Does take credit cards, for a small fee. Place has a variety of delicious Fried Chicken and sides. My favorite is the jumbo wings... they are jumbo, and come in various styles such as bbq, spicy wet, and spicy dry. Spicy dry is worth trying... havent seen much like it locally. Crunch and dry spiced have a world of flavor. Chicken Strips and Cornbread are great as well. Its not a terribly dangerous area, just go and pick some up!

OMG this chicken is better than Popeyes & Louisiana Chicken put together. We def need a location in Las Vegas. We waited less than 20 mins and the wait was worth it. Catfish, coleslaw, okra, sweet potatoes fries LUV IT!!! This my last day in San Diego and I will be going back to try the Gizzards this time. Louisiana Chicken gave us frozen coleslaw REALLY!!! Please teach them Crispy how to make coleslaw!!!!

Hands down BEST FRIED CHICKEN in San Diego, possibly top 10 on the planet. Compares to Guss in TN and Strouds in KC. Chicken was moist with a very light batter. Wait time wasnt bad at all 5-10 minutes. You can order them hot or regular. Hot just has an outside spice that dissipates quickly as the flavor melts into the chicken. Cant wait to go back and bring some home.

Ive been here several times and they have the best fried chicken Ive had in my life. Its always hot and fresh because they cook it when you order it. The chicken itself is very moist and not overpowered by cooking oil. Taste is amazing. Combine all of these with some of the cheapest prices Ive ever come across and you know youve stumbled across something special.

They make not just good food their but great food their. It is fresh made to order and you can tell they put their heart and soul into the food they make for their customers. I love places like this that are like little Mom and Pop shops because they are almost always better than franchise restaurants. Bravo Zulu to them for great quality good and service.

Nothing soul food about this joint. I think everything is frozen food prepared by Sysco, including the chicken. I will not be making the drive again. Make sure to bring cash, they dont take cards nor do have ATM on site. To end the review on a high note.... chicken is crispy and the fries were seasoned well, catfish was not half bad.

Food took over 40 minutes to make, and there was almost nobody else in there. The fries were good but the chicken strips were extremely soggy. Had high expectations from other reviews, and was surprised to find that a place that specializes in making chicken to be incapable of making chicken... Will not be returning.

The gizzards are perfect fried catfish nuggets excellen . Cole slaw heck everything was to die for everything thing they fry is all done in a different batter also fried in separate oils. So delicious the only thing terrible were the onion rings nothing to write home about! Ill be going back!

When I want chicken....I come here! Chicken is cooked fresh to order. Cornbread is delicious and prices are great. Good variety of food along with fried fish and shrimp! Yum. Be prepared to wait. It takes about 20 mins to get your food...well worth the wait! And recommend getting it to go!

Lots of flavor and very crispy. Best chicken tenders in the city. The appearance and cleaness of the place might be concerning but the kitchen seems fine. Place has an A rating from the dept of environment and health. If you like chicken I cant imagine you not liking this place.

Best fried chicken in San Diego.... I hate to say it because its already too busy. You can eat there but its spartan. You can get it to go, but the crispy skin starts losing its God given texture the longer it sits. Best bet is to grab and eat within 5 minutes.

The catfish was good and you get a lot for your money hot sauce was on point as well. The chicken had no flavor though I wouldnt recommend it but you do get alot for your money. And they only except cash just a heads up ATM inside but I dont know how much they charge

This place is nasty, Im sorry!! I gave them a 3 for their customer service which was great. The fish is not real idk why they have these good reviews!! All I can say is people dont know good food!! Swatting flies the whole time and the gizzards was ok!! Never again

The fish, shrimp, and chicken are among the best in all of San Diego. The biscuits are tasty, man they would be great with some good gravy! The potato salad is decent. Thecoleslaw is really good. I did not care for the fried okra, it was a 2 on a scale of 5.

The owner Henry has a great attitude and is always very inviting. They offer fried chicken, fried fish, oysters, shrimps and combinations. Today I ordered hot wings all flat with dry spicy rub and 2 red snappers add a grape Sunkist to make it a classic lunch

The ladies were very courteous and were very patient and explaining everything despite having a mini rush hour. Ive asked a lot of customers on site and they all say they have the best chicken that its worth the cost and theyre not stingy.

The fried chicken and shrimp are wonderful. The restaurant is not much to look at. But I have eaten at the restaurant many times. Its an interesting place just to watch the customers. The restaurant staff is friendly and very attentive.

Best Chicken! They are quite crispy! The hot sauce they give you is super good too. Make sure you call ahead of time so your food will be there right when you come in. The people who run this place are really friendly.

I got the #1 Daily special...comes with 3 chicken strips, 3 fried shrimp and two sides of your choosing which range from fries to okra, etc. Definitely really great tasting chicken and food. Very inexpensive as well.

Friendly ppl and clean in seating area. I dont like colossal size chicken wings, plus it didnt have any flavor and wasnt fried long enough. Only ate 2 pieces and the rest went into garbage. No second chances.

The best chicken in San Diego other then the salt and peppers wings at Mandarin Garden in National City. I only had one experience where their chicken was not perfect, but it was still down right fantastic!

Wow the fish was awesome. I am from the Los Angeles area and I know good fish, this place reminds me of home. I will definitely be going back. Red Snapper Filet, Hush Puppies, and Potato Salad A+++++
