Cute place! I almost feel bad for giving them a 3 star, but let me explain. Prior to coming, I scoped them out online and I had my heart set on a sandwich, but upon my arrival of 7:30pm on a Monday night, I was told that sandwiches arent served after 5pm. Next, I saw a small collection of gelato, one of my weaknesses. Go big or go home so I went with the extra large size. I asked if I could get 2 flavors (salted caramel and stracciatella) and the guy said sure! Boy was he generous with the portion! The first few licks of the salted caramel were tasty, but then it became too sweet so I focused on the stracciatella (thin chocolate chips/vanilla) and I enjoyed every bite of the stratcciatella. The ambiance of this place is really nice for studying or some quiet time. However, if you want to catch up with a friend or two, I suggest sitting outside. Great for people and dog watching, so many cute doggies! All in all, not sure if Id go out of my way to come here, but if someone suggests this place to meet up and its before 5pm, Ill definitely be trying their sandwiches!

The LBC and I have issues. I came here with a friend to resolve those issues but while walking down memory lane, we ended up here. Until they can invent a caffeine drip straight to my veins, Ill always be hunting down coffee to satiate my cravings. All that aside, what I really wanted was a decent cup of chai. Most coffee chains, like Starcrap, love to mess this up with vanilla and cinnamon. I dont want the Americanized version. Give it to me straight up, no sugar. Just the chai. When I explained my elaborate need and took up some precious time at the register, the barista and I were in sync. What I want in life is the "dirty chai." Ahhh!! Two shots of espresso and chai. Yes. Now were talking. The ruggedly handsome barista whipped up my order and it was pure bliss. Bliss. We got an awesome window seat, watched life pass us by, and concluded the LBC just wasnt for us. However, Id happily come back to this corner for another cup of dirty chai. I can cope with the LBC for this moment of bliss.

My go-to neighborhood coffee place; I come here at least once a week. It used to be more often, but I started getting into making smoothies at home so Ive cut back on my morning coffees a bit. This is one of the first establishments to help turn 4th St into what it is today, and its still going strong after all these years. The secret to their success? Great coffee, great food, and great people--what more can you ask for? Because of its greatness it can get very crowded during peak times, but I usually go there in the mornings on the way to work anyway. Im so lucky to have such an awesome coffee joint so close to home!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the set up of this place! I love how the front is modern and clean looking and the back area looks more vintage and hipster. They even have a stage for performances! Got the breakfast paninis which were good. Also got the white chocolate raspberry cheesecake which was both good and cute! Didnt try their drinks though was kinda craving boba which I dont think they have. Overall love this place so far only suggestion is to put more meat in the sandwich I swear there was only one or two slices of turkey in there.

First time yelp truly disappointed me. Didnt like my coffee, wife didnt like her latte, pastries were not bad but not worth the price, and it was very crowded. The barista tried ignoring me when I tried getting one of the WiFi codes from her - she only relented to help when I asked loud enough for other people to hear. I want to give a second star just because they have a lot of options for drinks and food, which is great, but we had such a bad experience it doesnt deserve it.

Clean facilities with unisex bathroom. Great drink menu and pastries, quality service. Prices are a bit high but comparable with large chains. Could do work in the back room seating. But the front is pretty loud. They have outdoor seating as well. They offer free copies of OC weekly. Only subtracted one star because of noise level, but if you go at a quite time Im sure this place would be 5 star worthy.

Was around the neighborhood (newbie), looking for a coffee bean -none to be found till another 10min drive. Was with a friend, trying to find a local coffee shop and found this place instantly! We both thought the coffee was amazing!! :) Nice staff too! Next door had a cool chill book /music shop from what it seemed, didnt have a chance to check it out though, just noticed it from afar.

A third waver who actually has good espresso. The place is great for a coffee house and very roomy. Theres a lot of food and drink options as well as alternative coffee brewing methods. Not a lot of coffee shops offer Chemex, let alone know what that is. My main complaint is how busy it is and how difficult it is to get seating if youre studying. Other than that, its a great atmosphere.

Everyone has their different favorite cafes in LB. This is mine. Independent business. High ceilings, big space, great light, solid tables and chairs for doing work instead of mismatched vintage hipster nonsense, good coffee and pastries, and attracts a lively cross section of the local community (though can be crowded). Bonus: has the best vegan brunch in town on weekends.

Cozy neighborhood coffee shop with tasty bites and solid coffee. Illy (my favorite mainstream brand) is used here and the staff always seems to produce consistently great drinks. The seating in and out is inviting and add to the charm of the shop. Also, the frequent guest stamp card helps earn you a free drink after purchasing 10.

I take breakfast sandwiches pretty seriously, and have had my fair share. The Bite Supreme is one of the best Ive ever had. One of those sandwiches that goes down so pleasurably and effortlessly that once youre done you ask yourself where the time went and think about ordering second breakfast right then and there.

Absolutely gorgeous ambiance inside. Very homey, you feel extremely comfortable. Their coffee is very delicious, their Mexican mocha is a pleasant surprise! Their iced Americanos are also delicious, and they have foods such as sweets and sandwiches like a breakfast egg and bacon bagel sandwich.

This is a great space to work. The Wi-Fi is not super fast but definitely doable. You need to purchase something in order to get the log in key from the staff member. The space is very lovely and comfortable. I ended up getting a cheesecake bar and a cup of hot tea, yummy :)

One of the best independent coffee houses in Long Beach. The environment is very comfortable and an awesome place to study for classes. Its quiet but lively. They have good coffee, tea, and food options. Their green tea latte is one of their best options on the menu.
