A true burger fan I eagerly awaited this opening for basically more than a year. Despite the limited accurate and recent press I basically had to do my own research and stalk them. Opening day was pretty crazy. 10 people were outside directing traffic, taking orders, running cards. It was a bit chaotic, but the usual In N Out experience did not suffer, fresh, amazing food, friendly staff. Staff was still being trained which was ok, a week or so of this and I’m sure everyone will be pros, like they usually are. Prices are the standard Socal pricing and all the regular and secret menu items are available. This location is extremely small, I fully expected the dining room to be 30% bigger. The parking lot is also small, never designed to handle 100’s of cars. The somewhat shared Oggi’s lot and gas station will be difficult to segregate. Definite design flaws. 9’6” standard drive thru height. I also expected more outdoor seating. I keep wanting a mega in n out which I’m sure no one would complain about. Inside was clean and new as well. It was strange seeing the spinning carousel of tickets which is unlike any In N Out I’ve ever see, usually it’s the sliding ticket holder. I feel lucky to have 3 In N Outs within 5 miles of me while all the Del Mar and Encinitas people had to trek all the way up to Carlsbad for it, now they have their own and I’ll still be eating here regularly. Places like Juanita’s are in trouble as they locked down the late night post bar eats for a long time. The speaker could be louder and I’ve always wanted a more modern menu lay out. Some of the storage is a bit visible from the drive thru, which isn’t bad, but leaves less to the imagination. If parking is bad go across the street to CVS lot or up the road to the Park & Ride.

It all began.... with a poor speaker box, to an innately inadequate earpiece, connected to an understatement of a UNqualified associate, to an outrageously unfit, uncaring "cooks", to the "face" at the window, who didnt know how to create change from & $40.00... Let alone know chocolate from vanilla... "OH CALGON TAKE ME AWAY..." -Minus the awful speaker box that needs tuning and some TLC, that I ASSUMED caused our order to seemingly come from Mars, IT CAME DOWN TO an associate WHO NEVER READ AN EMPLOYEE PACKET, WAS NEVER TRAINED ON DRIVE-THRU, LET ALONE SOCIAL GRACES A.K.A. MANNERS ( That IN-N-OUT were built on) did NOT know what a smear packet is, haha and literally just ignored the request of it 5 times, its an okay store. Certainly more training needs to be done. Im appalled that theyd place a new associate on the drive-thru... We ended up leaving after 22 mins with the wrong food, ICE COLD & a very confused young lady at the window when we asked at the speaker for our food in a box. Yeah, we ended up w ICE COLD BAG OF RANDOM FOOD. GREAT TIMES. NOT. ALL CAN BE AVOIDED IF HER TRAINER HAD DONE THEIR JOB. Thankfully we didnt order animal fries or worse a neopolotian shake! As it was, we were dying of starvation, drank the vanilla shake instead of chocolate & gave away 4 orders of fries that were too salty, which is why we ordered LOW-SALT, so wed have control. What a fool we were made of! I give 2 stars bc I love my In--N-Out but being told after 20+ mins there was ZERO MANAGER, SHIFT MANAGER OR EVEN SUPERVISOR AVAILABLE, I HAD AND MUST BE HONEST. Back to the training... It speaks for itself... We went to Jack In the Box after this fiasco & finally ate. Enough said, doncha think?

In-n-out is the only fast food I eat, and this particular location knows how to make me feel like Im eating at a neighbor burger joint even though I sat in my car the entire time since I used the drive up teller. 1.) They have a pretty girl taking my order, with the menu on the back of her tablet so I dont need to strain my eyes nor yell into a kiosk. 2.) The cute boy that takes my order asked how my day went, and what I did. I said, "I just came off a yacht," and he asked to see photos and was genuinely interested in what I had to say, as well as scope out all my friends in their bikinis. 3.) The food was promptly made, my order correct, animal style, protein style. The fries were a little over cooked but that doesnt deserve a whole star less. So maybe 4.5 stars. Definitely worth the quick stop after a long weekend.

We for only my 2nd In-N-Out experience this one wasnt as pleasant at the 1st. Order was wrong from the get go, leaving me waiting at the counter only to be told if I want the rest of my order (fries) Id have to reorder. Told them I ordered a #1 meal and they said but you didnt pay for a #1 meal....so I was disappointed and opted out of waiting and rolled.

Clean, efficient, and tasty. This is a classic spot to visit in Southern California, and it would be a shame if you are visiting and missed out. Uber, Lyft, and taxi drivers tell me many people flying in for the first time ask to be immediately brought to the drive-through for one of these famous burgers.

This is what a hamburgers all about. Get the chopped yellow chilis on your burger. I get my burger animal style and my fries well done. I like to get my fries well done so theyre crisper. If you get a shake, I like Neapolitan shake which is strawberry, vanilla and chocolate.

It was so cool on the day of the grand opening when the whole area was cordoned off with Servers from the street to the counter ready to help and take your order. The amazing service and quality fast food continues to this day! Happy to have In and Out in our community!

Very good burgers, but by far the slowest In n Out Ive ever been to. Make sure youve got a full tank of gas if you plan on going through the drive thru. Day or night, youre looking at a 20-30 minute wait for your food, regardless of how busy or slow it is at the time.

Was driving from San Diego to Huntington Beach and falling asleep. Saw In-N-out Burger, so I got off the 5 for a coffee there and it was the busiest place with the best friendly service. They were busting out orders really fast. The type of service you remember!

I honestly cannot tell which of at least three burger places I like the most. I consider In & Out, Smashburgers, and 5 Guys equally as good in each of their own ways. I like eating at these places better than other specialty hamburger places.

In-N-Out is the best tasting, dollar for dollar best value, fast food burger out of all the chains. Quality product with fast service and fair prices. Now for fries McDs wins their but for the entree this is the way to go for a fast bite...

Came here late. Gross tables all around. Hadnt been wiped down. Food was ok. Service was ok. But the tables are nasty. After seeing someone there didnt bother to clean up just picking up trays... just ended up wiping down my own table.
