I have always wanted to try Bruxie and I was very excited when I finally got the chance to with a couple of friends last year. This location is in a large plaza with plenty of parking and offers a lot of seating (both indoor and outdoors) as well. They offer complimentary water inside near their beverage station and also have a nice bathroom. Your order at the counter and then grab a seat. We got the following: BUTTERMILK FRIED CHICKEN & WAFFLE with Chili Honey and Cider Slaw -- All three of us got this as our entrees. The chicken was good, especially with the sides, and went well with the waffles. I didnt think it was WOW but it was enjoyable. IRISH NACHOS: Crispy Waffle Fries & Bruxie Cheese Sauce with Applewood Bacon, Sour Cream & Chives -- These were pretty good... because how could they not be, right?! Pretty heavy though... SEASONAL CREME BRULEE: Built on our Light, Crisp, Yeast Risen 250 Calorie Waffle. Classic Vanilla Creme with Burnt Raw Sugar & Seasonal Fresh Fruit -- This was such a disappointment. I love creme brulee but this dessert waffle was horrible. Please dont order this. CHOCOLATE FILLED LIEGE with Dark Belgian Chocolate -- I thought this was just decent but my other two friends really liked this. Perhaps my opinion is lower because Im not the biggest fan of chocolate desserts... Overall we had a nice meal here (even if it was greatly marred by the horrible creme brulee waffle) but I dont think Bruxie was worth the hype. I guess I came in with too high expectations. I wouldnt mind coming back in the future, but seeing as I should be staying away from wheat, I probably wont :P 3.5 stars but rounding down to 3.

Bruxie gets props for starting this concept. Very unique and tasty. They use very high quality ingredients and the employees are really nice and courteous. They have some really great flavor combinations in both the sweet and savory category. One trick is that you HAVE to eat it there. If you take it "to go" the waffle steams and gets soggy. There used to be lines out the door and a ton of hype about this place. That has all died down. I am now finding that the waffle is too thick and "too much" as a delivery vehicle on the savory items. It still works on the sweet side. I had their tuna salad today (not on a waffle) and was surprised on how good it was. I got waffle fries with it as well since I had to negate the health aspect of my meal. Waffle fries are outstanding here. Soft drinks are all cane sugar and not major brands. I like them! Frozen custard is good, but so fattening. You can taste and feel the fat coating your mouth and insides. Even though I have spoken so positively about this place, I cant see myself really craving anything here to want to keep coming back. For me, It is kind of one of those places you try a few times because of the hype and after you do it, you are done. It is rather expensive too. Today we had 2 people. One got the Bruxie Burger, I got the tuna salad, 2 fries and 2 soft drinks. $30 bucks. Its still fast food people.....

Have a hankering for one of the tastiest waffles youll ever have? Bruxie is the place! Their delectable flavors extend itself to their "sweets" as well. I cant decide between the Nutella & Bananas and Seasonal Créme Brulée - I keep waffling.... The Lemon Cream & Berries is also a treat. Ive given this aspect of Bruxie, as well as the fun, upbeat atmosphere, a solid 4 stars. As to sandwiches and such, I think it depends on the individual. For me, if Im in the mood for a hamburger, fried chicken, etc. I dont need it wrapped in a waffle. Yes, I enjoyed the several sandwiches I tried, but each was more of a novelty, and once experienced, the curiosity was satisfied. Were I to carp on one item, it would the the $1 refill charge. When I asked "Why?", I was told it was because of the special "Pure Cane Sugar" ingredient they use. When I then asked what sort of "Pure Cane Sugar" is in a Diet Coke, they were speechless - no one had yet brought this up. Even though the reason for charging $1 for a refill was predicated upon the expensive ingredient of "Pure Cane Sugar," which did not apply to a Diet Coke, they nonetheless charged me. Not too expensive, but not too smart either. Be that as it may, Ill keep coming back to answer the call for something sweet, but for an actual meal (or a diet soda), its not my cup of tea.

the irvine location blows the orange location out of the water! reasons: 1) ample seating: lots of seating in and outside the restaurant, there are heaters on the patio so you wont be freezing while enjoying frozen treats. 2) great service: my friend and i ordered a coke float and decided to share, they were even able to split it into 2 cups for us! 3) dog friendly: there are milk bones available for the four-legged friends :) i even gave him a small bit of the custard and i am sure he felt like he was in heaven. 4) food: just as great. i usually stick with the bruxie burger but my friend insisted that the prosciutto one was good so went with that, and it was divine! so was the creme brulee waffle for dessert :) 5) parking: great parking, unlike the orange location. 6) wait: 7:45 pm on friday night and the line wasnt ridiculous like the orange location. so glad they finally have a location closer to home :)

Bruxie is an overpriced novelty. I decided to try it for the first time and ordered one of the specials on the front board which was a pulled pork bbq. All I can say is that it was a greasy mess. The waffle that is used for the bread resembles a waffle only in appearance, because I couldnt detect any actual flavor of waffle. Although it works great as a sponge to soak up the grease. I also ordered a soda for a drink which, unlike other fast food places that just give you a cup and let you get what you want, you tell them what you want and they bring it to you. Probably to avoid refills on their $3 drinks which doesnt make much sense. So a greasy pulled pork mess and a coke cost just under $13. Save your money and go somewhere else.

At first I was only going to do 4 stars, but after being approached by 3 different employees u upped it. One checked how my meal was, the other took my tray when i was done, and the last got me a refill on my iced tea! This place is definitely a "feel-good" lunch spot. The music is awesome here, and the breeze flows through like a paradise-style resort. The line can get long but the food is darn good. Some food items are a bit pricey for what you get but still good. The people at the cash register seemed a bit bored at first not very talkative (why i was first going to give 4 stars) but then the same guy who took my order, was the one who got my refill. Cheers to this Bruxie location for stepping it up

The food at bruxies use to be amazing, but recently has lost its unique flavor. But, the real problem with this location is the annoying loud music. I shouldnt have to yell over the music to place a order when the person is standing 2 feet in front of me. Come on! I like music but this was just horrible. The chicken waffle sandwich I order was not good too. The waffle was soft and mushy, the waffles were amazing here but not anymore. I loved the airy lite crispy texture. What I got was horrible. And the last thing is please serve real soda! Your Artisan soda is horrible just serve normal Coke, Pepsi dr. pepper whatever.!!!!
