Oscars night had to work til 6:00pm wants someplace in La Jolla that could eat and watch the Acadeny Awards on a TV. Walk into a half empty and ask host that would eat here if on tv could be tuned into the Awards show 02/26 since I am in the show buz this is like superbowl for me. Host when back to Bartender he said no. Why half empty place and Did ask for much. F*#k you Islands La Jolla! Never will eat at a Islands ever again or and other partner of this un-cool place. Thanks for the great customers service for a local customer 92037.

Not too much to say here. -Service was decent -Spinach Artichoke dip was good -Endless fries....they were very crispy but the first batch were all like 1 inch long...and the next batch was better but a lot of burnt ones and yeah..just not that enjoyable -Burger: nothing to write home about. Was craving a burger and got the Maui burger but it was really just whatever Verdict? Artichoke dip was good, but lots of places have this. Burgers and fries were really not that great. Probably wont come back here again especially for the price

Came here on a Friday night after a bad customer service experience at the nearby TGI Fridays. Our server (Olivia?) took care of our group of eight right away and was patient and attentive. Islands seems to be jumping on the craft beer trend and offers 3 of their own brews. I tried the IPA and it was pretty good. The burger I ordered was delicious but fries came out warm, not hot. They taste similar to In-N-Out fries so I was a happy eater. Overall I was appreciative of their service.

Six people in our party. A variety of food was ordered. Salads, burgers, tacos, kids meal. No one finished their meal. Some of us took a few bites and didnt eat the rest. Bad taste and poor quality. Our server did not ask if we wanted a doggie bag because it was obvious that the food was bad. We just paid and left and will never return. Actually, for a Sunday at 1:30 the place was not crowded so maybe other people have stopped going there too.

Service was friendly and adequate. Food and decoration was pretty blah. We split a bland veggie burger (should have known better for this place) and tasteless cheddar fries, along with a VERY sugary $9 "Lava Flow" cocktail. It would have been cheaper to pour water into a sugar bag and stick in a straw. I also figured a place called "Islands" would have more of a fun, tropical theme...but it felt like a lazily converted Applebees.

Your regular mid-range Hawaiian experience with burgers and beer. They have a seasoning on the table that goes with nearly anything, but Ive found their combination of beer and burgers is quite nice and affordable. This restaurant is situated near UCSD and other establishments, but is a welcome addition to an area that only offers TGIF, California Pizza Kitchen, BJs, and Rock Bottom.

Great service, good food. We came during off hours (between lunch rush and dinner crowds), so no wait to be seated. Our order was prepared fairly quickly, and when there was a problem with one of our entrées, the manager came to our table to discuss it with us, and it was replaced at no charge. Our server was pleasant and friendly. It was a good experience for our party of 8!

A great variation of burgers that can fill you up no matter how big the burger. Their beers and cocktails are very refreshing. Their service is quick and you wont have to wait more than 10 people. I would say this is better for group sizes 2 to 4 due to their booths. They accommodated my group of 8 one time but it does get packed.

Family wasnt too hungry, stopped for a quick bite, had a salad and basket of fries. Both were great but the 5 stars is due to the service. We had a great server, the manager came and introduced herself, and the drinks never ran empty. A healthy craft brew list. Would not hesitate to go back.

The first 100 people today get a complementary burger for their 35th year anniversary. The burger was good and the staff are friendly. I tried the Island Golden Ale and Kona Longboard Lager samples and ordered the Kilauea burger on a whole wheat bun with fries. The fries and burger are good.

Good, but not great. I thought the prices were a little on the higher end without the food matching. I got no problem dropping some cash on good food, its what makes life enjoyable. I just felt that the $9 burger tasted like it should be a $5 burger. Still better than Applebees.

The food and service is pretty good. The staff is friendly and welcoming and pays atttention to you. The decor is all out and well decorated with tiki, islandy decorations with sports videos playing. Their milkshakes are delicious along with their deserts!

Well managed. Our experience had some problems but when the manager heard he took extra steps to correct. Places sometimes have problems, it just happens, but with active and engaged management they will be the exceptions and not the normal experience.

The atmosphere is definitely fun, especially for a group of friends or a party. The burgers are pretty good, but keep in mind that one is huge enough to feed one person-and are packed with loads of calories! Overall, its a nice restaurant.

The service was excellent. Our food came in two minutes and the staff members were friendly. The food was good. The white bread had a bit of a funny taste, but the rest of the burger tasted fine. The fries tasted great. I may come back.

An excellent place to stop of the freeway has you stop and go. Love the happy hour Hawaiian Sliders. More for those with a sweet tooth. The Nachos a lady next to me looked really good to.

We started eating at this Islands 20 years ago when wed visit the Temple nearby. Theyve got good burgers and tacos. What a combination! I like the Maui Burger myself.
