This Le Pain location is by far the worst. I felt uneasy, as if my business wasnt wanted. The cashier did not acknowdge me, perhaps because I was the only Mexican American in her line of vision. Once my order was prepared to go, the cashier did not want to hand me the food herself. She called on a kitchen assistant and instructed him to hand the food to me, all while I was standing NOT TWO FEET in front of her. Would much rather make a drive to the Beverly Hills location, where service is not discriminatory. Bad Le Pain, BAD (waves finger disapprovingly).

This place was awful. The portions were terrible, the food itself was bland and uninspired, and they charged enormous prices for everything, including oatmeal. Say what you want about organic avocados and meats, but I challenge anyone to justify 10 dollars for a cup of oatmeal smaller than their water glasses. I guess if you enjoy organic food priced way above what it needs to be, then this place is for you, but I can think of a whole lot of other places that do very healthy, tasty options at a fraction of the price.

Generally I find the Pasadena location to lack the impeccable customer service of the Melrose and Claremont locations, but its still an LPQ with all the amazing salads, tartines, and desserts you love. Favorites: black bean tartine, lentil salad, almond meringue. Coffee and tea are top notch too, they really put a great deal of care into there ingredients, both on sustainability and taste.

Egg salad tartine was a nightmare to eat. Plate was much to small, with everything spilling on the table and the bread was much to thin. When trying to pick the slice up, it would bend under the weight of the egg salad and fall all over the place! Not a relaxing experience at all. On the other hand, the anchovie slice added just enough salty flavor to make the tartine interesting.

LPQ is my favorite place for breakfast/brunch. The food is healthy and doesnt take long to get to the table. The steal cut oatmeal and avocado toast are good, and the mint lemonade is the best here. I personally like the Glendale location better than the one in Pasadena, though. Its just not as cozy here.

Amazing food choices. I came here for breakfast with a couple of friends and had the Belgain Waffle with Berries, Cold Brewed Coffee and their bread basket. They have a crazy assortment of delicious spreads. Must try it if you get a chance! My favorite was their Brunette (Belgian hazelnut praline spread).

I thoroughly enjoyed my mean here. The ambiance wasnt quite french but it was very enjoyable and the food was delicious. I am a vegetarian and there were several delicious options to choose from. The price was decent, for California, and I would recommend this to anyone.

Casual atmosphere, a lot of organic options, great food pairings, wish the bread were toasted, refrigerated tarts were very tasty, perfect portions just enough, indoor and outdoor seating, kids menu, crayons, activity page, simple menu but diverse selection.

Chicken cobb salad is solid. Gazpacho is great. Avocado toast also delicious. Prices are a little steep, but food is of appropriately high quality. Service can be slow at times, but servers are always very friendly.

Want to know what bread means? Well, come HERE. their loafs are precisely how it should be. Im back in France when I come here. Though I have 2 negatives. 1- its expensive 2- they dont make baguettes :-(

The food here is so fresh and excellent. Most everything is organic and they really take care in serving it to you as fresh as can be. The staff is getting better but sometime they can be a bit brash.

Got a rustic tuna sandwich type dish with avacado, hummus, tomatoes, and some seasoning. It was really really yummy. Very california-esque menu (everything says organic even if its redundant).

If you like paying a lot of money for a small portion of food that will leave you still hungry, then this is your place. They do have good coffee though.

Great Belgian sandwich shop! Home-y indoor seating environment, broad menu options, fresh food. Still feels unique even though its a chain.

The coffee price is high, but other prices seem reasonable. The asparagus omelet was excellent - not over cooked. Highly recommended.

I was happy to see La Pain in Pasadena. Had been at locations in NYC and while this one is quite the same, I had a great breakfast
