Calamari appetizer was an excellent start. The lemon butter sauce was unlike any wed eaten before. It made the difference. However, The bread was stale. The clam chowder was pasty and tasteless. Clearly clams were present, but if you didnt see them youd think you were merely eating potato soup. The mixed greens salad was bitter and earthy, as if it was unwashed. The carrot slices were old and dried up, like theyd been sitting in the refrigerator for days, uncovered. Not to mention the cucumbers and tomato. In fairness, the waiter took the salad off the bill. We did not order salmon because it was Atlantic salmon.... they boast on their sign that they are are "Fishetarian".... I would have paid a higher price for "wild caught" Pacific salmon, especially since there were more salmon offerings than any other fish on their menu....

We spent the weekend around the wine country and came across this shack along the water and decided to try out their raw oysters before dinner at another restaurant. The raw oysters displayed at the restaurant looked much bigger than what we eventually got. We ordered a dozen raw oysters and ended up waiting for about 30 minutes to get what we ordered. The speed was extremely slow. The place seemed quite disorganized and I had to talk to a few different staff to ask if they could speed up my order - after all, we only ordered raw oysters that shouldnt take that long. With the speed of serving the food, the very small/disorganized eating area, and the price vs. the much smaller oysters we got, we dont think we will come back again.

Food was good, hot, reasonably priced. Staff was courteous. Excellent beet salad. Generous bowl of Fisherman stew was heavy on the fish and wished there would have been a couple more muscles and scallops. The tomato/marinara based broth was not overly spicy. The Rock fish had a light fennel crust and was perfectly cooked. It came with way too much delicious creamy polenta and perfectly cooked seasonal veggies. Complimentary sourdough bread had good flavor but was pretty chewy/tough. Might have been better served warm or offer an alternative bread. I didnt see or hear any unhappy customers and I would highly recommend Lucas Wharf.

Busy place on a Saturday night. Cant tell you about the ambiance because we were seated three feet from the door at a wobbly table. Bread was served immediately, but thats where the good service ended. We did get drinks in a reasonable amount of time, but they were almost empty before our order was taken. Food arrived promptly, but was not as described on the menu. According to your menu, Lucas Wharf , your sauteed scallops were supposed to come with linguini. Despite paying $25 for an incomplete meal, the scallops were fantastic. The fish and chips were average, large portion. I will exhaust all other options before returning.

Please do not go here. The sides are completely overlooked: frozen vegetables with the plastic look, minute rice, and Costco popcorn shrimp. The Oysters and fish were bland and disheartening. The whole restaurant was a tourist gimmick. Servers are trained to raise the price of your ticket. In my families case it was charging for items ordered but never delivered. They suggested the most expensive wine and then brought the wrong one. The server even failed to deliver the free bread that every other table had. I dont mind paying top dollar for a good meal, but this tourist trap is overkill, please skip this place.

I love the people. The bar. The view. And the oysters. But the food is overrated. Its underseasoned and overpriced. I ordered the steamed muscles and for nearly 30 bucks thats pretty much all i got. Now dont get me wrong ill pay a premium price for excellence, in reality thats what i expect. But im not just here for an atmosphere. I want perfectly cooked expertly seasoned freshly caught seafood. Nothing i have to add salt and pepper to, and unfortunately i put it on my clams and my chowder tonight. Such a shame to because thats ALL it needed.

I loved this place! My husband stopped in for a quick drink before dinner, It was nice to get in away from the hustle and bustle of the major tourist crowd outside. The place has a really old- school vintage feel. The staff is attentive and friendly. Our bartender was awesome! The wine that he recommended was perfect (and I know good wines!). He was also able to recommend a good area for us to check out while we were in town. The views were pretty cool too. Overall, Id definitely visit this place again, and next time I want to try the food.

The service staff was pleasant and prompt. Although the bread brought to the table was nothing special, the food was great! We had the seafood stew, the pan fried sole, and the seafood pasta. All dishes were large portions and very fresh tasting. The desserts were all made fresh at the restaurant. We had chocolate cake, cheesecake, and key lime pie. All tasted great, although the key lime pie was a little heavy like a cheesecake. The view was good, and we will definitely stop there again.

The food was terrible. Pasta sauce was watered down, the clam chowder tastes like it was heated out of a bag, the vinaigrette on the salad tasted like it was mostly distilled white vinegar and vegetable oil. The salad itself was a couple of lonely grape tomatoes lost among a forest of wilted iceberg lettuce. And the "homemade" sourdough could have been made by your local shoe cobbler. My beer was pretty good though, although I hate paying $100 for just two.

Anyone who goes to a seafood restaurant in a fishing village area and orders a hamburger and then slams the food is not from this planet. We have been going to Lucas Wharf for many years while passing through BB. This place has excellent ambiance and even better food unles your some rejected Iron Chef table cleaner who likes people to think you have a cultured palate. Excellent service, food and ambiance try it you will like it.

Nothing overly fancy about this seafood place on the bay. Food is palatable. Had the clam chowder, fish and chips, and Caesar salad. Chowder was good. Didnt thrill me. Salad was fresh, as were the shrimp. Fried fish was a bit oily. Service was pleasant and attentive. The interior could use an upgrade. Had an older fish shack feel. Overall its an okay place to grab a bite. Food is a bit pricey. Enjoy the view

Excellent food I like the way they served the cracked crab New England Style. The dining room is very clean and great views the only thing the service is a little slow. We had a party at 3 the table setup for two we had to ask the waiter twice to get an extra place setup other than that. I had a pretty good dining experience there and would probably eat lunch there again someday .

We chose Lucas Wharf simply on the basis of the name(our son is called Lucas), what a mistake. The food was pathetic and the service below average. The salad looked and tasted like it had been shot out of a salad gun and the snapper I ordered had absolutely NO flavor at all. This restaurant is terrible and overpriced for what you get. DONT go there, youll be dissappointed

Went there tonight - a little busy but....no excuse for such poor service (only the bartender could get us our sodas....and she must have been REAL busy as it took 10 minutes for the first round, 15 for the second); salads promised, then forgotten; slow & no manager on property. Food was ok, not quite "pretty good" -- would never go back.
