Spear spear spear its a love hate thing Ive been here a couple of times, I wanna say like 6 total Happy hour is great! And its awesome how they offer the same late night happy hour. The first time: it was a completely miss and waste of time! We were soooooo mad! We kept calling and calling and no one answered! But it said on the website and Yelp they were open. Got there and they closed the entire place for a private event! Whyyyyy!!!! No sorry nothing just... we are closed Second time: I went it was pretty good. Got the usual filet mignon with a side of asparagus and a bottle of wine. Typical problem where the server was struggling to open the bottle. I always just wanna be like "can I just do it please" The steak was cooked the perfect medium. Now as for the side of mac n cheese. It was awful, I wont go into detail, We basically had to send it back. The manager ended up coming and agreed that it looked very strange. Service was good. - he was super nice and gave my friend and I vouchers for a free side at a later visit. Third visit: service was horrible but the food was delicious lol We used one of our vouchers and the mac n cheese was amazing finally All the other times we came it was a hit or a semi miss. Oysters taste Fresh and yummy salmon carpaccio is really good Plenty of items on the happy hour menu that are well worth it Overall experience I like it, but there are steakhouses that are better. The venue is pretty nice, the bar area and lounge are really nice and chill. When the top portion is open, they have couches and heaters. Piano Bottomless mimosas Sunday Semi good service Depending on the manager Prime location. Dtla no parking hahaha, valet

What a surprise to find out that this place has NO service what so ever. I was there last Saturday evening. I was there with a group of people and had a reservation plenty in advance. The restaurant was beautifully decorated, clean, and quite nice. They were not busy at all. That is the mystery. We were sat in a private room which was also nice. We sat there for quite some time before we were brought a drink menu. The lady taking drink orders went past me because I had not selected a drink. She said "I will be back". She left and never came back. I had to ask for a drink from the other server.. They then brought out 6 rolls on 3 plates and set it on the table of 9 people. Guess we had to split them up. We ordered dinner and sides. Our sides for our end of the table, which we divided up in three sections to order so it would be easier for the staff, our French Fries came out in about 10 minutes along with another side. the other end of the table nothing which was fine, (they were sides for dinner). Dinner came out about 35 minutes later. I will say dinner food was nice. So lets cut to the chase..... When we needed something, someone had to walk out and find staff members. We had to walk to the bar for the second drink. Our bill for 9 people was $1299.00, they (with a party of 8 or more) add the 20% just in case you are not smart enough to see how valuable the staff there actually is. How sad to see such a beautiful place so poorly run. Do yourself a service.....NEVER GO HERE. Bob

Le Ka is a super chill spot for drinks and food in downtown. The food here is delicious and so are the cocktails. - scallops appetizer $19 - pork belly with truffled lentils $13 - 1/2 dz oysters $15 - burrata & hen of the woods mushroom pizza $16 The burrata & hen of the woods mushroom pizza was my favorite. The pizza had a nice thin crust that was slightly charred on the outside and the dough had a perfect chewiness texture. The mushrooms were so good! The diver scallops appetizer came with 2 scallops in a coconut lychee broth. The flavor of this dish was great but the scallops were overcooked. I also thought it was a bit pricey for just 2 scallops. The pork belly was super tender and tasted great with the truffled lentils. Oysters were fresh and sweet. If you drink vodka, go with the mule. Its refreshing and made with fresh ginger. I came on a Friday and there were a live jazz band. I love the ambiance at Le Ka. It is beautifully decorated with a modern upscale feel. Great spot for date night or hang out with friends on the beautiful outdoor patio. They have happy hour from 4-7 and again at 9:30 til close. Parking: Valet or lot nearby for small fee.

Wanted to give this place a 5 STAR rating because the food was great but some girl with BLUE hair had the worst attitude ever towards me. I asked her what she recommended on the menu and she said the ribeye which I decided to go along with but when I was ordering she told me that the steak had fat just around the edges which I was also fine with but when the steak came out, the whole steak was fat. It was fat everywhere, the Edges, and the whole center.. A big center of the meat was all fat!!!! So I sent it back and said I wanted the flat iron steak instead which was going to be my original choice until she mentioned the rib eye, she then got snotty and ask me "so you dont want it" TWICE and you can tell in her tone/demeanor that she was angry.. Funny thing is, she wasnt even the cook, all she doing is asking "if Im enjoying everything?" Guess she was to lazy to bring the food back... Anyway, my food was great, you enjoy your food unless you decide to change your mind(IM SORRY BUT IM NOT GOING TO EAT A BUNCH OF FAT, IM PAYING FOR MY FOOD. Not you!) ghetto girl with blue hair...

Had dry aged ribeye, roasted zucchini, sauted mushrooms, roasted potatoes and the mashed potatoes. There were 4 of us. The sides can be shared. We had lava cake dessert with gelato but they dont serve the lava cake with the gelato/ice cream together like they should... The ribeye was not as tender as expected but was flavored well and everyone enjoyed theirs. The zuchini was too delicately flavored. Everyone enjoyed the roasted potatoes but I thought they could have been less dry. What makes me never going back was the service-- lack of it and also they werent packed yet were rushing us. No offer of dessert. We had to ask and no refills on sodas and only small glasses for the water. Also they had twice baked potatoes on the menu but you cant have one or buy it if you arent having prime rib. Pretty dumb since the dry aged ribeye is so much more expensive. Anyhow there are too many steakhouses to ever come back to this one. Dont recommend.
