7/24/14 My husband and I stopped in and ordered the potato nachos. He wasnt very hungry so it was my choice. The $9 plate of chips, cheese, bacon, and spicy sour cream was a little disappointing. Before it arrived though, a swarm of flies surrounded our table and we had to keep batting them away. (No, they werent following us, they were just in the place all over.) One even rested on my water glass. It kind of freaked us out and we didnt even have our food. When the nachos did arrive, most disappointing (for husband) was that less than one piece of bacon was chopped onto our plate of chips. I know, because I had one little tiny piece of it, and Casey ate all the rest, and verified that there was almost none. He wasnt able to eat the chips with the spicy sour cream because it was too hot for him so he ate around those. I added Chipotle hot sauce and sriracha (yes, both!) to my plate, as well as some salt. My chips were crispy and very spicy. As we neared the end of the chips, there were so many left with no cheese at all. The housemade chips were very good, but at that price, I would expect more cheese, more bacon, and more care to the plate that youre serving customers. Make sure its consistent and appears well put together. Our server (Kinder) was excellent, and at one point I think a manager also helped us and even offered to "expedite" our payment upon seeing my credit card out, but we werent in any rush. Service was good all around. We would definitely come back to try something else or order a drink, but the potato nachos just werent a good value ($9.74).

Ive seen this place SO many times while Im driving out of town... Theyre on the very outskirts of Petaluma, but very well-placed within an industrial part of town. Without a doubt, this place is probably really hoppin around lunch time! Dinner might be a bit more iffy given their location, but make no mistake about it - this place should be a destination! The food, the service, the ambience, and beer selection are all Right.On.Point. Pub Republic caters to a different kind of audience, and is a much needed high end restaurant that is so sadly lacking on the East side of Petaluma. Personal recommendations? I havent (yet) had the opportunity to try every last thing, but what I have had is fabulous. By all means, dont overlook the Warm Goat Cheese Beet salad! Ive also had both the regular fries and the sweet potato fries - both really good, but if I have to make a recommendation, go for the sweet potato fries. Another delight to the senses would be the 1/2 Chicken served over a roasted brussel sprout hash - the brussel sprout hash could seriously be its own side dish! (I could eat it all day long - maybe try with a poached egg on top!) Do yourself a favor and make the trip out Lakeville Hwy - you wont be disappointed!

OK, so I have been here numerous times and the I think the service and food quality is suffering. I ordered a two beers over the course of the meal and each time there was an inch of head foam on the top. I know that there are those who like a bit of a head on their beer but one inch is to much. On to the food, my burger was way undercooked (raw inside) as I ordered it medium rare. Last time I had burger there, I ordered it medium and it was overcooked. Burger cooking should not be difficult to cook to the customers satisfaction. The service while adequate, was less than stellar. No one was there to seat us, so we just seated ourselves. Come on guys, step up your game or your business is going to suffer.

The inside looks really nice and I wish we could have stayed longer for some beers, but we were really just grabbing something to eat on our way home. WORD OF WARNING. The pulled pork is the hottest sandwich I have ever had and I think I burned my lip a little taking a bite of this thing. Right, so the pulled pork. Great roll, tons of meat, sauce is Carolina style and was tasty but I prefer my pulled pork dripping with sauce. Request extra if you can. I also ordered some sweet potato fries and they were definitely top tier. I wish I could say more. I will have to update if I ever drive by here again.

Ive eaten here about a half dozen times and enjoyed every meal. Their "pub" food is great quality, beautifully presented, service is attentive. Pub Republic gets crowded, but Ive never felt rushed. Good selection of craft beer on tap. I recommend bangers and mash or andoulie sausage. My friend orders pulled pork sandwich with sweet potato fries or one of their large salads. Portions are large, she always takes some home. (Probably to save room for dessert.) Soups vary daily, if they offer carrot ginger, please try it.

Decor is very nice with a beautiful bar. I was there for a great burger after a stressful meeting. Service was OK, I got the blue cheese and bacon burger. Burger was way over cooked and the blue cheese consisted of a bit of blue cheese in some sauce. The bacon was forgettable due to the salad and basalmic dressing they put on the burger too. A third of the way through the burger and it broke in half. What does the menu consist of? 90%burgers and appetizers. I would give it another chance though.

Great beer selection, nice bright ambiance, and great burgers! Only downside.. its slightly more pricey than nearby spots, but you totally get what you pay for! Both visits so far were mid-day, when it wasnt super busy. I had the Trappist Monk burger and my wife had the Wine Country Cowgirl burger. Both were fantastic. The staff was pretty good about staying on top of upkeep and prep for late afternoon crowds while also waiting on patrons such as myself. Ill definitely be back!

Burger was meh, it was dry and there were two pattys instead of one which always makes me suspicious. Also the blue cheese and bacon were under stated which is a feat in itself. Service was good. Fries were good. Why am I harping on the burger? That is 85 percent of their menu. Nice bar and decor. Lets hope they hire someone who can cook and craft a great burger. Will give it another shot

Went for brunch today with some friends. Had the Monte Cristos sandwich and side of potatoes. Really good, and just the right amount. Didnt walk out feeling like it was a heavy meal, and and the waitress we had was awesome. I was about to ask for some more coffee next time I saw her and turned around and there she was with the coffee. Thats good service. Going back for sure.
