Yeah, ummm... not good. Lemme preface: I dont care for the Pizza Huts, the Dominos, and the Papa Johns of this world. Theyre not horrible, mind you, theyre just not good. I like good pizza- good crust, good sauce, good toppings... (Original Pizza in Newport, anyone?) Boy, Im hungry for pizza. Still. (I just ate the "pizza" from Main Street Pizza. And yes... thats pizza in quotes. A lot of nerve they have, calling it that.) Man, I was happy! I live off the 55 and MacArthur, and theres not much in the way of delivery near me. A quick google search for "pizza" showed up Main Street Pizza and Cafe. There were two google reviews that were really favorable (4 & 5 stars!!). No Yelp reviews. Medium combination pizza and a slice of cheesecake was $21 + tip. Couldve been a dollar, and youd get the same review. First off- their medium looks like a small. And I knew as soon as I opened it up, I was in for a world of disappointment. How can a pizza from a place called "Main Street Pizza" look like a cheap $3 pizza from the grocery store with 1/4 the amount of cheese? It was terrible! There was no flavor in the toppings. It had pepperoni, salami, rabbit-dropping sausage (you know- they kind that Dominos has, but with less flavor. No real italian sausage here), ham, green peppers, onions, olives, tomatoes & mushrooms. By the way, how do you screw up pork? I mean, it truly takes a talent to make a flavorless pie with pork products- pork is pretty much a universal, magical make-your-meal-taste-better meat. The crust was "cardboard-like", but it didnt have as much flavor as I expect cardboard would have. The sauce? Ketchup. Or catsup. Or horrible- take your pick. You truly could not pay me to eat this pizza again- I would rather have ketchup on corrugated cardboard with spray cheese and rehydrated vegetables baked at 350, than have this again. On the upside, the guy I spoke with (I think he delivered it, too) was really nice. Dont care- never going back. Er... have it brought again.

I had ordered a pizza for our Anniversary and I wanted to surprise my husband and send him a pizza (his favorite food) with I love you written out in pepperoni...He lady who took my order said oh yes we can do that no problem....He got the pizza and it was a plain regular pizza not the way I described I wanted....He sends me a picture of it and I was pretty disappointed..I called the store to complain and the manager was very polite and apologized and made the right pizza for us and personally delivered it and also gave us a ten dollar gift certificate...He saved the day!! And turned a disappointed customer happy!! In todays world its all about the service I understand we are human and we all make mistakes but take ownership of the mistake and making it right makes a big impact...Thank you Main Street Pizza!!

In my opinion, Main Street Pizza is the best pizza in Orange County. Their crust is the perfect texture and thickness, their sauce is wonderful and their toppings are great. Their pastas are even better--the perfect savory marinara sauce. We especially love the chicken penne. Their salads are also great (yummy homemade balsamic dressing), as are their breakfast pastries and cookies. They do a great job with catering, too--my company uses them every week, and I use them for parties. My husbands film company used them for catering during his shoot--and they did a fantastic job providing a nice, hot meal for the cast and crew.

Ordered 8 pizzas for my basketball team and families. The consensus was their pizza was not very good. Dough tastes like it was frozen and had a cardboard consistency. The pizza sauce was mediocre at best and had a weird taste to it. Cheese was processed, not fresh. The best thing, if you want me to throw them a bone, were the toppings, but really, they were on par with the fast food pizza places. Our families were staying at the nearby Embassy Suites and were wondering why the hotel highlighted their pizza restaurant. I would order Dominos or Pizza Hut before I ate here again. Even the kids said the same thing.

I ordered a speciality pizza (you would think they would know their own pizzas..it was a garlic chicken alfredo) and an order of garlic bread. What came was some soggy texas toast, and a large chicken and mushroom pizza. The woman on the phone spoke with such an accent, I needed to ask for someone else to place my order because she was not understandable. I will not order from here again. Better off with Papa Johns, or cardboard with cheese. Find another place and save the 27 dollars that I spent.

The employees actually have the audacity to prepare the food with bare hands right in front of the customers....and this is not the only place...the same thing happened at the Del Taco on Dyer Road Santa Ana, that place stinked too...10 days ive been in California and this is actually the third restaurant ive been to where employees work without gloves...disgusting...scared to eat outside.

BEST salads in town! The Apple Walnut salad is to die for - fresh spring mix, chicken, feta cheese, diced apples, strawberries, blueberries & candied walnuts, all topped with a delicious homemade raspberry vinaigrette dressing. Top quality ingredients. I have been coming here for years!

Love the pesto sauce on spaghetti. It is just like grandmas! The pizza and calzones would be much better is the dough was cooked a little longer. Twice now I have gotten raw dough in the calzones. Over all a very good Italian restaurant for the price.

So far place is NOT Busy and its been over a half hour for our pizza and we were told 10-15 minutes. There is another guy waiting for his and he has been here long before us. Will update review after getting food, whenever that may be.

Not Johns of Greenwich Village but just fine for road warriors who want fast and pretty good. Delivered to hotel room in 40 minutes and much better than the chains. Easy and accurate on line ordering. Try the meat lovers.

Best Roast Beef Panini. Service was EXCELLENT. I was 39 cents short and the cashier lady (maybe the owner) told me "Dont Worry About It"! I will definitely return here on my next lunch break. I suggest pre-order!
