I was visiting town on business, and stumbled upon this gem with a business associate. It was a Tuesday evening so they werent too busy (do make reservations if you can). We werent in the mood for pizza and decided to sample a variety of small plates. To sum it up, the food and service is 5-star quality for a very reasonable price. We ordered the Pork Meatballs. Pork Shoulder, Burrata Plate, Cauliflower, and Zucchini Cakes. Service was very friendly and top notch. The meatballs were to DIE for...I am very picky being from an Italian breed and, seriously, these are the BEST meatballs I ever had!! Very tender, moist, and bursting with flavor! The shredded pork shoulder was also very tender and delicious. The grilled cauliflower plate was also outstanding and presented a delectable burst of accompanying flavors. I heard the mushroom toasts are a big hit--we werent in the mood for mushrooms, but I would love to try it next time. Oh, and I forgot to take my receipt...when I called to retrieve it an hour later, they happily went out of their way to locate and send it to me. I cant say enough good things about this place. Will definitely be back!!

Located in Redwood City on a cute little street, which is great for walking and talking off the pizza and food we ordered after lunch. We sat in the nice back patio and our server was attentive and on point. We ordered: - mushroom toast: deliciously toasted bread piled high with mushrooms in a light creamy cheese/sauce - burrata: fresh heirloom tomatoes and generous dollops of fresh cheese, drizzled in the right amount of balsamic vinegar - mushroom truffle oil pizza: this one was delicious but a little overwhelming with all the mushrooms - sausage and honey pizza: the honey and sausage worked perfectly on this pie Granted, the types of pizzas available are a bit different than your average pizza place, so if youre looking to try something a little new, this place will work for you. And if the pizza selections are too risky for your taste, there are always the delicious appetizers, salads, and sides. We drank beer here too.

Superb small plates and pizzas in a relaxed yet elegant atmosphere. I dined here with a group of four and sat at a table in their outdoor patio out which was generously heated with several propane lamps, enough to ward off the bite of a brisk fall evening. We started with a number of appetizers including the famed mushroom toast and burrata plate, both of which were exquisite. The toast was thick cut with just the right amount of crunch to contrast with the soft center. The pizzas were equally excellent; our favorite was the sausage and honey with included a nice a serrano kick (though the rosemary potato with a farm egg was also quite good). The restaurants gelatos are delightful as well with flavors like Tahitian vanilla topped with olive oil and sea salt, and generously portioned to boot. Service was on point and while the meals cost leaned toward the more expensive end, I felt the meal to be well worth the price.

Food: 4 Decor: 3 Service: 3 Came here with a friend for dinner Wed night 7pm after making a reservation the day before. 1. Pear with cheese appetizer special, 15 ~Pretty good. 3 cooked half-slices of pear, each with cheese. The two complemented each other well. 2. Burrata, tomato sauce, and arugala pizza, 18 ~Pretty good, although Id probably try the honey and sausage pizza next time. Didnt taste the basil or fleur de sel. 3. Espresso chocolate chip gelato, 5 ~Pretty good. Gelato was extremely smooth. Service was so-so. My water was forgotten, and my glass was empty once or twice. The place is extremely loud, so its hard to hold a conversation.

Great pizza, great service. The menu has a selection of "small portions" that arent that small, salads, 1 or 2 soups in the special of the day and a very well selected list of pizzas. To start off, their pizza are baked in a brick oven with actual wood fire, thats already a considerable plus, the dough isnt tick and heavy, the wood fire add a nice char to the edge and allows the pizza to come pretty fast to your table. They also have a pretty good selection of wines, both bottle and by the glass options. Great place for a dinner for two, a gathering of 4 or 5, or even a business lunch/dinner.

Nice restaurant that has indoor & outdoor seating. Apparently, half their seating is reservable but can get booked up a few weeks in advance. The other half of their seating is open. We got there around 530pm & got seating but by around 6pm, there was a small wait. The service was fast. The pizza was good. After San FranciscosUna Pizza Napoletana, this is probably the best wood fired pizza in the area - thinner & firmer crust, more cheese,& more sauce than Una Pizza Napoletana. We tried the margerhita pizza & the green olive pizza. The brown sugar lemonade was also good. Service was good.

I tried Vesta recently with my family, and managed to get a table on the patio on a Friday evening even without a reservation (though we did arrive somewhat early). The food was delicious -- better than any place Ive tried in Redwood City, with the possible exception of John Bentleys. The small plates were particularly excellent, though I thought the thin-crust pizza was also very good. Service was friendly and helpful but not intrusive. I highly recommend the restaurant, and am excited to go back when I get a chance.

Vesta is a wonderful place to share a meal. Pretty simply the food is outstanding and the service is excellent. Perfect spot for a date if you want to share some small plates or split a pizza and have a few glasses of wine. They reserve some room for walks but those spots usually go very quickly so its best to plan ahead and get a reservation a day or two in advance if youre thinking about a Friday or Saturday night. My favorite items on the menu are the Spinach & Ham white pie and the seasonally available Avocado Toast!

My favorite local pizza place. This is a trendy pizza joint with hipster waiters and tries very hard to be modern and cool. Places with such pretense usually cause me to roll my eyes, but this places gets away with it because it isnt hoity-toity, doesnt take itself too seriously, and the food is seriously good. If you liked fire oven pizza and havent tried this place, youre missing out. Definitely get the honey & sausage pizza, its the best thing on the menu. From there, explore to your hearts content.

Vestas food is excellent and they have a great variety of pizzas and appetizers. The bill can add up quickly with alcohol, so keep an eye on the prices. The atmosphere is generally comfortable, but it gets really loud when the dining room is full. I suggest eating outside, either on the sidewalk or out back. Also, the wait can be painfully long depending on the day and time, so go early and put your name on the list and grab a drink at Blacksmith next door while you wait.

Wow. Amazing pizza and delicious salads. What makes this place remarkable is the very warm welcome you get. From the servers to the manager it is clear that this place is built with heart. It is not just a restaurant but a mission. It is clear that they care about serving the very best and in making their guests feel very welcome. Congratulations and thank you to the Vesta team - you are outstanding.
