These are probably the most friendly people I have ever met in North Highlands. If your looking for Bobby Flay quality cooking, this is not the place. The food is great dont get me wrong I actually prefer this place over others of similar quality, but if your expecting the best ever you will be dissapointed. I would give the food a solid 4 stars. The taste is great and the food is aesthetically pleasing to the eye. The orange chicken is on point and the vegetables dont have a soggy texture but instead are crisp and palatable. The best part is that the food does not resemble something that has been sitting in a heating tray all day, a trait ubiquitous amongst many mom and pops style chinese food retaurants. Honestly the best part is the staff. They know how to properly treat their customers and deserve a 10 star rating. I would even go as far as to say that they would give you the shirt of their back if it meant properly accommodating a customer. I will pick this restaurant over others as long as the management remains the same.

This place is fantastic, it might not look the greatest but it definitely isnt shabby. Looks well kept and clean. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. The food is great and really cheap. Its always prepared quickly and seems like its fresh made for every customer. The wait isnt too long since theres usually not that many people there, so even if youre ordering take out you dont really need to call ahead (though if you have a big order I would recommend it). These guys go out of their way, each time Ive ordered take out they offer me a drink while I wait and on some of my bigger orders offered to help carry it to the car. Fantastic place if you want good cheap food.

first time. saw add on computer. nice enough folks over the phone. food got here way quicker than expected..about 20 minutes. but to tell you the truth the food was so awful i wish i never ordered it. i never had anything like this in my life. if i could get my money back i would. orange chixken is brown in color and soggy. peking spareribs were also brownish in color and soggy. both tasted as if they sat in week old used lard.no flavor unless nasty has become a flavor.i dont think the homeless would eat this without thinking they were being poisoned or something...41 dollars down the drain plus 3 dollar tip.someone give me a tip for who to call next time!

It was nice. They had some sort of corn soup that was delicious. I thought I was going to get a real serving of lemon chicken, as shown on their menu, but was disappointed. They later explained to me, that the picture doesnt always represent what you receive. I asked for some lemon slices and squeezed the fresh juice on top. It was much better then. I think most Every restaurant has stopped serving the real style lemon chicken....a breast with real lemon juice and slices on top.... in favor of serving little breaded pieces with a fake lemon sauce on top. Not near as good, in my opinion. I guess its a way to cut corners... but not a good way.

Mikes cool.,but food is not as good as the picture looks.the noodles are big. The flavor is lower middle quality . All it like gettoe mall chinese food . The house rice and chow mean has two large shrimp. Very cool personalities . Five star people 1 1/2 star food. Will never go back. The people are lie in the fool sucks..which makes me feel bad because the people are great they should get better cooks. Never bring your date here or you will not have a second date.

Were super sick with the flu. I called China Gourmet and asked if they deliver and they said no, but after telling them we were sick they went ahead and delivered for us. I cant say enough about this restaurant. Not many places will go out of their way for customers but they did! The food was great, wonton soup hit the spot. Not only is the foods good but they have great customer service and the price is reasonable, and they didnt charge for delivery. China Gourmet you rock!

Best Chinese food restaurant that I have ever had (I have gone to a lot) the server was very respectful and the food was great and affordable. I ended up being full and I still had to get a to go box they had Amazing egg rolls and I usually dont like them at other places. I really liked the style of the restaurant unlike other places where they have tacky decorations but this place was great I will 10/10 go there again.

Love this place, I eat here all the time! I dont even have to order Ann sees me comming and tells the chef to start my food! The crew here knows when Im out of town for work because its the only reason I go a hole week with out stopping by this hidden gem! Best asian food north of San Francisco!

I waited 40 minutes for 3 entrees of take out. The orange chicken and Peking beef were lacking in flavor. I couldnt even tell them apart thats how little flavor there was. Neither were crispy like they should be. The fried rice was good but its hard to mess up fried rice.

Loved it! But Im a fat ass that carries monopoly with him everywhere here goes. What do i know? :D I ordered wor wonton soup and cashew chicken and orange chicken with fried rice and chow mein as sides. The staff there was nice, professional, and fast. 5/5*

The people who run the place are new owners. The lady Mrs Ann is a beautiful lady. Her husband is very quiet but kind . Two sons Michael and Billy are great people. The food and service are great. Please everyone should try it. My husband Juan loves it.

Food was very bland. I ordered beef chow mein and got way too much noodles and few pieces of beef. The food tasted like it was rush cooked with no concerns of me liking the food or not long as they get the correct money. 1st and last time there. Nasty.

It is now under new management the Chef is great..food is not as greasy as prior owners...The menu is NOT up to date but they have the typical chinese menu fair. I was very happy with the order I had it delivered Food came promptly and still hot.

I ordered delivery for the first time last night and I have to say the food is AMAZING. Ive eaten from a lot of other Chinese food restaurants before but this is by far the best. The orange chicken is delicious :)

The portion of Orange Chicken was huge. I enjoyed how it was made to order not like that mass produced steam tray kind. Plus, it came with a huge egg role and soup too. The beer was chilled and cheap too:)

Love the owner and her sons. Always so nice and social. The food is great. I have never gotten sick, and I have a very sensitive pallet. Great prices, amazing combination plates, and delicious food.
