Ive been going to La Paloma for decades. Went there the other night. Food was great as usual. I paid the bill with a $50 gift certificate (pristine condition) my wife found while cleaning a cabinet. She got it as a birthday gift five years ago. The waitress brings the gift certificate back with the cover ripped off, stapled to several receipts, the $50 crossed out, and $6.xx initialed & circled. The total bill was $27 - $6. I asked for an explanation. She said that I had used the certificate before and there was only $6 left. So ... Im left with their word against mine. The owner was there, my wife noted his picture with his wife on the wall. That is what happened! Believe it or not! I also have noted other negative monetary reviews of La Paloma. Great food, no integrity!

This restaurant is my all time favorite Mexican food restaurant for atmosphere and dining experience and delicious food. Ive been eating here for over twenty years. It is the best in the area now. I love the whole menu. The fact they warm the chips shows you they care about your dining experience. The best chips around. They even sell them if you want to take some home. One of my favorites is Chiles Rellenos, Spinach Enchiladas, Tostadas Salad Bowl, and Chilies Verde. All excellent. I dont drink but if you do the menu looks good.

It is amazing how the food has been consistently good for over 30 years. I almost always get the burrito enchilada style. Big pieces of meat with beans in a large flour tortilla covered with spicy chile colorado sauce and cheese. The chimi is also good. My wife enjoys the salads (they have one with the chile colorado). Salsa is great. It can be very crowded at times, but thins out after 8:00 p.m. Service is very fast (no long wait for food) and professional.

This is a great place to take friends and family. I consider it to be between casual and business casual, and the serving sizes are large. The free chips and salsa that you get when you are seated are excellent - I believe that they make the chips themselves. They arent stingy with the alcohol in their alcoholic beverages, and I recommend the Cadallac Margarita. Overall, great Mexican food and good bang for your buck!

I been coming here since I was 8 now Im 42. They have the best beans in the world(Ive looked) Going there today for enchiladas, shredded beef or chicken tacos are to die for. Love the atmosphere and the owner has kept it the way it was since I was a kid, no other place like it...looking forward to lunch today We drive 50 + miles for there food at least 15 -20times a year.

This place has REALLY went downhill in the past 5-7 years, Tables Open, lots of tables...had to wait to be seated....15 minutes while the "hostess" tried to locate the host, and talk about her day, then 10 minutes till server showed.. When mom & dad, owners, where alive, & even when the children ran the place...never had to wait, unless the restaurant was packed.

Ive brought my family here several times now. The only thing better than the food is the service. My only complaint would be the parking lot. It fills up fast, and then customers begin to get creative with the parking, which makes it harder to get out...if you see an empty spot at the curb in front, take it. Your overall visit will then be awesome!!!

Reasonably priced food at a historic location. Our server was excellent and knowledgeable. Beer is exceptionally cheap here. The setting is more of a family style, so not recommended of you are looking for a more quiet, intimate location. Food was above average, and for the price very acceptable. 9/10 would eat again.

I wish I could put 0 stars. If a customer wants no ice in their orange juice, it means no ice. Really rude and food was not satisfying. Asked to replace a plate I took one bite of and disliked and they still charged for both plates that I only took one bit of and disliked. Not on my return to list

I dare you to order the kitchen sink burrito! Its the greatest thing Ive ever seen or tasted! Actually everything on the menu is delicious! The refried beans are the best Ive ever had! If I moved out of California tomorrow, La Paloma would be the only restaurant I would miss!

First time, 40miles from home, hungry, has some authentic environment. Carnitas plate, rice, beans, tasty warm corn tortillas, delicious. Leftovers, almost two more servings for me later that night and next day. Mmmm

Although I liked the food and its reasonable plus its close to home I felt they were extremely rude of me having a large service dog . I got my food to go and probably will never go back because of staunch attitude!

Poor service, very slow! Waited 20 minutes just to get drink order. Food is okay, nothing special, we must of had a magician for a waiter because he sure disappeared! Will not come here again very disappointed!

Get the Cadillac margarita... It will not disappoint. Rudy the bartender is super cool. Chips and salsa are awesome. Were sad we waited so many years to come here and missed so many years of deliciousness.

Great food & service. You better be hungry because the portions are large while still maintaining high quality. I definitely will be coming back for more. Dont forget to have a margarita or two.

Best Mexican restaurant in Pomona! This place has been around since 1966 and still going strong. Staff are friendly and prices are very reasonable. Must try their Machaca con huevos.

Ive been coming here since the mid seventies still as good as the first day I came here. Anyone giving anything less than a stiller review needs to have their head examine.
