Well, a really strange experience here but mostly on the positive. First of all, have you noticed theres no phone number here on Yelp? Well, if you go to their website, unfortunately you wont find one either. That is just odd. The only reason I wanted to call them was to see if they were open on New Years. I also had signed up for their pizza studio account. You need an account to order online and youre also able to receive an email for a free pizza here. It states you can use it "on the week of your birthday" It wasnt my birthday but I signed up for my significant other, but before we get to that, lets talk about the toppings. I have to say, compared to my favorite Blaze and Pieology pizzerias, it was very comparable. This place also has artichoke, red onions, sausage which I like. Pizza Studio only has one kind of sauce though and I would say the toppings are not quite as many as Blaze but the size of the toppings were a big bigger. So thats a plus. One of the negatives Ive heard from my friend Dave was that it really depends on who you get here putting on your toppings. He had an awful experience on the girl behind the counter who put his toppings sparingly while he wanted more like a handful. As for us, we didnt have a problem. You then tell them your name and go to the register. At the register, all they ask for is your email and the email address (yes for me, that was kind of odd asking for personal information). But then again, this is a small chain, I think they are just starting out . As they will find out, this would be a chaotic system to keep track of everyone. Not to mention abuse. For taste, the crust is thicker than that of Blaze but of course not that thick in which it still came out slightly crunchy. The toppings were quite good but I think I wouldve liked more cheese, it was a bit dryer than I expected. Overall though, not a bad place for a $8 all you can put topping, make your own, pizza.

Take it! Take another lil pizza my heart, now baby! The Pizza Studio, yet another great place to eat in the former Nationals Sports Bar location. For $7.99, you can create your own pizza or choose pre-set pizzas for $5.99. The helpful employees guided us through the process of building our own custom pizzas. Customers have to pay for double of the same toppings, but I was quite happy with the selections available. For the crust, I wanted to go with the gluten-free, but was told it would be $2 extra. Instead, I opted for the rosemary herb. I chose goat, feta and mozzarella cheese, along with salami & pepperoni. For veggies, I went with bell peppers, mushrooms, banana peppers, red onions, among others. Last, but not least, I chose the tomato basil pesto for the sauce. Cooking time only takes 2 mins due to the thin crust and the automated Super Duper Pizza Oven 5000 (not actually the name of the oven). Mmm, tasty! Large enough to share for 2, the crust had the best of both worlds of being both a bit crispy and a bit soft. I loved the goat and feta cheese, the salami was tender & succulent and the sauce was tangy & rich. As we were eating, an employee checked on us to see if we wanted some parmesan cheese or ranch dressing for dipping. Nice touch, my good man! Seating is sufficient but The Pizza Studio gets packed during the prime hours at lunch and dinner. The restaurant was spotless, regardless of the lunch rush. Parking can be kinda cumbersome, with Jersey Mikes, Starbucks, Chipotle and soon to open Yogurtland and The Habit sharing the same lot. Looks like Ive found another great lunch spot in my area. I highly enjoyed my custom pizza, with quality toppings and only a short wait. I cant wait to come back to see what creation I can come up with next. Highly recommend! NOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOM

Love, love, love Pizza Studio. How do you go wrong with unlimited toppings? Subway for pizza, man oh man. My first first was 4 stars because of rude and unprofessional associate named Art. I decided to give the restaurant another go and this time I gave it 5 stars! Have pizza your way! Select the crust, sauce, toppings etc to make your custom pizza. Tangy BBQ is so....good! Food and atmosphere is not the issue but it was the customer service my previous visit. My most recent visit was this past Tuesday during lunch time! Jason was unbelievably a pleasure. My friends were not aware about the concept of the Pizza Studio. Jason explained the process, provided the group with his personal and customer favorites. We honestly went with a little of everything, combining our favorites with other peoples favorites. Besides the pizza being delicious but lets not discount the cookies. Wowzers! The combination of awesome food, service, and fun atmosphere make this a clear winner. I will definitely be back soon!

The Pizza Studio is another variation on the popular DIY pizza that is going around SoCal at the moment but in my opinion, it doesnt match up to the better experiences youll have at Pieology and PizzaRev. Pizza Studio has you basically going down a Subway/Chipotle-style area and choosing the flavors/sauces/ingredients for your pizza which will be baked on the spot and ready in about five minutes. Youll pay around $6-$10 depending on the pizza and extras you get. What is interestingly lacking at Pizza Studio are the variety of ingredients and cleanliness of the other pizza DIY locales. It doesnt compare and has a tough time competing along with a variety of desserts and drinks. The price may be slightly cheaper and for Cerritos/Buena Park residents, it isnt that far but I feel that it still needs more time to bake in the oven before coming out as a great meal.

Better than most of the other build your own pizza spots. Something that makes them stand out is their unique choices of crust and at the end they offer different seasons to top the pizza with which other places dont offer. I didnt go topping crazy but they say they are unlimited and they have a ton of choices so theyre bound to have something you like. Something i noticed was that the crust wasnt as "floppy" as the kind Ive dealt with at Pieology, at that restaurant i usually need a fork to get everything that falls off but i didnt have that issue here. Its thin crust but it holds better. They also have a good atmosphere with local art on display and music that fits the mood. I live about 20+ minutes away but Im sure Ill be back.

The best way to describe this place is a pizza version of chipotle. Basically you get to build an individual pizza anyway you want it. There are other places that follow the same concept but I prefer pizza studio because they tend to have fresher ingredients than the rest. You can choose from several types of sauces and crusts, and there are no limits on the toppings. I think some other places put a limit on the meat toppings. Also, Pizza Studio has better customer service in my experience. They also have a loyalty card where each dollar you spend adds points and you also get a free pizza on your birthday. The only downside for me is that they are about 25 minutes away. I wish they had more locations.
