures have dust bunnies held on by thick layer of grease, and dead fly is actually stuck to the glass fixture by front window. Fans and signs in windows adjacent to booths are full of the same dust bunnies. The "order taker" reached into a bin of sliced lemons bare handed, to stick on or in my glass after handling pens, paperwork and counter....should be put in with at least tongs. The place is shop worn...needs a makeover, but thats ok....just the dirty conditions was a great disappointment after so many fond memories of the place "

Its not a bad restaurant. The prices are reasonable, the food is decent, the salad bar is okay. But its not a place I would put into my regular rotation. (I have something similar closer to my house.) Its definitely a throw back restaurant, which is fine, just a little worn around the edges. The lettuce was rather anemic, but I am hoping it just needed a refill. We had trouble getting any table service, but the place was a bit busy. Again, not terrible, but not great, either. It was just okay.

The guy who Said the salad bar is comical and that it is straight out of the 70s is a little skunka. Burger pit is way better than outback and longhorn. Check your self first before you start running your mouth Dane Cook!

Not bad, had the Blue Moo. The price is a bit expensive but the patty size was a bit small and would have been better without the relish they put on it but the portobello mushroom was a good addition. Would try again
