We recently had dinner with friends here and were very disappointed with our experience. We had reservations for 6:30, we seated immediately at a lovely table, however, no one came to serve us, take our order, nothing, until 7:15! Yes, for 45 minutes we were ignored, while tables around us were being served. The excuse was that there was a mix-up and one waiter thought the other waiter was given our table. Our order was finally taken, specials were mention without prices being mentioned. My husband ordered the special. It was the most expensive item on - or not on - the menu - however he had no way of knowing that. It was a lovely rib eye, however you could not taste it as it was smothered in an overly salty béarnaise sauce that was drowning in mushrooms...to much and too many. I had the crab cakes, not bad, a little spicy. We shared a dessert, the waiter recommended the bread pudding with cinnamon - caramel sauce. It was day old, overly sweet and once again, drowning in sauce. The staff did nothing to make up for being ignored for 45 minutes. Our dinner bill - for 2, no drinks - was $87! No likely to return soon...

The Bacchus House pretends to be more than it is. Had a dinner with my wife and daughter. Prime rib special, halibut and risotto, with cheese plate appetizer. The place is small and cozy, nicely decorated. The waiter was trying to impress us by describing how awesome and handcrafted the cheeses are and how their chef prepared the quince paste. Which was a bit funny, because I keep exactly the same set of cheeses and quince paste bought at the local Nugget. The wine selection was good, it is a "Bacchus House" after all. The food was Ok, though the prime rib was barely passing at the whopping cost of $45 (special!). Desert - creme brulee was not warmed up enough. Overall - overpriced, but you can find a few dishes the chef knows how to cook (risotto is one!) Go for the wine, skip the appetizers, do not expect much of the main course...

Called for reservations early in the day and let them know it is for our 9th anniversary. Upon arrival we were seated at a very small bistro style patio table. We asked for a larger table as there were several available. We were told they are very busy and all table were accounted for. Water was poured and our server took about 10 minutes to take our drink order. Which took 15 minutes to fill. This continued throughout the evening. The food was just PAR. I expected more at a restaurant of this calibur. $15 for the top glass of Cab, $31 for Halibut, $30 for Prime Rib. With prices at this level one would think the customer experience would be of more concern than it was. Not so much. This was a no return experience.

I took a friend to lunch for her Birthday. I ordered the wonderful Lobster Bisque soup and the Grilling Chicken Salad. The sound was fabulous but the salad which was $16.00 was a ripoff. It was mostly Romaine, a little onion, a little cheese and about 4 tiny broken pieces of chicken. Basically I paid 16 bucks for a bunch of chopped Romaine! I have been a fan and promoter of Bacchus since they opened. I am now rethinking if I will keep it on my favorite list. I dont mind paying higher prices for quality cusine but this meal I could have gotten better at any salad bar!

The food was a five but the service waa a 1. The waiter had everything out of sync. Had to ask for bread after the salad was served.should have had the wine flight with the salas but received it towards the end of out entree. Never asked to have our water filed or coffee with the desert. Our check number was 87434.

The menu is always changing. Always something delightful. My favorite when I am on the go is to stop by for the calamari and a fuji apple salad. The calamari is the best Ive ever tasted, so light and fresh tasting! The salad is awesome too! The service is always first rate!

Had to go there for a work meeting. Rooms can accommodate many people but kind of dark, not enough lighting. Food is OK.
