According to the employees here, this place is "THE ORIGINAL super fast pizza" place and Pielogy/Blaze are just copycats. I havent looked into whether this is true or not, but I did enjoy my meal at this place and felt that the quality here was a bit better than Pieology or Blaze. Once you park in their large parking lot (shared by the other businesses in the plaza), you walk in and order at the counter. You can either get one of their pizza or salad selections or make your own. Unlike Pielogy or Blaze, however, you dont watch them assemble your pizza as you list the items that you want. You go ahead and list all the pizza sauces and toppings that you want, they jot it all down, and then you pay while they assemble your pizza for you and cook it. Apparently knowing what all the ingredients are going to be before they assemble makes for a more balanced pizza? I prefer watching them assemble the pizza so I can ask them to add more of a particular topping if necessary, but this does seem more efficient. They offer 3 options for their pizza: you can get a mini (6" crust) for $4.77, the regular MOD (11" crust) for $7.47, or their Mega (11" double crust) for $9.47. I got their regular MOD pizza, but with gluten-free crust for an extra $2. Toppings are completely unlimited, so I got the following: MOD Red Sauce, Garlic Rub (yes you can mix sauces), Mild Italian Sausage, Salami, Bacon, Extra Garlic, Rosemary, Chopped Basil, Pineapple, Sun Dried Tomatoes, and Mozzarella. You can also add knots (garlic, cinnamon, chocolate, or strawberry) to your order for an extra $3 but I didnt get any. They have a decent amount of indoor seating as well as an outdoor patio. Soda machines are self-serve and the womens bathroom was pretty clean. I really liked how my pizza came out. My gluten-free crust was not ridiculous thin and/or burnt, which is quite impressive. I was very happy with my crust. I was also happy with my toppings, although I feel like they were not evenly distributed. All my garlic and bacon were in the middle of the pizza; actually, most of my toppings were concentrated in the middle of my pizza so the closer I got to the crust the less toppings I had. Nevertheless, it was a delicious filling meal that I enjoyed. I would definitely come back if I was in the area and had a pizza craving.

This was my first visit to MOD Pizza. Ive been to Pieology in Lakewood, so I was curious to try a similar styled pizza. In the reviews below I read some complaints about the quality and consistency of the crust, toppings not fully cooked, and haphazard staff. I didnt experience any of that. My pizza was cooked well throughout, and the crust was wonderfully crispy. One half was, to be honest, blackened around the edges, but I liked a little char on my crust, so I ate that half and my wife at the other. I like their selection of pizzas, and the special of the month is the Tyler (which we ordered and it was delicious); sort of a meat-lovers meets BBQ meets Hawaiian style. Sounds interesting no? The person at the counter was very friendly and knowledgeable and easy to understand. We didnt try any of their craft iced teas, but they looked good. A lot of people suggested the caramel one. We arrived just ahead of the lunch crowd, so Im curious to see if the product is consistent with a rush. But I dont live anywhere near Irvine, and I wouldnt drive to Irvine just for the pizza. Lastly let me address the people who really complain about the pizza, like who spent hours crafting the perfect review with the right words to exactly describe every nano-meter of the food ... ahem... IT IS A $7.49 PIZZA!!!! For that price, it was fantastic! If I had paid $20, might be a little underwhelmed but it was still good food. The only thing that I was a little thrown off by was I didnt understand the guy when he called my pizza. In summation: Great for lunch Probably good for dinner Cheap Fast BOOM!!

I gave this place 1 star because I went here with my untie 2 weeks ago and I told the guy I wanted spinach, pepperoni, and bacon on my pizza then he puts the spinach before the cheese and I tell him can u put the cheese first and then the spinach. Cause you guys know that how you make a pizza and then he was being all difficult and said do u want the spinach before we bake it or after we bake the pizza and I said before then another guy comes to help me and says do you want pepperoni before we bake your pizza or after and then I said before. So then my pizza comes out and the guy says oh oh its ok if I put it in 4 slices right and he was just being difficult and rude!!! Then I have 1 slice of pizza left and I ask for a box then the guy says what size do you need I said small please and hes like how many slices you got left I said 1 and then hes like you will need a small box. So basically that was my experience and I am 13 years old and he was being a jerk to a kid hats just sad. Plus they had dirty tables had to clean it myself and I will NEVER come back to that mod pizza again.

*Thumbs up* I try to limit my carb intake, especially when it comes to white rice and bread, but Ill happily cheat for thin-crust pizza on occasion. DIY, made-to-order pizza is all the rage these days, so its no surprise that MOD Pizza is comparable to Blaze and Pieology. MOD has a slightly wider variety of sauces and toppings, and I found their crust to have more of a chew (which I like) than the others. They have a nice selection of house made drinks, and they even have Sriracha sauce -- which for a Sriracha addict like myself, is a major thumbs up. *Thumbs down* The ordering process isnt as smooth and streamlined, and you can tell the workers are still learning everything on the go. After my wife got her pizza within minutes, about 15 minutes had passed and everyone else behind me in line started getting their pizzas. Long story short, my pizza got "lost" somewhere so they had re-make it and fire it up again in the oven. They were super nice and apologetic, and gave me a free coupon pizza and some drinks to make up for it.

The location is facing Alton, right next to Luna Grill. If youre facing Rite Aid, its directly behind you. Upon entrance, theres a menu of different options ranging from custom pizzas to custom salads. Since I already knew I was ordering 3 same veggie pizzas, it was really easy for the employee to assist. Their assembly line is one of the quickest Ive ever seen and with efficiency I might add! It was veggies galore! For each, I requested extra artichokes and mushrooms. Paid with ease and received all the pizzas in warm boxes and within 10 minutes I was out the door for delivery to friends house. Thanks MOD Pizza for a lovely experience, genuine/speedy service, and of course delicious pizza!

First time at MOD. This is definitely some of the best build-your-own pizza I have had. Went here on a Friday during lunch. The line moved quickly and we sat down. It took a little while to get the pizza, but overall, a good experience. As a side note, Im not a fan of the plastic knives and forks as it made it difficult to cut the pizza - even though it had already been sliced at the counter. That aside, I would definitely come back.
