We were fortunate enough to be invited to the soft opening of the Red Herring which formally opens Tuesday, August 30, 2016. It was wonderful!!! I highly recommend the short ribs followed by the buttermilk fried chicken. Our group got to sample almost the entire menu: pork chops, chicken, ribs, butterfly fish, yams, squash salad, fries, candied bacon, crab cakes, etc. All were superb. There is a seating area downstairs with a bar. Upstairs was my favorite as it has an accordion window arrangement whereby the entire window moves out of the way and you can really feel the outdoors. The second floor was a truly unique dining experience. Overall, I think this place will be a hit in Eagle Rock. Other restaurants exist, but none have the decor and higher level of quality food offered here. This is truly a very nice place amidst the typical pizza and hamburger restaurants of the neighborhood. Welcome to Eagle Rock and I hope to be a regular.

This is an easy one to miss, its directly across from Casa Bianca. This is a fancy place but not too fancy. A good spot for a 2nd date or something cozy like that. The short rib is to die for. Their pastas and ricotta are made in-house. Beer and wine are the staple drinks. The music was really kickin that night, lots of classic tunes to be heard. We were seated on the second floor; the wallpaper is a kick. Their food selection is seasonal and changes frequently. The bread pudding is solid, too.

A hidden gem, you have to park in the nearby neighborhood, but its worth it. Great interior design adds to the allure, main level and upstairs our perfection, if you want views while you dine, head upstairs. We had the short rib, not to sweet like the other places, you can really taste the flavor of the meat. Ricotta toast a perfect appetizer. Wife had the blue crab cakes and a few crafted cocktails her favorite was "Boss loves Bubbles". Definitely coming back and telling friends.

Wie Zeeuwse mosselen uit Nederland kent, raden we de mosselen van het voorgerecht en hoofdgerecht ten stelligste af... Zeker gezien de prijs!

Thanks for a good dinner DH, Good food here, though I did find the grapefruit jalapeño drink too spicy. I also found a small piece of the fried chicken batter not fully cooked, but delicious anyway. The pork chop was perfect. In the end I left happy and full. I recommend this restaurant to anyone. : )

Atmosphere was nice, staff was very friendly. Food was good and well thought out. They need a true liquor license to really bring it all together. They have "cocktails" with beer and wine that are for sure creative, but being limited to beer and wine holds them back.

We will be coming back to Eagle Rock for this place no doubt! Great design and ambiance inside. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly and the food was delicious but it was very pricey. Try the chicken sausage side, mmmm. Need to try the Chicken and Waffles next.

Amazing service, beautiful building, and inventive, delicious food. The hardest part was choosing between all the dishes, so we ate half the menu and loved every bite. The blackberry pie is to die for.

Our party of 4 tried several of the appetizers and 3 main dishes. All of the food was excellent. Sitting upstairs was great. Beer and wine only....no spirits. Beer selection was pretty good.

We saw the great reviews... We wont go back , ordered the yellowtail, we were served SPOILED fish. Inexcusable, some one is not paying attention. Over priced, and over hyped,

Flavors were good, ambiance was good, service was good... it all came off like they were trying too hard. They may just need time to get into the groove.
