"Excellent coffee. Theres a limited selection, but its all organic, free trade, roasted in the store, and very high quality. Atmosphere is even better. Its an open space, a converted business, with excellent art on the walls (by local artists) as well as poetry (by the owner & operater). There is a couch and several tables and chairs. Outside seating is a new addition. The owner is essentially the only employee. Hes an interesting guy who loves to talk about his coffee and the roasting process and has plenty to say about books and politics as well. The place is frequented by local artists, and reaggae & world music performances are not uncommon. This is on Washington, just off Lincoln, so you wont pass it unless you turn off Lincoln (the highway) but its well worth it. Much better coffee & much better atmosphere than the Calistoga Roastery."

The owner is delightful, funny, great sense of decor, makes the best cup of coffee Ive ever had! I normally butcher my coffee...cream, sugar, flavor creamers...I drink his black! The only place Ive ever been that tastes that good and Im picky! I have seen him open the store after hours, make coffee for passers by that were sad he was closed, whipped up whatever was left and they raved about how good that cup of coffee was! He has a genuine soul, is knowledgeable, and makes one feel at ease instantly. He is ALWAYS smiling! And I got to write on his wall! The most awesome place Ive ever seen! YOU HAVE TO VISIT! You wont want to leave! Thank you for all the hard work and care you put into every cup!

Nice service, the venue itself is kind of funky in a good way with a pretty laid back hipster vibe - nice to hang out. I would have given it another star but, seriously, $5 for a double shot 16oz latte is pretty expensive ($3 for a self serve!), the coffee is good but not that good and the venue doesnt warrant that price either. Still, slightly overpriced coffee in an otherwise shabby-in-a-good-way-hipster-chic hang out and a perfectly nice way to take a break from the Calistoga strolling.

Four of us went in for coffee. One black coffee, Mexican Roast; 2 Caramel Mochas; 1 Peppermint Mocha. All complained that there was little-to-no flavor. As for myself, the black Mexican Roast was like water. I actually poured it out after stubbornly drinking on it for five minutes. The place was cozy, and the service was great, aromas were nice...there is potential. You just have to ask for extra scoops of coffee when ordering.

My wife and I wanted a coffee and Yo el Rey appeared to be a roastery and we assumed they would serve great coffee. We ordered two americanos and the result was nothing better than muddy water with very little taste. Pass this place by if you are in the neighborhood.

I love this place there hours on Friday - Sunday on Google say that they not open that needs fixed! There hours our 6:30 am to 7: 00pm My lg. Hot Mocha with 3 shots of Espresso and Extra Chocolate was Soooo Great! Thank You

I love Yo el Ray. They roast their own fair trade beans and I havent found a better cup of joe anywhere. Try a overpour of the Ethopian..wow. Super good vibes in there and cool art.

Had a delightful almond milk latte. Tasted their honey vanilla latte which was amazing but a bit too sweet for my liking. Glad I got what I did. It kept me happy as we drove up 29.

Delicious coffee selection - very unique. I love that they have 4 different vegan milk options (almond, soy, coconut or hemp). Definitely recommend stopping there!
