I give it 3 1/2 stars. We had the lettuce wraps which did taste identical to PF Changs and portion size was decent for an appetizer for 2 people. We got the Thai Dynamite Chicken and the Honey Seared Shrimp. The Thai Dynamite Chicken could have been spicier but had a good green onion & basil flavor. The Honey Seared shrimp was a good choice as well. Portion size on the main dishes was about the same as the appetizer, half the plate was a rice mound and half the plate was the main entree. As mentioned in numerous reviews the atmosphere and decor is nice, the ability to see the kitchen is great. The food is undoubtedly "wokked to order" and arrives hot and fresh. I think if you are comparing it to a restaurant like PFC you are going to be let down, but we came to try it instead of Panda Express -- value-wise it is about the same.

Possibly The WORST Chinese Ever. Honestly, the best thing this place hasare their chocolate chip cookies, which last time I checked are not Chinese. If I could give them 0 stars I would. Their lo mein has absolutely no favor and all the noodles are stuck together in one big starchy blob. Their main dishes are either completely drowned in sauce or barely have any, making them either "swimming in soup" or so dry that you will definitely need a glass of water nearby. This is the 2nd time Ive gone there. The first time was awful, but I thought I would give them another try. Long story short, there will NOT be a 3rd trip. Save yourself the time and money. Pick Up Stix, PF Changs and even Panda Express are all better options.

I hate all paid professional reviewers who practice this fakery by misguiding people. How can an undergraduate write over a 200 reviews. Dont believe it then check out yelp and see how many reviews were written by individuals. I can understand if someone with complaint writing a review like me at 4:13 Am with pain in stomach caused by bad food. Hate this place. Salt hides all bad putrid flesh smell. I should have made a better choice I even read the book "Salt Sugar Fat: How the Food Giants Hooked Us". Shame on my for not connecting the dots and still going for this food. I should have known better.

So I kinda love this place. Customer service and quality has been going down lately however they are still providing chicken lettuce wraps for those that dont want to deal with heading to P.F. Changs and some of the best chicken pad Thai in San Diego. I have learned the best experience is just ordering to go and picking up. Also join their membership program. They offer quarterly buy one get one free coupons that feed the addiction!

We LOVE Pei Wei. Family friendly (stickers, chopsticks for the kids). The atmosphere is loud enough where you dont mind your kids being kids. The food is just as good as PF Changs without the sit-down slow service hassle. Make sure to sign up for their rewards program. You get a freebies for you birthday and for earning points which is easy to do. We have a free entre right now waiting for us!

The food is kinda hit or miss. I like it but I definitely dont love it. The fried rice is meh. The orange peel chicken is TERRIBLE. The honey seared chicken is pretty good. The atmostphere there is awkward. You give them your order at a desk then put up a number at your table that is really crammed. So its just uncomfortable.

Every time I call to place an order no one picks up, and now you have to stand in the dine in line to order for take out. They got the second star because I enjoy the food. Whats the point of take out if no one is answering the phone. This is the 5th time this has happened to me. I guess I get the bad luck

Im biased because Ive always loved Pei Wei. Food and service here is pretty good. I especially love it here because there is a freestyle coke machine. Outdoor seating (though it feels disconnected from the rest of the restaurant). Overall good experience.

Tasted fresh each time Ive visited. I love that they have convenient take out boxes by the beverage area so you can doggy bag your own stuff how you like it. Its kind of cramped so forget about finding a seat during peak hours.
