We stopped by on our way to another state and some things I wanted from the menu they actually dont offer or plainly just didnt have. If your not in a hurry then thats a good place, it took awhile for our food, one...by...one. The place seemed to be family run, and Im not sure if they had a bad day but the attitude we got was soar/plain. The place did look clean, thats a plus! And if you like spicy then thats your place, I personally dont. I ordered a burrito and it was spicy (it had no salsa) the meat was spicy (I got steak). So I got a taco, it was spicy as well, (again, it had no salsa it was the meat). The only thing I had that didnt burn my inners was the enchilada, it is covered in red salsa but it was not spicy what so ever (that had no meat, we ordered chicken but they messed up and gave us cheese) it was okay. The price was, ...alright. For two drinks and two dishes (burrito and one enchilada) it was $18, and some. Overall the experience was an Eh, we were hungry so I cant really judge the flavor that well.

We live in San Diego and were just passing through. This will be a definite stop for us whenever we go through. Dont let the exterior dissuade you. This place is excellent! I am vegetarian so I had the cheese enchilada and a bean and rice tostada. My husband had the grilled chicken tacos. I liked the enchilada sauce so much I got some to go! The restaurant is a clean, family owned and run. The service was great! So if you are looking for a quick stop and excellent-yet-adfordable food I recommend El Potreroď

Friendly and quick, the service was fine, but the tacos were a bit disappointing. No option for"street tacos", just soft and crunchy. I went with soft. The ground beef was super salty, though the flavor was still pretty good. Some lettuce and tomatoes, Jack cheese, and a little sour cream. The edges of the tortillas were a bit chewy. Overall, filling but not very satisfying. Certainly not a standout offering, considering the limited visibility of the place.

Half hour wait for our food (with only one other table occupied when we arrived). Shrimp chefs special was tasty; other two dishes (fajitas, soft tacos) were mediocre. All our dishes were quite salty. Waitress was very pleasant, but one of the orders for flour tortillas came through as corn.

Even though we moved form Orland my wife has me drive the 36 miles round trip at least 3 xs month for her Nacho Supreme with Carnitas and I crave my Awesome Shrimp Burrito.... I think we spend more on fuel than the cost of these Delicious items

The food is always awesome! The wet burrito is amazing and the carnitas are always good. Authentic mexican food for a reasonable price. Whenever we have out of town visitors we always make a point to take them here!

Coming through on our way to Oregon and found this restaurant. The food was fantastic and prices were inexpensive. Great chips and pico, authentic Mexican food. Dont let the outside fool you, its worth the stop!

Food was ok. Carnitas is a good choice, but other selections are just average. The service was a little lax. On the positive side, the prices were very reasonable.
