There is a reason why someone is giving a restaurant a bad rating or review. When you go out you want to get some value for your money. This restaurant is one of the places where the owner milks the customers. It is not a Mongolian restaurant and has nothing in common with the Mongolian cuisine. We brought a Mongolian with us and when we asked him if the food resembled anything Mongolian he laughed. Even if it is false advertising that is not the main problem. When the waiter spoke no English it is not so difficult to understand what is going on in that establishment. Ultimately, I asked the owner to take our order. The first plate they brought was a plate of fried noodles or the type of food that just clogs up the arteries. Their soup was not eatable. It was tasteless. There is an abundance of good Asian restaurants in our area. Therefore, we know the difference between the good and bad. We also ordered their fish fillet. They brought us just a few pieces mixed with vegetables. It was not enough for 1 person. All along they were pushing the white rice on us. In the end they brought us the unwrapped fortune cookies. When I asked the owner if she touched the cookies with her hands she told me she used the napkins. Yeah, right! In any case when I call the Health Department I will let them figure it out if this establishment complies with the California Health Dept regulations. People like that should not be in the food handling business. Nobody would deny an establishment a profit provided you get some value in return. I bet the owner will produce a few positive reviews to balance this one out. That is how she stays in business.

I love Mongolian BBQ, so I thought Id give this place a shot. Lets just say it wasnt a good experience at all. The place is extremely dated inside. When my family and I walked in, this guy brought us to our table without a single word. We sat down and he proceeded to stare at us without saying anything. We looked at him and said "Uh..well have water. He then walks away. Alright...so a little bit odd right? Food...not that many options for an all you can eat buffet. Probably about 3 meats and barely any other toppings. They also didnt have any noodles, which can make or break it, in my opinion. Sauces seemed extremely watered down and had little to no flavor. Overall, staff wasnt very friendly and if you needed something youd have to wait until you saw someone again. Food wasnt the best either. I wouldnt recommend going here.

Genghis Khan Mongolian BBQ is a mom-and-pop Mongolian BBQ and Chinese restaurant, which has been open for more than twenty years. The restaurant itself is a little shabby, but it is clean and the food is great. The menu includes traditional Chinese fare, in family-share portions, and a Mongolian BBQ grill. For those unfamiliar with Mongolian BBQ, it is not really "barbeque." You fill a bowl with your choice of meat (beef, lamb, chicken, or pork), vegetables (cabbage, bean sprouts, broccoli, carrots, mushrooms, etc), and sauce, then the chef fries the food on a large steel griddle. For Mongolian BBQ, they have several single-bowl meal choices and an All-You-Can-Eat option.

My wife and I ate there last night with my old Navy buddy and his wife. I recommend you make reservations. We did and Im glad, it was full when we arrived, but they immediately showed us to our table. I was a little nervous become of some of the negative reviews, but there was nothing to worry about. My friend was 30 minutes late, but the staff was very patient. The food was excellent, the service also. There was no charge for soda refills as some of the other reviews have mentioned. Mongolian BBQ just the way I remember it. All in all an excellent location for a chance to see an old friend. I look forward to going there again.

If I could give this zero I would. They took over an hour to cook the food for 5 people, messed up our order, ran out of teapots so they couldnt give us tea. They stopped every other person to clean the grill which took at least 8 minutes to clean, which was probably a good thing because they didnt know to hold onto the noodles and put water in them to keep them from burning. The service was polite, but not very attentive. The restaurant seemed dirty and two tables near us were not bussed from at least 30 minutes before we left til who knows how long after we left. The food was unexceptional.

Usually before I go to a new restaurant I check all reviews but this time I was very disappointed about these reviews. This Restaurant doesnt match their food with prices. My husband and I went on Saturday for lunch. We ordered the Chefs Specialties, Tree-flavor Saute and Mongolian Beef. Both were discussing; flavor, testing and food quality terrible. For the prices $14.95 and $12.95 we were expecting very good food. Also, those not even come with rice! I have to send my comment because I always use the reviews.

All you can eat for $15 with bread, rice, a side and tea. I love this place ! Its my favorite place to get Mongolian BBQ actually. Cozy place with delicious bread. One of the few places Ive found that offers lobster sauce when youre making your bowl, which I love. Try the Fuji apple sake. Only issue is the lineup can get crowded easily for the bowls because the food is offered in a corner rather than along a long wall. Definitely not worth taking a star off for though.

We have enjoyed this restaurant for years. The food is always fresh and plentiful. Everything is kept very clean. If you were turned off by their dark decor, try it again as their recent remodel has really improved the ambiance. One warning... they dont give free refills on softdrinks. Many at my company stopped eating there years ago because of this and the restaurant still follows that policy. Cant believe the expense outweighs the lost customers.

This place is a staple in the community. I love that they keep the original image. Not giving in to the main stream BS just simple food for A simple price.. I love the staff and the reason there in business.. Julie helps the people that need help. If you have a problem she will fix it.. She works 7days a week and is so darn happy.. She is afraid of missing one return costumer.. So many people come to just say hello.. I had a fantastic time..

Genghis Khan has the most amazing service, they are very attentive to every need you have. The mongolian barbecue is good, but not the best I have ever had. Although they have some things to put in like pineapple and mushrooms that other mongolian barbecues dont have. They are also family owned. Prices are reasonable for the area. Have never had a bad meal there so far. Have never tried their Chinese food so couldnt comment on that.

We have been going here for many years. Same family run business since the beginning. The service is always fast and friendly and the food quality is always excellent. While their specialty is the Mongolian BBQ (inverted Wok), many dont know they serve some if the best Chinese food in town. Our kids especially love their Orange Chicken which is made with white breast meat and no breading. Not with fried nuggets like many other places.
