This shop makes better Steak Subs than Pats in downtown Philly! I checked. Do I miss the rhythmic cadence the cooks once tapped out on the grill Benny Hana style? You bet. Do I have 3 more and then get a freebie? Most certainly. The key is the meat and cheese synthesis. They prepare the meat by shredding and then combine provolone cheeses melted together with the cooked meat while steaming the bun over the entire sub; all with an inverted lid. I saw the meat and it was marbled beautifully hence the flavor enhancement The sweet peppers and onions on the side are perfect. Found the shops in Philly a tad dry. Just a personal preference I guess. A nice touch at this shop is the sports section pressed between plexiglass sheets along the bar seating. Its clean and family friendly. Do try it, And that is why it gets an above average.

Im from the Philadelphia area and think I know what a good cheese steak tastes like. Ive been all over the country to places that say they have great, Philly-style cheese steaks. Some are good, most arent. This had potential. Was it tasty? Yes. The biggest problem was that the meat was doused in way too much ground black pepper. Dont know whats up with that. Additionally, these are small cheese steaks. I normally fill up pretty quickly, but I felt like I could have eaten one and a half of these - and I had the "King of Philly," which is supposed to have extra meat and cheese. The service is pretty slow. This place is a chain so apparently, theyre all over California. Would I go back? Eh, maybe if Im passing by for lunch.

After standing at the counter for at least five minutes and being acknowledged by the owner and his wife they failed to ask me if Id like to order to which they continued about their business. Please if your going to open a business and want it successful try to acknowledge your patrons as they are your lively hood and dont just assume they are on your time!!!! I would encourage to other potential patrons that if your in a hurry and have limited time or appreciate good customer service then this is not the place for you.

Usually very fresh and just what I ordered. Parking can be a bit inconvenient so its best to go before or after the rush. Ordering online will make it much less painful. Very small location so not good for large groups. Wednesdays sides are half price and Tuesdays & Sundays are double stamp days. They offer frequency cards that get a stamp for every $8 you spend. So itll double up faster on those days. A fully stamped card gets you a free 10 sandwich!

I tried to call my order in they pick up and say "Can you hold?" I say "yea". They must have killd me when I seen 1 min pass but when 6min came .. And I pull up and see One person walking up .. I lost it! I ask them "why am I still on hold " they say "I dont know"? I just walk out .. I cant

I grew up eating these Cheesesteaks and they became my expectation on what a good cheesesteak is. They do it right and produce a great experience and better food. If in the local area visit it and see if you agree that it is a worthy investment!
