We stopped here after a long beach walk and Im so glad we did! It was recommended to us by someone local and when we passed by, we decided to try it out. Everything about this was a good visit. The staff was very friendly and sociable, the food was fresh and tasty and the atmosphere was wonderful! The prices were also very reasonable compared to most other places in the area. We sat out on the back porch and were able to watch the sun setting with a nice breeze coming through the windows. Our server, Enrique, was excellent and made the visit very fun! It happened to be my birthday and when my boyfriend asked if they could do anything special, our server brought me a muffin and lit a toothpick for a candle! It was so fun and will be something I remember forever, Im sure. I would definitely recommend visiting La Playita if you are looking for a great place to eat in the area.

Oh my goodness, this place has some tasty food. Its unfortunate that I only thought to review it after I had already devoured most of this massive Combination Burrito, or I would take a picture. The burrito was around $9, and I had that classic question in the back of my mind when I ordered "Is this going to be one of those little burritos with a huge side of rice and beans?" Nope. A monster bathed in a peppered red sauce (delicious) came to greet me. Definitely would recommend this restaurant. Also the fresh chips and salsa are amazing.

Have been eating here as long as he had been in business. We take all our visitors to enjoy the wonderful food. We have friends call and ask if they stop by can we go to eat at La Playita. Dont know if they want our company or just want to have great Mexican food. This is the place to go to get great food and a wonderful view of the beautiful Pacific Ocean. Cant go a week without them. Ordered machaca con huevo and there was barely machaca in it. It is also overpriced, you can find the same meal at Olvera street for a few dollars less. We did not get any refills on drinks and the waitress seem like she just wanted to send us on our way. The place looks cute and the bathroom is very clean.

This is the second time here and I love it. Breakfast burrito for brunch isnt bad idea at all. Friendly staff, fresh tasty food and reasonable prices. If I can recommend anything here, it would be speeding up the service a bit, other than that you guys doing great. Thanks!

Good food, coffee, prices, service. Charming patio in any weather. Park & Beach views. Best end a nice walk there as parking can be rough. Metered parking in front & parking structure a block away. Worth it!

It is the best place in Hermosa Beach for Charizo and eggs for breakfast. They also have the best salsa in town. They treat you like family everytime we come in and it is healthy!! love it!

Great place for a nice Mexican dinner, just a block from the beach. If youre lucky, you may be able to get street parking near them. Otherwise, park in the big parking garage one block south.
