This Tin Pot is definitely not as good as the one in Town and Country so if u got the extra gas in the car, I recommend going there. The PA Tin Pot has more flavors and dairy free ice cream (that isnt sorbet). It also has a bigger menu such as tea. Unfortunately the Los Altos one doesnt :( That being said I still love the ice cream here! Best ice cream Ive ever had! Its so smoothe and delicious! The portions are a little small but thats not stopping me from coming back here or even paying for a bigger size :) The texture is just right too! Not too hard or icy and not too soft. The flavors they make are not packed either with too much sugar but just the right amount. Lastly I love that this place accepts Hands Free. Simply just walk up to the register and tell them youll "Pay with Google" and youre out the door and on your way! LOVE IT!

The flavors here are decadent and perfect. I have tried four of their ice cream flavors and they were all amazing. The Blueberry flavor actually has pie crust for a nice sweet and salty, yin and yang balance. The birthday cake actually tastes like a really delicious birthday cake. The salted caramel was rich and buttery. Because the flavors are so rich you dont actually need a lot to scratch your ice cream itch. I cant rate this place high enough for the mouth satisfaction you get treating yourself here.

If you dont mind paying nearly $5 for a scoop of ice cream and $12 for a pint of ice cream (including tax) then its pretty good. However, it will probably be the last time I go because the price is really ridiculous and when I asked for a little spoon tasting, the woman gave me a taste and then was irritated that I didnt order any scoops. I had to remind that I just spent $40 on ice cream. She just gave me a unpleasant look.

Tin Pot recently opened in Los Altos, and they seem pretty busy every time I visit. There is no indoor seating due to the small location, but there is some seating outdoors. The Earl Grey is my favorite flavor right now, but all of the flavors have fresh, seasonal ingredients and they are made on site at the store in Palo Alto. I am a sucker for ice cream, and Tin Pot definitely has the best ice cream in the area.

Walked in and none of the ice cream in the front case was able to be scooped and sold because it had melted and re-froze. The "servers" werent good at explaining what happened and didnt seem very knowledgeable. We opted to buy very expensive pre-packaged servings from another freezer. The chocolate chip was fine, as good as Baskin Robbins, but for more than twice the price, I expected far better.

Gourmet, small batch ice cream shop right off Main Street in Los Altos. Flavors are varied and interesting, but I was not blown away by the flavor, texture or experience. Staff is helpful and friendly. Benches on the main street are available to sit and watch the cars drive past. Been to the Town and Country location in Palo Alto, too, and that didnt amaze me, either.

They must have the Tricks leprechaun making their ice cream because it is wonderfully delicious. The kids scoop comes with eyes and a smile. I like the basic chocolate or mint which is perfectly balanced. The more creative ice creams tend to be too much for my palate but are good in small bites. This is a great stop after eating out about town.

The ice cream here is one of the best Ive ever had. The lines can be a bit long but the wait is totally worth it. You would be better of just grabbing a pint from the freezer anyways since youll definitely want to come back :)

Alas, Im on a low carb diet. How I miss getting ice cream here. I recommend any of the unusual flavors. Try something new. Though the chocolate ice cream is so rich and creamy. They usually have a vegan choice.

Very tasty ice cream and some unusual flavors. The sundaes are very large. Be sure you really like the flavor you pick, because you will be eating it for a while. There is no indoor and limited outdoor seating.

Very good ice cream and a fairly good selection. Staff was friendly, however seemed to be struggling with other customer orders (made the wrong thing, gave to wrong customer); we had no issue with ours however.

Excellent quality ice cream and a delicious array of flavors (I highly recommend salted butterscotch and malted milk with milk chocolate pieces). Adding hot fudge sauce and brownie pieces is a must!

They have a lot of flavors and it is a great place to get homemade ice cream. There are benches right outside the shop to sit and enjoy the ice-cream. I love their salted caramel.
