We came into Casse Croute for a bridal shower last weekend, and everything was fantastic! We needed a place for a relaxed bridal shower breakfast in downtown Livermore, and Casse Croute seemed like the perfect place. We called the bakery about a week ahead of time since we were a pretty large group (21 total), and Lenore was more than happy to accommodate us. She had some great ideas for how to set up the party, and helped us order ahead of time to make sure we had enough food for the whole group. She ended up making two large (11-inch) quiches, and set aside about two-dozen pastries. Each pastry was even cut in half so we could sample multiple varieties! Lenore and Heather had arranged our tables in the patio, with heat lamps and blankets for the slightly chilly weather. They hadn’t overlooked any detail – even the silverware was decorated with a ribbon! They supplied us with a pot of hot coffee and a variety of teas, and placed the food out on trays as we arrived. Both ladies took great care of us for the entire morning, making sure everyone had enough to eat and drink. We tried the spinach/onion and zucchini/bell pepper quiches – both were lovely. We also sampled several pastries, including the croissants (plain, chocolate, and raisin), and apple turnovers. The pastries were perfect – not too sweet or rich, but just the right amount of buttery delicious-ness. The coffee was also tasty -- I didn’t even need any sugar in mine. We had a great time at Casse Croute – both the food and service were amazing! Also, I should note that parking for all of us was a breeze, thanks to a large lot across the street. We were definitely lucky to have Lenore and Heather help us make the party a success. (And Heather was even nice enough to take several pictures of the event for us!) Casse Croute is charming and cozy bakery, but is also wonderful for group events – we recommend it to anyone who finds themselves in downtown Livermore.

Wonderful to have a little piece of France in Livermore. Baked goods, soups and salads and sandwiches are authentically French. They use sweet, creamy butter instead of mayo in their sandwiches. And offer French Ham (thicker slices than American ham) and Saucisson (French Salami). All sandwiches are served with slices of Comté cheese. They have petits fours, biscuits, and macaroons besides croissants, artisan breads, baguettes to purchase. Try their other desserts - bread pudding, pear, chocolate and almond cuplette to name a few (this is so worth getting, can taste the sweet pear with rich dark chocolate chunks and toasted almond in a buttery, rich dense cake). Casse Croute is doing well and expanding. They recently built out next door and have expanded their indoor dining area. Going to be great once winter finally comes and you are looking for a place for a quick bite or a sweet something to go with your coffee. Plenty of shaded outdoor seating next to the side of the building. Only con: Closes at 3pm and Mondays

Visited Casse Croute for lunch and was very pleased. The croque monsieur was quite tasty, perfectly buttery and crunchy. Potato leek soup was served hot and very flavorful, cold brew coffee was awesome, and the Lintzer tart was perfect. Service was fast and friendly. The owner came to the table to ensure everything was good; she was friendly and genuine. The cafe is clean with plenty of seating. I will return to try other offerings from the menu.

My 26-year old daughter worked at Casse Croute bakery for a few months in 2016. They just sent the W-2 form with her Social Security number exposed in the return address window. This incident speaks loudly of how negligent the owners are in their responsibility to protect employee data. As you can imagine, there may be consequences my daughter has to live with. Food may be good and wife very friendly but this is very disappointing!

Tasty and cheap. This French-style bakery/cafe has a great selection of offerings for your breakfast and lunch time needs: Pastries, sandwiches, soups, and so on. Good coffee, too, which can be tough to find in downtown Livermore. for those who like good soups: There are usually four or five available, and most of them are vegetarian. Plus the people are always friendly and helpful. On the edge of downtown.

Easily my favorite place to make sure I get to when I visit home. Authenic and delicious French pastries made by a wonderful team of workers. And their coffee always hot and perfectly yummy! The apple tart is unlike many youll try and the croissants will always be buttery, flaky, and perfectly delectable!

Took me a while to try this place out since rarely walked on that side of the street. Glad I finally tried it. Its a cute little shop and the food is top notch. Great place to make a pit stop while strolling downtown or start/end a time out with date or small group of friends.

This is the best bakery in Livermore! My kids regularly beg for breakfast from the bakery - in particular the apple turnovers. In the midst of all the baked goodness, dont overlook lunch - they have some very tasty sandwiches as well.

Their pastries were fresh and delicious. I was received and treated with much courtesy by Lenore and her children. And their ingredients are fresh and non-GMO! Thank you for treating me like family.

Decent place, but I came away a little disappointed after seeing the fantastic reviews. The pastries are usually good, and the same goes for the sandwiches.
