If you like gloppy ingredients on chewy, stale tortillas, this place is for you! As an added treat, youre "Chips and Guacamole" order will come in the form of a pile of mostly stale tostadas that break apart like plastic plates, and sweaty-smelling (yes I said sweaty) green gloop that tastes like day old lettuce. Mmmm! Your tacos will come in the new rubber-flavored tortillas that are such a hit in Mexico these days, as they can also be fashioned into bullet-proof jackets. Add bland rice with bad texture, and a gloppy pile of what tastes like canned beans, and youre all set! Seriously, it seems as if the first prerequisite for liking this food is to have no idea what good Mexican food is. The second one is not to care about quality. One of the greatest ironies of southern California is just how much bad food passes as Mexican, and this is another example. My Mexican friends would not call this good food. Luckily, there are some really good Mexican restaurants hidden in L.As sprawl. My suggestion? Take a pass on this one and keep searching.

I asked if they had shredded beef taquitos. I was served taquitos with crumbled ground beef that looked like something that came from a pizza at the Quick Stop: repulsive. I reiterated to the waiter that I asked for *shredded* beef, even saying it in Spanish. They remade it, but this time, mixed in with the shredded beef were a lot of unidentifiable mushy vegetables. It was very unappetizing, tasting nothing like proper shredded beef taquitos, but as I was exhausted and hungry, and they were there only "sit down" restaurant open nearby, I ate it. Ill never go back.

Not sure what happened to El Torasco but it has changed, and not for the better. My experience goes way back with ET, and it use to be good food and a good value, but not any more. I just brought home a LARGE Ground Beef Tostada. Its NOT large, at all. In fact it is exactly 7" Rd. and there is NO Beef. But there is .40 cents worth of lettuce whiich is a good deal, considering they charged me $10.00. In addition, the waitresss are not friendly, seemingly not happy. Thus, poor service and a bad tostada. Doubt I will ever return.

This place is amazing!!!! You can tell they use quality meat. The carne asada plate is my favorite and the guacamole and homemade salsa are the best. The owners are always nice and go out of their way to make you happy. I come here frequently because I know it will always be delicious.

Is it possible to give no stars this place has aweful service there food is like third rate jail food the beer is flat and the taps are dirty and apparently carinitas means carne asada here at El tarascos and the paper cups ? Am I five?

The quality of the food was very good indeed. The decor was pleasantly air conditioned, with good quality furniture. The food was plentiful and any eggs or other dishes that you wanted were cooked freshly for you. Value for money here.

Usually love this place but today had trouble finding the meager amount of meat in the burrito, waitress was missing in action. No offer to refill drink. Ill be back but if today was my first time here I would not be back.

Their street tacos are really good, the carne asada is cooked to perfection. The staff is really friendly and the service is always great. They also have a good selection of beer on tap to compliment the tacos.

I agree, the salsa is so very good that I bring a quart home every time we go! I wish they would cut chips, chip size, and not provide the whole tortilla, which is generous - but unwieldy.

This place has great food and drinks. It is extremely kid friendly. They even have a kid play area inside of the restaurant. It isnt a ball bounce, but TV and coloring books and blocks.
