Other than my insistence on calling this place "sexy beast" instead of "little beast" - this place really won me over. First timers = keep an eye out for their specials ... we got the cheese and charcuterie boards and the pasta Carbonara from there this time around. What we had: 1. Cheese Board: A nice selection of cheeses, along with honey and tangerine on the site. Im used to a few more extras on my cheese boards (different nuts, etc.) but this was still really nice. 2. Charcuterie Board: A decent helping, and well cut + mustard (yum). Between the two, the cheese board wins, but this wasnt disappointing at all. 3. Mussels & Fries: Im not always huge on mussels, but there were really flavorful. The fries are good too, but they come in a very small container, so dont plan on getting full off of them. 4. Brussel Sprouts: The sprouts themselves were delicious. The potato chips on top made no sense, but no biggy - just move them on over. 5. The Little Beast Burger: Simple, but still very good. The Little Beast Burger was made really well (and the meat wasnt overdone #score). 6. Pasta Carbonara: I mean ... thick slices of bacon and a creamy carbonara sauce, what more do i need to say??? DESSERTS: We had the chocolate pudding, the bread pudding and the special (a persimmon cake with ice cream) - the persimmon took the cake (#sopunny) but the others were good too. The chocolate is very rich, so prep yoself. WINE: We took our own bottles. Corkage fee is $18 per bottle (slightly more than youd pay elsewhere). Thats about it...wasnt it enough!?!?!?! Id definitely recommend this place - great ambiance too & the staff is super friendly. Stay Cheerful ;)

Came here one saturday night around 8 and was lucky to snag a table for two. My friend and I ordered: Chipotle Hummus with Pita Chips: my favorite savory item and absolutely delicious. slightly spicy and smoky and really well flavored. Definitely should have asked for more pita chips. Hamachi tartare: very fresh-tasting but unfortunately easily forgettable. Also very overpriced compared to the portion. Burger: the meat was good and perfectly cooked to medium, as requested. It was a bit soggy and fell apart pretty quickly, however. I did also find that there was an excessive amount of bleu cheese, to the point that it overpowered the taste of the burger. The fries were thick-cut, but I did enjoy the seasoning. Belgian chocolate pudding: The sea-salt topping really sealed the deal here. Im not much for pudding nor chocolate but I absolutely loved this dessert. Smooth, not overly sweet, and just the right amount of sea salt. Service here was okay. We definitely had to flag the waitress down for water and other things several times, but they were busy that night. Overall, there were a couple of standout items that I enjoyed (the hummus and pudding), but overall I would say that my meal was overpriced and underwhelming, especially in competition with some of the other restaurants nearby. I would definitely give it another shot though, especially considering all the high ratings.

Came here for dinner tonight - kind of out of randomness. they were pretty busy for a Monday night but we made last minute reservations so we didnt have to wait. first of all place is pretty well hidden - good thing that they had a pretty big sign on the wall. they have valet parking but we parked on the street. Service - okay - nothing special, waitress was nice but nothing more. actually took her quite a long time to come back to take our orders - at one point i kind of thought she forgot about us since we sat out in the patio out front. the host was really friendly and sweet though. Food - just okay as well. We ordered: Duck Liver Mousse serve with toasted baguette: tasty, and not salty (sometimes these mousse/pate can be a bit salty). Indian Butter Octopus: best dish we ordered - really like the flavor though I wish there was more octopus than potatoes. Crispy Brussels Sprouts & Sweet Potato: i didnt really like the maple vinaigrette dressing but the brussel sprouts was pretty good. Little Beast Burger - i only had the fries that came with the burger because by the time it came out i was way too full so my boyfriend had half. looked pretty juicy. Overall it was a okay experience - i thought it would be better.

Im a fan of this place. Its nice and cozy inside, the service is good, the food is good, and the prices are fair. Oh and they have a kids menu. +1 for being child friendly FOOD: Hummus - good. get this (its chipotle though so heads up for those that cant handle spicy) Chicken Liver - good. not as good as the hummus though Brussels - Good... but they are brussels... how good can veggies actually be compared to "real" food haha Flat Iron - this steak was good. i asked for med rare and thats exactly what I got. No, its no mastros but its decent Chicken - I only had a bite of this but it was tender and moist (and this is white meat Im talking about... legit) Risotto - I had a bite of this as well and it was good. It was also had the risotto qualities I expect... a bit heavy and difficult to eat a lot of... probably better as a side SERVICE: Good. No issues PARKING: Street (free- I came for dinner on a Tuesday and it wasnt that hard to find street parking); Valet

I am giving Little Beast a 3 star rating because I expected more. To start off we were seated on the porch. This is probably the worst place to be seated in this restaurant. The restaurant is in a craftsman home on Colorado Bl. The porch is closest to the street. The side yard seating is easily the nicest and I wish I had requested it. We enjoyed the Farro salad and thought it was easily the best dish. We also had the Steelhead fish on lentils. This was also very good. We had the charred romaine salad which we were less impressed with and the homemade spinach pasta which was very satisfying, but not as good as the other two dishes. We had the caramel chocolate special for dessert and we were not that impressed. We probably should have had the signature chocolate pudding or gone somewhere else for dessert. We might try Little Beast again if the menu changes, but we are good for now.

I took my wife to this restaurant based on the good reviews. We were both impressed with the food, really great tasting with decent size portions. On the pricey side though. I however cant recommend this restaurant as a place for a romantic date. They have tried to cram too many tables in the small space. There is a big difference between cozy and down-right uncomfortable, and this place is definitely the latter. We sat on the patio and the tables on either side of ours (also couples on dates) were so close that we could hear every word of their conversations, and they ours. They mightve well been sitting at the table with us. In fact the elderly couple next to us just started chatting to us whilst we were in the middle of our meal. So if you are looking for something romantic where you can have private conversations with your significant other, then give this one a miss.

This is a great place for a date night! Was pleasantly surprised by the ambiance and the food. Lovely romantic ambiance with a bar and great food! What we ordered: -Chipotle hummus with pita chips: YUMMY! I loved the spicy kick in the hummus. The portions were very generous. Great appetizer! -Scottish Pan-Roasted Salmon: Perfect! The salmon was cooked perfectly. The salmon was moist and nicely crusted on the outside. The flavor was great. -Flat iron steak: My boyfriend loved this dish! The steak was cooked perfectly. It came with potatoes and bleu cheese. Great flavors! -Tres leches cake with caramelized bananas: Tasty! How can you go wrong with tres leches and bananas? :) Parking: You can find street parking in the residential area closeby or valet it. Were definitely coming back!
