This is not the typical over-priced and over-stuffy French restaurant. It has a fresh neuvo atmosphere with all of the upscale dishes expected from a great French restaurant. Escarcot (the best we ever had), sweet breads, rack of lamb that is a must eat, duck breast that was amazing, and lots more made to order, and worth the extra time and attention. My wife and I have eatten at many French restaurants in France and across the USA from New York to Honolulu, and we both agree this was the best. Make reservations, because they have limited seating, but not arranged like sardines. The waiters are personable, and never pushy or pretentious. Oh, and the prices are realistic! A French restaurant with great food without the outrageous attitudes and prices. Really!

My wife, son and daughter-in-law had the great fortune to be able to book two rooms in this exquisite ryokan for one evening on October 20. There are only 5 rooms so luck and timing was certainly in our favor. The property is operated by the elegant and hospitable Tomoko Okuda, who is the 7th generation in a line of exclusively female ryokan owners in historic Kyoto. Every detail was attended to, from being initially greeted in the street upon arrival to a welcoming tea and sweets prior to dinner.

Excellent French restaurant! Glad we have a place like this in Riverside. Amazing service, great food, free parking on weekends right across the street. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly. Dessert sampler was impressive. The place is cozy, a bit small but well decorated. Expect to spend a couple of hours here, as it has a slower paced atmosphere than many American restaurants. Also a bit pricey, but I would expect that from a top notch French restaurant. Highly recommend.

I wanted to try this restaurant and when a friend asked to meet for dinner. I asked and she was cool with meet here. It was clean, the service was genuine. The only concern I had was an exposed dessert was brought to the table which would go to multiple tables that concerned me about pathogens. Both of us ate for $128.00 total (that includes tip). Two drinks, appetizer, and two meals... I would defiantly recommend this place and go again.

This is a very nice French restaurant. We started with the carrot soup and escargot. Both were very good. My rare filet was over done. I sent it back a a new one arrived quickly and perfectly rare (without any question or attitude). The chicken coq au vin was good, but could have had more sauce. The wines are a great value. We got there early and the place filled quickly. The dining room can get a little noisy. The service was excellent.

After 30 plus years (several locations) Marios Place continues to be our go to place for special dinners. We have engaged their semi private alcove for 20 people several times. They never disappoint . The food is great, especially the veal chop and the linguini with checca. I hope they bring back the celery root pure side dish as well

Marios always has an excellent selection of wine and a wonderful atmosphere. This evening did not disappoint. While I much prefer our usual night at Marios where we are able to pick from their astounding menu items, and sometimes even make a special request, tonights prefix menu was still a wonderful sampling of what they offer.

Made a reservation request on-line via website. Got no response so I called to confirm and was told they do not check their website and could not fit us in until 9pm. To say the least I was very disappointed. It is not our fault no one there follows up. I guess we need to take our business elsewhere. Really disappointed.

“A great local spot! ” Ive never been to the wood fire café before and I was looking for something new and interesting in downtown Riverside, and boy did I find it! This place is a bit small but the menu is fantastic. The only big concern that I had was when we sat down our server did not go over the specials that were...

“Decent food” So the draw to this restaurant is that it is full of things the owner has made using recycled materials - he had made many different sculptures and contraptions and cool things to look at. The food was a healthy portion, so I wasnt disappointed. And their fresh juice is great!

Amazing cuisine and service. I highly recommend going. It is a little more upscale than some of the nearby restaurants in town so I do recommend dressing up a bit and calling for a reservation since there is limited seating. You will not be disappointed!

I had the chef suggestion for that night: bass. A definition of perfection. The best way you could ever cook fish with a fruity sauce. It was amazing. And the napolitan cake was a rich and flaky dessert. Very nice staff.

Family owned in the heart of old Riverside. Some of the best, richest, Frenchest food Ive ever had. Real foie gras, sweetbreads, and scratch-made pastry. Ate like a king. Slept like a baby.

What a hidden gem this is. Outstanding dishes like venison and duck breast pair up nicely with an indoor ambiance that makes you forget where you are and enjoy the food and company.

As a frequent visitor to France, this place brings some very traditional french cuisine to the Inland Empire. My favorite entrée is the duck breast; I love it medium rare.
