I love Chipotle, I was excited to see there new cheese sauce. I went to order a bowl had the white rice and pinto beans put in and then was waiting for the next step which was for the meat to be chosen and placed in the bowl. During this time one of the workers went to change out one of the pans holding the chicken from the bain marie. While the pan was pulled out it was dripping water (water underneath the pans that keep everything warm) and it dripped into my bowl. I peacefully, respectfully brought the incident up. I asked if that was sanitary. They didnt know what I was saying so I pointed at my bowl and asked is that sanitary, because the water from the bottom of the chicken pan had dripped into the rice and beans I had in my bowl. The manager walked in the middle of the conversation and said that my hand pointing over the glass was unsanitary and that the water that dripped into my bowl was sanitary. Mind you there were small pieces of food in this water (water is used to heat everything not for eating) There was no apology, and she had an attitude about starting the order over. The server who starts the bowls totally understood. I stated, Hey Im not trying to create a problem, I just cant knowingly eat my bowl knowing that bain marie juice was dripping into it. The reason why this was a concern to me, was that I eat Chipotle a lot, and the server on the line seemed to not understand that this is a health issue. I didnt want anything free, or to cause a seen. I shouldnt be shamed, and disputed over a legitimate issue that I had. I dont have names but the manager had dark hair, dark circles under her eyes and a tattoo on her right lower inner arm. Im sure it was a mistake, that the runner or server should address. That could get someone sick, I am glad I just so happened to be looking at my bowl. But shaming and berating a customer that is making a reasonable request do to an employees mistake is wrong. The problem with people who have issues with people and decided to work face to face with the consumer is that they dont belong in the front line of a company. No one wants a companies first impression to be tainted due to rude people. I ask only to be treated as someone else would like to be treated. I received no Im sorry, or my bad, just a bad attitude that doesnt fit Chipotles friendly and welcoming environment. Work in the back and get angry at some dishes and take it out on the tough to get spots.

This is by far one of the best Chipotle locations around. I have been going there once a week for nearly one year. The staff is always friendly, efficient, and all around hard working. They give a realistic portion of food and are straight up just easy to engage with. Even when the line is long they are quick and never seem flustered or on edge. Management is strong with this location... I think his name is Eddie?. Ill be back for sure!

I love Chipotle in general. The food quality is great. It tastes get flavorful and fresh. The staff here have always been pleasant. Some locations are stingy on cheese with only a few sprinkles. This place puts on a reasonable amount of cheese. Generally this place its kept clean inside. The tables on the outside usually have some food sprinkles on them.

No matter how long the line is, the staff always has me in and out at lightning speed. Generally friendly and the dining area is usually spotless, drink station stocked, bathrooms clean. Its tough to work the service industry in an area like Costa Mesa with plenty of vagrants roaming around, but this chipotle always seems safe and clean.

Its pretty good Mexican food if you are afraid to actually go to a Mexican food restaurant. Its pretty harmless although around Costa Mesa there is no really good reason to go here when you have much better options around.
