Ive never been disappointed with anything Ive ordered at The Pizza Place and Garden Cafe... And Ive been all around their menu for years...! The pizza is always good. From your standard Cheese to the funky and unusual - theyre always good. The salads are generous and well put together - it doesnt seem to be just "open-a-bag" and "grab-some-green" plopped on the plate... with grated cheese, olives, chopped veggies and more - its more homemade than you usually see in a casual dining restaurant... And theyre never stingy with the dressing or bothererd by special requests... Sandwiches and other Italian fare is well presented, hot (when it should be!) and delicious! Ive never had a bad meal here. The food is well priced and typical for pizzas and salads and subs. The Italian dinners are about average price - but stupendous in quality. Inside the restaurant, its sort of small - with maybe a dozen booth seating areas - complete with "arbors" and faux-painted garden scenes. But if you want a cozy atmosphere, this will fit that bill wonderfully! Outside, in the "garden" on the patio, youll find decent spacing between tables, a wonderful central firepit and well spaced heaters (when needed!).. Its typical garden patio seating - plastic chairs and tables - but its comfortable and casual. The building also has a lot of faux scene painting along the walls and the patio is covered for half and open for half. The plants and other "natural" garden elements make you feel like youre at a private home and a catered dinner party..! Service can be a bit slow at times - this place DOES get busy - so you sometimes have to wait a few extra minutes. Its a very popular restaurant - both because of how good it is - and the proximity to the established neighborhood around it. Many locals dont worry about limited parking - mostly street with about a dozen off street spots - and they walk the few blocks from home to enjoy The Pizza Place and Garden Cafe. Casual, laid back, affordable and tasty... can a Southern California restaurant get any better?

When my guest and I arrived we were treated by the wait staff seated and ordered two beers and the waiter came back 10 minutes later no problem . We never saw the guy again he was rude not engaged and had a attitude we spent )50.00 for this guy to be rude not God been there ma times but will not go back you can not dis respect me and my family and say oops sorry come back we talked to him . No you didnt and I am not asking he be fired only stating he gets t do what he wants I am not the first to be put out but the first to state an opinion . The owner needs to step up the diversity training your job as wait staff should be to offer great service regardless of your personal view ot any level if you are prepared to offer excellent customer service at every moment while working with the public ,

This has to be the most disgusting pizza on Earth! The first time we ordered pizza from here, we didnt realize that the crust would come with sesame seeds.....needless to say, it wasnt very good. The next time we ordered - thinking it would be better without the seeds, we were still disappointed. The caprese salad was tasteless. The mozzarella was not even the fresh traditional kind, but rather a tasteless white chunk - gross! I will never eat here again. It should tell you something when the food you cook in your own home tastes better than restaurant food...and thats not saying much considering restaurant food is usually better...10 thumbs down!

For once, in my 13 year marriage! My wife would not stop talking about everything wonderful about," the pizza place".. She explained how perfect the waiters were, how fabulous the food was, how nice the menu was organized, how cheap the prices were, and a big plus+ for romantic.. What a spot! As a Federal Liaison for Customs Inspections, she is respected for her critique. That night would be written on the calendar. As later it would become a husbands wonderful night Too... A special thanks for the wonderful staff, cooks, waiters, and management... Thanks!!!!!

Classic Customer diss from establishment....I am 1 person who comes in...and then an 8 person party comes in....place is not busy in late afternoon either....I get my order in before 8 person party....and then the staffs focus switches to pleasing the larger party and forgetting about me...and then apologies for order delay after the big party is served and my order is late.....NO! I DONT PAY FOR THAT..BULLSHIT! Keep your pizza...eat my order ....and read my review.....so can everyone else.....you werent busy either!!!!

They say their sauce and dough is made in house if thats true their chef should be sent back to school. The calzone was buried under so much mozzarella the integrity of the entire dish suffered. I ordered the Greek calzone and found 2 bites of basil, mostly it was bland awful sauce and under cooked green bell peppers. I also sampled a signature pizza and equally disappointed. This place substitutes volume for a balanced entree, and it outrageously overpriced. Save yourself and go to BJs instead.

Simply put, there was nothing great nor terrible about this place. The food is ok, the decor is pretty good, and they have an outside patio which looked nice but it seems like a mom and pop joint. Service was on par, no complaints. So for what it is, I guess its decent, just not memorable. The food and environment just lacks a little ... pizazz.

Me and my wife had a baby shower there and I can truly say the staff handled our event as if. It was there own. They were attentive in every way and made everything run so smooth. Not to mention all the guest enjoyed the fantastic pasta buffet they set up for us with unlimited salad and bread sticks. We also enjoyed the well made margaritas and

Very delicious food and very affordable. Our server Roaiza gave us amazing service checked on us and brought us everything we needed making this visit amazing. She was very attentive and inviting. Service 20/20 Food 20/20 Ambience 20/20 This place is very amazing will definetly be back

Lovely place to eat. We went there for lunch I had a salad and my bf had a small pizza, both meals were huge and delicious so we had to take them home and ate it again for dinner. Affordable and friendly staff, would eat here again.

This was my first time there and it was a real treat. I had the best pizza Ive ever had and on Wednesday their wine was half price. The place is spotless and the servers were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely go back.

This is a great little Italian restaurant. Pizza is fantastic, the antipasto feeds a small group. That patio is cozy and warm even on cold nights with the fire pit and out door heaters.

We eat here about once a week, its walking distance from us. The food is always good, we also enjoy the live music outside on the weekend with the fire pit on, its rarely not crowded.
