Absolute BEST food in Sacramento! Theyre open Mon-Fri, 6:30am-2:30pm and do more business than most places open 8 days a week!.. Not to say its too crowded; the atmosphere is perfect for a quiet breakfast or a relaxing lunch out on the patio. I am honestly here 2-3-4 times a week, and have never seen received anything but perfection from Dave and Rose (proprietors)... She makes the best chocolate chip cookies in the world! Best food, best service, and a great location... what more could you ask for?

THEE BEST chile verde in nor cal!!! finally, i found a SUPERB chile verde--have been searching the past 8-9 years since i moved to nor cal. and, they made the chile burrito the way i wanted it! a few other places in sac refused to make a chile verde combo burrito--chile verde, beans, and cheese--thats all i want in my chile verde combo burrito and i got absolutely no grief!! plus, my wife LUVED the polenta breakfast! we already have plans for friday, nov 2. great place and awesome service!!!

I make it a practice to eat at Nopalitos at least once a week, and more often if I can make it. The ambiance is delightful, warm and inviting. Both customers and staff are friendly and pleasant. The cafe, although, small is bright, cheerful, and very clean. Whether breakfast or lunch, I am always satisfied with the quality of the food and the aesthetics of the presentation. In short, this is my favorite place to dine, and I recommend it highly to anyone who is looking for that essential cafe.

This is, by far, my favorite lunch spot in Sac. All of the ingredients are always fresh and the homemade salsa compliment any meal. Although I have favorite items, I have literally ordered everything on the menu over the years and loved them all (breakfast and lunch). This mom-pop restaurant is one of those that I always think of when I am looking to catch a bite on the run... too bad they are not open for dinner, because I might eat there 3 times in one day!!! :-(

Awesome family owned, neighborhood spot. Only open for breakfast and lunch on weekdays, but theyve been around for decades, so they must be doing something right. Order at the counter. CASH ONLY. Dont be scared if theres a line, it never takes more than 15 minutes to order and get your food. Get something that comes with sauce, like the smothered burrito or huevos rancheros (ask for both sauces). Other highlights are the tamale bowl and pancakes.

Possibly one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. Little place, fast, friendly service, AMAZING food. I had scrambled eggs nopales and added the green chili sauce, potatoes were perfectly cooked. The nopalitos omlette was equally as delicious. Kids had pancakes and bacon. Even they commented on the high quality of everything. This breakfast gem will be a reason to come back to Sacramento!

Been here twice, was introduced to this place by a friend and whoa what a place. Love having breakfast meals early lunch times. The lady at the front counter welcomes you with a smile and is funny with a bit of sarcasm. Service is nice and there is a lot of food for the price. However, they only accept cash or check which maybe an inconvenience at times but all worth it at the end.

I love the food here. Theyre pretty much only open for lunch and sometimes can have spontaneous hours, but the food is excellent for the price. I always get the veggie burrito. Lots of fresh veggies and good stuff. If you find yourself in East Sac for lunch, theres really no better place for your money.

Always delicious. Our favorite restaurant. We are working our way through the breakfast and lunch menus and everything is fresh and scrumptious. Fair prices, bring cash, Monday through Friday only, closes at 2:30pm. Line out the door? Stay; it is worth the wait.

No home made tortillas is an automatic deduction come on you have a restaurant to cook any food and what happened to being a Mexican restaurant youre serving cupcakes and brownies and muffins instead of pan dulce youre better off ordering food at Taco Bell

Great little spot, quaint. Had delicious nopales (cactus, as they let are named for) scrambled egg dish with chorizo. Very flavorful dish, not as large as your usual diner portions but I was satisfied. Their brewed coffee was excellent. Ill be back.

Wow! You gotta catch them during a weekday (currently 6:30-2:30 only) and we had lunch- loved the Tamale Bowl. I hear the breakfasts are the best, but lunch was solid- it was like eating home made food!
