We went out of our way to try this place for Christmas Dinner. The service was bad, the food wasnt great, and the management was horrendous. It was Christmas and we wanted to have a nice family dinner but instead of a friendly cheery staff, we got a rude manager, a wet table, no service the entire time, and unsanitary meat. The prime rib was way over cooked and almost every customer commented on it, and when you did get it, the guy cutting it picked it up with his bare hand, not the hand with the glove. When we told management, they said that his hands were sanitary. Last time I checked by oregon food safety law, prime rib is a ready to eat food, and ready to eat food must be handled with gloves or tongs or something. Plus his "sanitary hands" were not washed the entirety of our time there. We were sat right next to the buffet and watched as he did a million things like move trays around and check the candles underneath the chaffing dishes, but never once washed his hands. We asked for coffee we never got, and were treated really poorly from the start. It was definitely not worth $30 a person especially when the manager wouldnt comp one meal because someone in our party hardly ate because they were so disgusted. We asked for the manager to see if they could make it right but we got nothing but an attitude and excuses. We werent asking for the whole check, just one person, and all they could offer was a gift card to come back, we dont want to come back and we dont live near here, we came out of our way to give it a try, what a mistake. We will usually give places another chance but not here. Wont ever step in here again.

Absolutely miserable experience with serving staff, my sub par dinner was only half edible and after multiple attempts to contact manager regarding two individual servers charging my singular signed credit authorization slip, he stated, "you were charged twice for your meal due to human error and your just going to have to deal with it..." No apologies, no offer to resolve my frustration and was still charged twice, and after three days, still no resolution. When I initially inquired about the duel $25 charges + the $5 addition the server said, "oh, another server thought your ticket was hers, and she added a five dollar tip for herself!" I was staying at the hotel and had dinner packed to go. Do people tip on a to-go order? Is it honest to collect a tip via a persons credit card slip when the tip portion is left blank? I think not. Due to fear of retaliatory actions via the staff and poor mediation from management regarding customer complaints, I choose to NEVER eat there again & will not support a business that does not respect, resolve, and ensure their customers are satisfied. To add insult to injury, Best Western utilizes this place for guest breakfast comps, or $4 off items of your choosing before 11 (There corporate office will be informed of the above mentioned events).

This is a response to the comment left by svetlana t. I was sitting right behind the party of five when they came in and sat down. They all ordered back to back shots and were told that was against the rules. The bartender was not rude in any way. They demanded to speak to the bar manager and were told that they were speaking to him. They then demanded to speak to the general manager who was also present throughout the entire confrontation, and was also not rude in any way. As they stormed out the door yelling disgusting obscenities in front of all the customers, they were very politely asked not to come back. I really doubt they heard with the vileness that was coming out of their mouths. After they left, they called the restaurant, bar and hotel complaining some more. They also threatened to leave this review which is why I felt the need to clarify the situation. There is nothing wrong with the customer service at the Rivershore Bar OR the restaurant! The service is always friendly, the food is always delicious and the drinks are always yummy. Dont listen to these meatheads!! One was actually wearing a tank top that said "suns out, guns out", but he definitely was not "armed". Ha ha ha

Went for the Christmas buffet. Hospital food had more flavor. The pasta had the consitancy of paste, the shrimp tasted just plain bad, the meat selections (turkey, ham, (supposed) prime rib, and one unidentifiable type) tasted awful and was bone dry, the other food was lukewarm at best and the steamed vegetables were almost soup-like in quality they had been there so long. Crab was available, and if you could get a shell cracker it was okay, but there was no butter available and nothing for a hand wipe after except the rough polyester napkin the silverware was rolled in. Service was embarrassing. When the waitress finally arrived and tea was requested, she brought ONE...so I shared it with my wife. The final touch was the pie (no dessert bar at a $30 buffet that had no more than 10 items on the line) which was obviously frozen and tasted so bad that even though my wife and I shared a single piece, we left 3/4th of it on the plate. Bottom line: DO NOT EAT HERE. Hit someplace like Old Country Kitchen and you will actually get better food, more choices, and the same general atmosphere. YES, this place is THAT bad.

You know theres a problem if within the first five minutes of your visit youve already decided not to tip your waitress. She was impatient and pushy. I felt pressured to order because she hovered over us instead of giving me a minute to decide. I ordered a lemonade when we were first seated. It was the weakest, most watered down $3 lemonade, and it was never even refilled. I actually finished it and switched my straw and the lemon wedge to my water glass and the waitress filled my lemonade with water because you cant tell the water from the lemonade! When we were finished eating, the waitress didnt offer us to-go boxes when there was clearly enough to be boxed up. The food was passable, but it wasnt nearly good enough to make up for such inadequate service. When a waitress assumes shes not going to be tipped well because shes serving young adults, she treats them poorly and THAT is the reason she didnt receive a tip from us tonight. I can confidently say that I will never dine there again. 0 stars. Awful.

By boyfriend and I went here the other night. He had the Cajun with salmon pasta dish and I had their burger. He also asked for a side salad as his dish came without one. We both thought a side salad should have come with the dish (i.e. soup or salad). He liked his pasta well enough but it had little to no Cajun spice. The salad was weird. It was just large lettuce pieces..to large to eat properly, one small tomato slice and two thin slices of cucumber. Pretty basic. The burger though was really good. Service was kinda slow since there were very few customers at the time we were there. Its an OK place.. but for $50 all things could have been better.

My menu fave: Salmon Burger. This is a very large grilled salmon fillet. NOT a mushy, breaded pattie. Its the real deal in a big soft bun with aoli sauce and all of my favorite toppings. My seat and view: Summer time I love dining on the deck with a bottle of wine, good friends and a relaxing view of the river. If the weather isnt perfect I just sit inside and enjoy the view still because the entire wall is windows. My staff fave: I cant pick just one. They are all wonderful. The wait staff, manager, bartender, everyone.... My family Fave: Husband (huge hamburger) Daughter (French dip) Daughter (steak dinner)
