I am from Texas, so I know what excellent BB-Q should tast like, this was not it. It is average for what you would expect in CA. When you walk in, it doesnt fell like a BB-Q place, it feels more like you are at a juice bar in Hollywood. The music that was playing was all over the place, it went from oldies to U2. The tables could have used a red and white checkered table cloth, a staple in most BB-Q places. At least the tables should have looked wood, that would have helped. It just felt like a place that you shouldnt lick your fingers when you were done eating, you should just wipe you hand with the napkin and then go to the restroom and wash them. As far as the food the pulled pork was good, I dont have anything bad to say about it. The brisket tasted fine, although I would have prefered thinnly cut slices instead of the big chunks that they came in. In a BB-Q place if it comes on a bone, it should fall off the bone. With that said the ribs and chicken did not fall off the bone. You should not have to fight with the rib to get the meat off it. And the chicken should have been just as easy. I dont know if they under cooked it, but I think it could have used alittle more time in the smoke. It looked cooked. The tast was ok, nothing to get excited about. The cornbread was ok, although I would not recomend using the butter they give you for it. It tasts like a mixture of butter and cinnimon. The baked beans were fine, and the corn on the cob was fine too. You cant really mess up corn on the cob. The service was good and fast, we never felt neglected. I think it is overpriced for what you get, but i guess people are willing to pay. Remember if it dont fall off the bone, then leave it alone.

I have gone to this place several times over the past 3 years and with each visit the quality as well as the portions has only gotten worse. Over that time I have ordered the pulled pork, brisket, ribs, sausage and sampler platter. I will say that their beer selection is very good though. I most recently ordered the BBQ sampler platter ($22+). Small portions not worth the price. The ribs were very dry, not sure how they are storing them after theyre done. If you need a BBQ fix this will do but it is pretty mediocre especially for the price. My suggestion is drive 5-10 mins away to Moreno Valley where there are a couple other BBQ spots whose quality is way better than this place. I dont understand how people think this place is so good just because they smoke their meat.

My girlfriend and I love this place. They let us eat with our dog on the outside patio, and the owner is really nice and always brings him two big pieces of bacon. Its a little pricey, maybe 15-20 bucks for a large entree and a beer, but the couple extra bucks is worth the quality. The cornbread is good when hot and fresh, sometimes you might get some old ones though. The trip-tip is good, but avoid the tri-tip sandwich... Its just two pieces of plain bread filled with trip-tip. The Tri-tip salad is real good though! Service is great. The waitresses are always really nice and prompt with everything!

I dont like to write negative reviews for restaurants. Any place can have an off day. But Ive been here twice now and its just not good. Dry pork ribs, which is almost unfathomable; really, really dry chicken; and a Louisiana sausage that was bland. Dry potato salad. The fries were good though. For the price, thats not forgivable. But hey, the place gets an overall 4.5 stars from other customers so maybe dry barbecue is popular. And I havent eaten everything on the menu either. And being that the place is highly rated by others, you should try it for yourself. For me though, never again.

Great Ribs (I travel all over the US) and they are great. I thought that I lost my card that night, talked to the owner the next day and she checked with the property security, other businesses etc to find my card. (It went between my seat in the car, DUH). But she called me back and apologized for not finding it. Nice lady. Saw one review from somebody with an attitude from mommy. No, this place is great!!!!

My husband and I were excited when a BBQ place opened near our apartment. We are both originally from Missouri and grew up on Kansas City BBQ. It turns out that the owners lived in MO for awhile and modeled the food after the BBQ traditions in the Midwest. The food was excellent, and we were happy that they had "Hillbilly Beans"!

I guess a lot has changed since 2011. My brisket and tritip tasted like stew meat. I kid you not, the meat texture was like it was boiled, not smoked. I was thoroughly disappointed. The ribs were mediocre at best. If you want REAL BBQ go grab some Serious Texas BBQ...google it...embrace it...love it.

Thought we had founded a BBQ place that we could go to since we moved from LA but boy was I wrong, we asked for sliced beef and they gave us pulled pork, the chicken was dried out the ribs was dry, the potato salad was the same as the cheeses potatoes. This was the worst as bad as Hoggs is Mo Val.

Fantastic owner-oriented environment. Try them around lunch 12-1pm - owner walks around and listens to his patrons. Great place to learn about and understand BBQ from a perspective that isn't Kansas City (like they have it all figured out). Great service from Selena and staff!

I dig this place. Sweet staff and knowledgeable about gluten-free options ( all bbq sauces seem to be ok for those with intolerance). Brisket and the cheesy potatoes are yum. Never a wait/ speedy service for sit-down or take-out. Its a go-to if in the Canyon Crest Towne Centre.

Pretty good BBQ. You get a lot of food for the price. The atmosphere wasnt what I expected, everything is out in the open. Its seat yourself. Food was good, the Cheesy Potatoes was my favorite, but I was expecting better based on the reviews.

Not impressed. We had the sampler platter with ribs, tri tip, and brisket. Meat was very small portions, tuff, dried out. Cheesy potatoes are dry, not very cheesy. Beans had tuff skins, not very flavorful. Gave it a try not coming back.

In a word... AWESOME! All of the food is fantastic. Hot link platter with cheesy potatoes is a favorite as is the tri-tip salad. Desserts are to die for, dont pass up on the cobbler (peach or berry, theyre both great!).

This is one of my favorite places for both lunch and dinner as well as weekend breakfast. Not only is the food fabulous and fresh but also the owner and staff are so pleasant and seem happy to be serving you.
