Ive been to this place more than a few times, Great Cheap Food, Great service from the owners wife and staff..but today on a slow Wednesday afternoon I walk in around 2:25pm the place was dead.. no other employee nor a customer in sight.. food all put away and everything, I walked in and only saw the owner you know him if you saw him.. he seems like a nice guy.. but no customer service at all where should I start?? 1) He made no eye contact, and I had to say hello 1st, then I noticed no food was out! I asked are you still serving food he said YES I have food what do you want? 2) I asked for Cabbage Curry Stew w/rice he said I only have half a portion its not enough, then I said Ill have Chicken Curry w/rice he said ok but im out of salad so I said may I have and extra scoop of rice then?? he replied with no its a combo special i cant do that, I was thinking to myself Sir you have completed my 1st request due to lack of food amount then you cant even give an extra scoop of rice when its the end of the day no other customers around and your closing the store earlier than NORMAL just because its slow for business, which I understand that part but come on guy. 3) I pay for my food he hands me $12 back and starts to count out change.. then he says how much did I give you back??? I answered 12 he was like ok and gave me change. And F.Y.I. the combo comes with a fountain drink, and each of the last times Ive been in here each soda keeps being out of order and now there is no fountain sodas at all they are all broken or down with no syrup.. Ive never experienced some thing like this here before.. but anyhoo my point is I had to ask for a drink but he didnt give me a fountain drink he said go get water..I was like what?? NO SODA?? he said no im sorry I said how about a discounted meal and he still said NO!!! Sheesh this guy was brutal!! I would consider going back only if I didnt have to deal with JERKY McJERK Face!! I have MUCH more to say but i will just keep it to myself for now at least!!!

The name "Cafe Connection" doesnt let in on the wonderful cuisine that is served up here. Located across from the Capitol along the same row of shops as Sees Candies, seating is plentiful and comfy and the first thing youll notice is the smell of Carribean cooking. They do have traditional sandwich fare, but why settle for a boring sandwich when you can get jerk chicken with beans & rice, jerk burgers, curry chicken and the like? I got their daily lunch special -- its not written up on the sandwich menu. Look for the small whiteboard. With a drink, it came to $8.14 with tax. I got the jerk chicken plate: spicy tender chicken over beans and rice with a side salad. Wow. My friend got the jerk burger. And that first bite is hot! Spicy hot! But then your mouth succumbs to the heat and all you want to do is eat more. Service is genuine and friendly. The owner passed out samples of their banana fritters - three for $4.50. If I hadnt gained weight and am trying to whittle down my bondakadonk butt, I would have inhaled a plate of these. Free WiFi, which is a bonus. Ask for the password, youll crack up when you hear it!

The food is incredible and the service is just as awesome. If you like Caribbean food this is a must try. The owners are such sweet people and they also offer catering for private parties. The place is clean and festive. Theres also live music sometimes.
