Sister restaurant to Waraku in Japantown, which serves a pretty mean bowl of ramen. Men Oh Tokushima is pretty good too, so not sure why it only has 3 stars. I got the Tokushima special and added the slow boiled egg. I can honestly say that it was the best ramen egg Ive ever had. The raw egg is unnecessary so Id suggest that you sub it for the slow boiled egg. The Tokushima special is very bold in flavor and texture. Since its boiled for 16 hours, its a pretty heavy pork bone broth. I prefer that since most tonkotsu ramen broths elsewhere are too light. I also like that theres pork belly in addition to chashu. You can also add ground pork as well. Pork on pork on pork on pork... perfection.

As a ramen enthusiast, I was really excited when Men Oh opened in San Francisco. Read a lot about it on various local presses before I got to try their ramen. The broth was creamy and flavorful, on the thicker and oily side (can see a layer of oil on top of the ramen). The noodles had a good chewy texture, the soft boiled egg was just right. But because the ramen was oily and heavy, I could still taste it the next day as my stomach was having a hard time digesting all the oil. It’s good but probably won’t be able to eat Men Oh too often!

I wanted to eat some ramen which led me to come to Men oh Tokushima. I decided to get the tokushima ramen which was pretty good. I switched the raw egg to a seasoned boiled egg. The egg was super tasty. My broth and ramen were decent for what I wanted. I also ordered extra pork because people told me that you dont get that much when you just order the regular one. My girlfriend didnt like her ramen though because the broth was bland. The spicy tonkotsu broth was tasty and was probably a better choice.

I dont know what tokushima ramen taste like but gave it try. went to Tuesday around 7 pm. just right before it gets crowded. servers are good. attentive. I ordered tokushima ramen with seasoned egg and extra green onion. all except one seems its pork bone broth. not huge selection but you can add topping. its thick, creamy and oily soup as its supposed to. actually taste like Japanese ramen. I pretty much enjoyed my ramen. one thing, their chopsticks. I think they use cheap ones that hard to hold

The fresh grated garlic is a must. Also, there is ghost pepper sauce upon request. Just a few drops will set you right. Also had the karaage app and it was crunchy and came with a nice dipping sauce. The only thing I would do differently next time would be to order the wavy noodles over the straight. Overall, it was a nice spot that for some reason had me feeling like I was in a late night ramen spot in Tokyo.

Like most typical ramen shops, there is usually a wait list to get in. Once I was seated, I ordered the tonkotsu ramen. Having tried the ramen broth, I do not have too much to say about it. I had to add additional condiments (garlic and spices) to make it tasty and to my liking. Simply, tonkotsu ramen at Men Oh was O.K.

Its definitely not the best Ive ever had. With that being said, its still one of the best in the Bay Area. Great tasting broth and good texture to the noodles. Men Oh is up there with Mencho and Slurp in my opinion. Never trust those one star reviews from people with one to three reviews total.

This location is shared with the Shabu Restaurant next door, Shabuway. Both offer very appropriate options for their specialties. Both locals and visiting tourists can enjoy this location. The Ramen portions are large, and the Shabuway options offer lots of small dishes to go with it.

One of my favorite ramen places. Tasty broth and so many toppings. You can get medium or large; the medium is more than enough for me. You can also opt for extra toppings, charsiu - is very flavorful. I like adding corn to mine. Its not a fancy place but a great comfort food place

The ramen is fantastic (one of the best n the city) but they have the front door locked now and you have to enter through the adjacent shabu place walk to the back and through the kitchen to get to sit at Men Oh. Its not only awkward it is also a violation of the Fire Code.

Never had shabu shabu and the workers were kind enough to help. In summary, they bring your selection of broth with meat and vegetables on the side and you put it all in at yojr own pace while the broth is boiling over a cook top. Definitely recommend!

The tokushima ramen was very good; I got no frills other than the seasoned egg and ordered it spicy and quaffed my broth to the extent my tongue may or may not have skirted the bowl several times.

Good ramen. The broth is not my preference but its not bad. Noodles and egg were great. Meat quality was acceptable. They made a mistake with my order but handled it very courteously.

Unexpectedly delicious ramen in an unpretentious setting. The Tokushima ramen, with two types of delicious pork, is the one to get. Go for the boiled egg - its soft and still runny.

Go here for ramen. You wont be sorry. My bud was in the air force for years and had all the Japanese food he wanted. He said this place made it exactly the way he remembered.

I know ramen is subjective, but I didnt enjoy it. We ordered both their regional specialty and a Tonkatsu broth. We didnt finish either--that never happens at ramen shops.

This is better than most of the other ramen places in the Richmond. The problem is that the wait for your food can get long because they always seem understaffed.

The charsiu is by far the best. So is the boiled egg! I havent tried anything other than their ramen, and recommend them. Also Kaarage is great. Just do it!!

Not a bad neighborhood spot to grab a bowl of ramen. They can have a wait sometimes but that just helps build up your appetite! ;)

Great tokushima and tonkotsu ramen. Broth for both is excellent. They also serve pasturized raw eggs.
