This place is hands down the best Burger in Gilroy, but that is because its one of the best burger places anywhere that just happens to be homegrown in Gilroy. You can tell by the decor, the farm stand pickles, and the attitude of the cooks and counter people that these guys have been feeding people in town for generations. Their Burger of the Month and Haystacks (think designer chili fries) are always worth a try for me, though BBQ Bliss and garlic fries are a staple. Their fries and rings are as crispy as you like and there is a selection of hand crafted ketchups and mustards and peppers and relish to complement any meal. Try their daily agua fresca instead of a soda and you will enjoy a real taste of local Gilroy produce and hospitality. Order "2 pigs and a steer" burger. Best ever. Not on the menu, but should be.

Today I had the first decent restaurant burger that I have had since moving to Cali this last February. "The Big Roy" was absolutely stellar and easily ranks among the best I have ever had. Im fairly certain Angus ground chuck (chuck being the important part to me) was used and the burger was properly formed unlike the hockey pucks I have been buying everywhere else. It was juicy, rich and flavorful. The garlic fries were delicious and the sweet potato fries where the best I ever had.

So this place was actually a really pleasant surprise, the food was delicious. Its also one of the best (and only) places to grab a bite after shopping at Gilroy! The only downside was that the place was completely filled with smoke when I went there. They had just opened so Im cutting them some slack as they figure themselves out, under normal circumstances that would probably give them a lower rating.

You will have had better, the burnt buns probably didnt help. Its entirely possible it just wasnt a good day for whoever cooked my meal. Its also a possibility that I was a once in a blue moon exception to an otherwise excellent eating experience. In short, my burger had burnt (not toasted) buns and the fries were neither crispy or fluffy.

This was the second time weve stopped here, the first time it was amazing (2013). This time it just wasnt, still good just not great. Seems like the quality went down hill, our fries were overcooked the burgers where just ok. Also the $$ went up !

Pretty good! Definitely fresh ingredients, very gut bomb fatty non-diet friendly kind of place. Not much signage outside, but its nice inside and clean. My 1 year old are her entire grilled cheese haha! So clearly she liked it too.

Fantastic food . price is a little high but youre getting what you pay for . from all angus beef to home made ketchup, chipotle ketchup, and jalapeno mustard. Would like better seating although its not bad. All and all great.
