Okay here goes the restaurant was okay somewhat clean the waitresses they all seemed kinda they think theyre hot and bothered or something I dont know make you feel rushed and bitchy you think but this place isnt that good either I read all the reviews they all say all this place is great use your damn head review this place weather its bad or good this place is just like Dennys but maybe a little bit better with a different name Roberto delivering water and coffee did a good job the guy who serves the food is nice waitress didnt come by once and asked me how it was food was nor did anybody else I have my napkin down on the floor by the table and nobody came by and pick it up I think theyre just out for as much tips as possible and screw the customer just part of the food tasting good is customer service being nice to people who are tipping you they seem to forget that we dont have to tip and sometimes I feel like they didnt deserve it so why should I tip I think society should use common sense and get a grip write a review after the meal not before and not during you dont want the waitress to see you doing a review that way shell think Id better be nice and give them good service or your whey of thinking if I write a review and she or he sees it Ill get good service and the most attention I hate goddamn review that means something be real honest

My first time in and they commit a cardinal sin of food service. I understand that even the best run places have an unexpected run of a menu item, or even screw up and fail to order from their supplier promptly, but all staff should be aware of the short fall and inform the customer when the customer orders, and not after a round trip to the kitchen. But in this case it wasnt a matter of running out. After the round trip to the kitchen the waiter informed me that the black beans for the Huevos Ranchero that I had ordered "werent ready yet" ( This, two hours after the Lakeshore Cafe had opened for breakfast). I was too tired and hungry to go through process again so I asked for the check for the coffee that the waiter had brought. That person disappeared for a few minutes but instead of returning with the check they came back with an offer of substitution for the black beans. Seeing my patience was thin, they comped me for the coffee. I walked down to the Rolling Dunes Cafe and had a delicious, satisfying meal on my plate within minutes.

The service was great, but the food was flavorless. First time, I had their turkey blt and it was drenched in mayo and sauce. I had to pick through it and finally gave up. It was a mess. My friend had the waffles and she said they were bland, tasteless. Second time, I decided to try their breakfast stuff hoping it would be better. Nope! The eggs Benedict was plain and simple. It came out warm and didnt seem fresh. The side potatoes were super salty and spicy. The sour cream added some taste to them. The French toasts were flavorless; even with the syrup, they had no taste. Will not come back.

Ive been going here for years and its consistently good. There can be a wait on weekends but its worth it. A tad on the noisy side so its a great place to go when you dont feel like a lot of conversation. Youll be too busy eating anyway. If its nice, sit on the back patio. Its adorable!

Perfect combination of location, food and easiness. When all the other trendy places in Oakland are swamped with hipsters, come here for awesome eggs blackstone, huevos rancheros and mimosas. You wont need a second mortgage to pick up the tab either.

I worked here for a week of training and let me just say the cooks and bus boys all drink alcohol on the job also from the outside looking in this place is ratchet regardless of the menu i would rather eat at chipotle right up the street

Great food, everything is made with fresh ingredients. The breakfast potatoes were amazing. Friendly staff, lots of seating. We went with a group of six and they sat us pretty quickly. I would definitely go back.

Nice local place to grab breakfast or lunch! They offer some reasonably priced mimosas and the waffles are great! It is slightly diner style, but thats what gives it its character.

This was the most average food I have ever had. While the portion size is big, the food has no taste at least nothing unique. For a dish that is $11.50 I highly wouldnt recommend.
