Changed their menu and didnt update their website, so I ordered a combination plate #4 (taco, enchilada, and tostada) by phone from their online menu. After getting it home, discovered it was 2 flautas instead. When I called back I was informed that what I wanted was a #1 . I advised the girl who took the order that the website was wrong and also that the flautas were burnt anyway. We brought it back only to discover that the #1 had taquitos instead of a taco and no tostada. Only 2 items. Their entire menu has changed and the employees are not knowledgeable about what is offered. On top of this there is a burnt taste to their sauces and their tortillas are over fried. Their Diablo salsa which is supposed to be hot is NOT and burnt. Their so-called Habenero salsa is sweet and also NOT hot. The beef in my beef taco had some very fatty hard to chew pieces as well...very poor quality. Almost scrap meat. The employees seem unconcerned about the misinformation both on their website and on the phone. No apologies for anything. Will never go back which is unfortunate because their food and salsas used to be quite good. No more.

The fun starts after hours. Young crowds of stumbling men and women come in hoping to get their hands on greasy Mexican food. The starchier, the better. Corn tortillas, flour tortillas, fries… you name it. Hispanic women tend the cash register, trying to decipher orders while handing out the bathroom key. The line starts to grow longer with the closure of every neighboring bar. I recall being here and seeing old classmates and making friends with a New Yorker who dropped his entire taco on himself. Its a great place to meet strangers and make plans you dont actually intend on following through. The food was good. The tacos are huge, but I liked the carne asada fries better. Skip the soda, and just ask for a cup of water. Theres a huge jug of water for all to use. Remember to hydrate yourself! Your brain needs it.

I am reviewing the La Fuente on Aero Drive in Serra Mesa! I cant find it on google for some reason but it is apparently a chain and I have to say.. I have a new favorite mexican food joint! I had the carne asada a la diabla which is supposed to consist of beef covered in mole sauce, rice, and cheese. However, my burrito did not have rice which I didnt mind because the tortilla has enough carbs. It was so freaking delicious and was my first time having mole sauce in a burrito. I was also impressed by the salsa bar because they have habanero sauce which means they mean business when it comes to kicking up the spice level! In addition, they have many different hot sauces when most places only have 2 or 3. Definitely will come back. Antonio is the cook and he was really friendly too.

I have been coming here for several years and finally got so fed up this last time I had to put it into writing. This taco shop can not get anything right. After having several messed up orders this last time I finally called to get a refund. When promised the refund, in the form or more food, it was made so difficult that I almost didnt even want it. To prove my point I went through with there ludacris request. When arriving the rude cashier demanded the food in order to receive the refund, I did not bring it as when I called the night before I was not asked too. So my partner returned with the food ans we got a so so mexican meal 12 hours after we wanted it. No Bueno. Stay away from this place so it will go away

Dont listen to any of those fools, seriously. Front or not, this place is awesome. Ive only had excellent experiences, the staff is super accommodating and the food is bomb. Textbook San Diego burrito. That said, I dont live in SD anymore and maybe get it once a year, so, I dunno, maybe Im catching them on good days but whatever. My only complaint is I liked how the place looked more before they remodeled, but thats not really their fault. You gotta do what you gotta do to stay in business in an area thats getting more yuppified every second. I love La Fuente.

I ordered chips and guacamole and they were to busy not paying attention give the wrong order. They had some loud mouth ratchet reciting everything and she didnt even work there. I only got a bag of chips and nothing else. I will definitely not be coming back here.i only gave 2 stars because at least they serve alcohol

I wont eat at any Mexican place that isnt at least a little bit filthy, and this joint fits the bill! Doesnt hurt that the food is good and the portions are generous for the money. Not for those looking for a fancy meal, I still find myself eating here regularly. Try the Pollo Asado burrito, or the Carne Asada Fries.

With Subpar food especially for a San Diego Taco Stand. They try to make their money, running a organized crime ring, partnering with the just as corrupt Millenium tow company to unnecessarily tow vehicles from their unmarked lot. Take your patronage to a business that makes money by selling quality food.

If they get your order right youre going to have a good time. If not... Oh well. It is mostly the same ingredients across the board anyway right? The tortillas are awesome. I try to stick to something simple like a BCR. This is an okay shop that is a favorite of my friends due to location.

We just happened to stumble upon this place and I grabbed the carne asada burrito and taquito special for $6.99. It was pretty damn good. I even took some home! Not sure about parking, but they do have a drive thru and they serve beer....a.k.a. cerveza.

Place is lit, but after the clubs get out all the ratchet people come in here and there is always fights when all the homely queens no one took home get together to vent their frustration out on each other. Be warned!!

I usually go in the morning just when theyre opening. The girl there is cool and friendly. I get my usual carne asada torta con juevo. I asked them to create that for me and they did!

Frankly, at times this place dazzles, sometimes it disappoints beyond belief. Dreadfully poor consistency. As a previously regular customer, Ive decided its not worth the gamble.

Your typical socal taco shop. The food is good; they get my drive through orders wrong quite often however. Check my other reviews for nearby alternatives. DO NOT TAKE CREDIT

Food is over priced. The wait in the drive thru is ridiculous. Only reason we come here is for the Carne asada fries. Theyre extra crispy and not soggy like other places.

i agree with that dude, they get kudos for tasty food, but the orders are ALWAYS wrong. they would probably make a lot more money if they got the orders right.
