My family decided to eat at Fahrenheit 250 for my 48th birthday. This was the first time at this restaurant but the reviews seemed positive. I as the "birthday boy" tried to call the restaurant 1 week before our visit and could not get anyone to answer the phone. Their web page suggests reservations might be needed after 7 pm but because I could not get anyone to answer their phone we decided to eat earlier. When we arrived we were greeted with a smile and welcome to our restaurant. Our server seated us and asked if we ever have been to Fahrenheit 250. She then started to explain about their barbeque techniques and different kinds of sauces which made us feel welcome. Our party ordered our drinks and food choices. When the food came we had to request silverware and napkins. Our food was served on small metal cooking platters. We got exactly what we asked for. I asked the server for some bread and she brought 4 slices of white bread, NO butter! Just white dry bread. We all finished our first round of drinks and our glasses ( mason jars ) remained empty until I waved our server down who was chatting it up with the rest of the staff. There was only roughly 4 couples in the entire restaurant. My wife asked for some more coke/Pepsi. Our server took her glass and filled the glass up and then started to chat it up with the other staff again while holding my wifes full glass. Instead of bring to her first. My wife jumped up went across the restaurant and grabbed her drink from the servers hand. We received only 1 refill. Our meat choices was brisket, pulled pork and Louisiana style ribs. it was OK but very salty. The chicken was the best. It was smoky and tasty but a bit dry. I sampled the various types of homemade sauces. The BBQ sauces had a very strong taste of vinegar and the mustard based sauce was good. We all tried the green beans with garlic and brisket beans. The green beans had a garlic and a buttery taste. The brisket bean side had a strong taste of bourbon or whiskey. Over all the meat was DRY and Salty and so was the Service. Friendly like a programmed robot but the customer service needs to be improved. My opinion as the birthday boy I would give this restaurant the RUBBER CHICKEN AWARD. I felt like the staff just bought the place and was trying hard but just didnt have the routines down yet and the customer service needs reprogramming....... C -

Last week I took my brother, who lives in San Jose, to Fahrenheit 250 for an early dinner. Just about 5PM, we found the place almost empty and the friendly waiter let us have our pick of tables. We settled in a large booth and looked forward to a tasty barbeque dinner. Ordering the crawfish fritters as an appetizer, we found them to be good. Good stopped there. My brother ordered a slab of pork ribs, potato salad, and fries. I ordered the tri-tip with green beans and corn. My brother complained to me that the ribs were tough, and he couldnt even eat the potato salad because it was "so bad". My tri tip was so dried out that the edges of the meat actually looked like jerky, and almost briny with salt. The green beans were under cooked (I like al dente, this was practically raw) with no flavor. The roasted corn was okay. We did get free refills of the sweet ice tea which was refreshing and nice. When I complained about the tri tip, the waiter gave me some freshly carved meat to take home. Once outside, I just threw it in a nearby trash can as by that time the taste in my mouth was, literally, so bad from the whole experience that I didnt even want it. For all of this, we had the privilege of paying $75 including tax and tip. The worse thing was I had to listen to my brother go on and on about how hed pick the restaurant next time.

Ultra-fast service and great food! If youre looking for BBQ be sure to check out F250 on Folsom Boulevard. While they do offer non-BBQ items, youre really going to want to try the baby-back ribs, pulled pork, brisket, and tri-tip (they also have BBQ chicken but thats the one thing I havent tried yet). There are four primary sauces available on every table: KY BBQ, KY Mustard, Carolina BBQ, and a spicy version of the KY BBQ (which is indeed spicy). If youre looking for a real adventure, mix the KY BBQ and Mustard on your plate and dip your tri-tip in it. YUM. Service is friendly and SUPER-fast. The last time we were there the food was out less than 5 minutes after we ordered it. Pair it with one of the two ciders on-tap and youve got a meal. They offer catering size portions for families as well, and they have both indoor and outdoor seating. Indoor seating accommodates very large parties, and the outdoor seating is picnic table style. Ample parking in their dedicated lot - and youll also get a view of the BBQ pit if you like. Enjoy!

My husband and I went there on Saturday around 4pm. The place was pretty nice but empty. Its got lots of potential because the atmosphere is good. We ordered a platter and got ribs, tri tip, chicken, brisket, a small bowl of beans and some fries. At first we waited awhile. It took about I want to say 20 minutes at least for our food. When we got it it looked dead just dull to look at. A little garnish might make the food easy on the eyes. So we gave it a chance. The chicken was good, the ribs were tuff,, the beans slightly undercooked and the brisket (even though we asked the waitress where it was) looked exactly like the tri tip. There was no difference in the meat. Anyway, nothing looked fresh where you would want to come back. Sixty dollars later and literally a stomach ache and gas filled evening.... I would not return for a second visit. Such a shame there seems to be no pride in the food. It must have been the day befores meat that was left over. The french fries were the only item I would reorder.

I just went there today 2/15/2015. The restraunt was half empty yet it took maybe five minutes for anyone to notice customers waiting. We got seated and 15 minutes later some one finally came over with some water. We ordered some drinks..... they never came while we were there. I dont understand the problem, the restraunt was half empty yet we couldnt get service to save our life. The table next to us had to people and their waiter came by a couple of times but we must have been invisible. Our crippling super power. What we saw of the restraunt we were very interested in ordering food..... The food we saw on the table next to us looked great.... We can comment on the food other than that. We finally gave up and left. I guess the 5 minute wait to be seated in a half empty restraunt should have been an omen. On our way out we got the "oh sorry" . They obviously didnt need or want our business and well be happy to help them out with that.

I was invited by a friend and business partner at Fahrenheit 250, and order a 2-meat dish, with pulled pork and chicken. The pulled pork was really good, with a nice sauce and a nice smoky flavor (but not too much). The chicken was good, slightly dry. The cole slaw was acceptable and the chili really yummy. The service was alright, our waitress needed a bit of time to thaw. When she became smiling, it was just better. Refills were prompt, and the meat didnt take much time to come before us. The portions were really BIG. I had in mind a BBQ in Junction, TX where portions are kind of small (in TX, where everything should be BIG). So when they brought my plate, it was a very pleasant surprise. The restaurant is clean, nicely decorated, with lots of wood and a rustic feel. The floor is concrete, and there is lots of room. Prices are reasonable at $19 for the 2-meat plate. Overall, a good place to eat at, and a well-deserved 4-star rating.
