I don’t expect you to be perfect - But at least give your customer something. I went with 4 of my friends during outside lands to this place and I will never go back again. The place has decent tasting food but the service was horrible. Its not as if the waitresses were just bad they just ignored you totally. We got there and ordered some items after sitting at the bar near the kitchen for about 15 mins. It took another 20 mins to get our drink. They came back and told me they were out of the items I ordered twice, only for me to receive the first item I ordered from one of the cooks which they said they didnt have which makes no sense to me at all (disconnect between cooks and waitresses?). We then waited an "hour and a half" for the food to arrive. They never once bothered to ask us that entire time if we wanted refills on our drinks. One of the guys in our group ordered a SOUP and never got it. Another member ordered chips and salsa and never got it. And we had three waitresses try to come up to us as we were trying to get our check to leave and give us someone elses food. The place "was" busy but the amount of waitresses should of been sufficient from service Ive received at other bars. They seemed to no know what was going on or care at all about the orders they placed to the cooks or anything after that initial order taking. This place may be good for a night out for drinks (BIG MAYBE) or if the place is not busy at all, but I strongly urge anyone to stay away from this place for food unless you got an entire day to waste. Whether its the cooks or the waitresses or the disconnect between them I dont know, but someone dropped the ball big time...

Martin Macks is a lively Irish pub on Haight with good food and a fun atmosphere. They do a brunch which is actually pretty good and have all the requisite brunch drink requirements. At night, the bar usually have a lively crowd and fun feel. The front area is fairly large and there is more seating in the back and up the stairs. Its really a good sized place and great for larger groups. I used to do a recess league and we brought a huge group in every Wednesday night and it was no problem. They have good drink prices as well.

Ive recently discovered HQ Bar & Restaurant on Haight St, supports technology, and software that is meant to monitor cellphone and laptop activity, and even worse, and the information is being gathered and collected by Facebook and the staff and heads of HQ are more than aware this is going on . You may or may not like hearing about this but just remember Im only promoting the truth.

In the heart of the Haight, this place used to be called "Martin Macks." Nothing has changed on the inside - same food, beer, drinks. Like the food, and have been there many times, by myself and with people. Not a dive like a few of the other bars. Clean bathrooms. Lots of TVs, so dont go there during major soccer or American football unless you want that vibe.

Went on a friday afternoon. Few stools occupied, music playing, otherwise quiet and comfortable. No Iced tea for beverage, menu short but offered various irish food favorites, the Mack burger and spinach salad were awesome. The best burger Ive ever had, truthfully. Bacon jam and condiments were perfect. Very satisfying experience :) Will def go back.

I had never been to Martin Macks before a few weeks ago but I was happy to find that the old owner of Durty Nellys took over the place! It is a huge space with friendly bartenders and an awesome owner. It was great to see some friendly Irish faces and the drinks were top notch. The neighborhood can get a little rowdy but thats the Haight for ya!

Decent food, decent price, located right off of Haight. Surprisingly I went in after work and it was pretty empty. Super friendly staff, I got a "cottage pie" it was basically a Shepard pie, tasted great, and came with a side salad. As someone mentioned there was no ice tea. Does have a full bar.

Ok. Two stars. The wings were great. The Deschutes IPA is always good. But the service? It was shite. We waited 40+ minutes for our order of a pitcher and a pint of Guinness. The wings showed up before the beer (the wings took at least 20 mins) even though we ordered the beer first.

I come to this bar all the time and spend plenty of money here. The last time I was there I left my guitar and found out from some other nice patron that they threw it on the curb! What kind of bar management is that? Id like to at least hear about some corrective action before I

An excellent place to catch a game and have a drink. The bartenders are awesome and always friendly, especially Saul (the bar back!) Its located right in the middle of the Haight, so expect your typical "Haight-Ashbury" atmosphere.

Forget the previous reviews. Martin Macks reopened fall of 2009 with a whole new look, a whole new smell, and a whole new menu! This is definitely a place worth checking out now either to have a drink or to come in for a meal!

Great fries, excellent Bloody Mary mix. Bartender was cool about us watching the Warriors game here without ordering full meals and was fairly attentive without being overly helpful or rushing us through the joint.

Good sports bar. Pretty low key and laid back. Good place to grab a casual drink and catch up with friends. Went later on a Friday night and we were one of the only groups there

Large sports bar and restaurant hybrid. There is a pool table and lounge in back and the food is pretty good too. I tried the macks burger and enjoyed it very much.

Came here to watch a finals game. Plenty of TVs, so great for sports. However some of the TVs need to have their zoom/aspect ratio adjusted

American food with so many different dishes to choice. Refill soda but not from bottle or can but from draught. A little bit overpriced.

The burger was really good, but you have to order it medium-well to get it medium-rare. Medium still leaves it bloody.

No frills style pub. Great spot to stop for a beer. No dogs allowed inside and no outdoor seating.

Im trans. An employee followed me in and harassed me for using the "incorrect" restroom.
