Exceptional eating option, given that its at a facility that exists for public transportation. Beer on tap (and not just the mass produced beers), happy hour, and food that is made to order at very acceptable prices. Great patio that you can drink beer at and watch trains. Service is very good, which makes me *want* to leave a tip (and I do). Patio also has a piano if you want to play it. This train station happens to be a key point where BNSF freight trains go through between Long Beach and points east or south. So, you dont just see Amtrak and Metrolink. Perfect for railfans. Great to drink beer at while the kids do their trainspotting. As usual at places like this, some transient folks hanging around, but not bothersome.

Very laid back. Nothing fancy. Just a good place to wait for your train. Keep an eye out for the specials, theyre cheap and good. Also a pretty good beer selection for a train cafe.

Not too bad. If you are hungry & waiting for a train, give this cafe a try. Watching the trains go by as you eat can be fun.
